Everyone needs to be aware that if fishing on Padre Island National Seashore property the use of ghost shrimp pumps and harvesting ghost shrimp is prohibited. You can still possess the Texas daily limit of 20 and according to the park last time I asked you may bring them in to be used for bait but cannot harvest them within the park property. I would recommend verifying with NPS before trying to take ghost shrimp into the park. Another law that people are not aware of is that native shrimp only can be used for bait in Gulf waters and Texas law forbids the use of non-native (imported) shrimp.
