IWF is well known to be ultra-trash all around. Out of touch with its own lifting community, rife with corruption and incompetence, and completely clueless with how to make the sport grow or even survive. It's sadly the largest and most official body that weightlifting has.

She is clearly stronger than Toma thus can lift more but Toma is at the top of her game, she just needs to get back into the same form she was a few years back. Reeves easily has it in her to be the worlds best in her category. Just needs more experience.

As for Israel, they compete in European athletic games because they are a part of the European Athletics Association, they've been a member since 1990 i think. It's a cultural and political thing where basically no middle eastern country wanted to play nice with Israel so they got a lifelong membership to EuropaGym.

I guess its more like practice at an international stage. The environment and complexities of an international stage are much more different than a state or even national competition. A lot of coaches playing mind and number games with attempts to try to force other athletes to take attempts they aren't prepared for or force other athletes to take higher numbers than originally planned. That kind of competition politics happens the most during international competitions.

Yes, Olivia is great. Novelty creates a lot of buzz. She IS the future. HOWEVER, it will take years before she is the caliber that Toma is.
