Yep. He already developed some issue with his right leg after the 2nd. Going for WR there risks turning that small issue in to a serious injury and screwing up the rest of the year. Good decision.
Jackshredz Nino has been competing on the international stage for a decade. He’s not getting psyched out by anyone. The 175s were very close, he cleaned 222, 5 more than he’s ever attempted in competition. I don’t know what is going on inside his head and neither do you.
@@johndoherty-hh2ck I have a high respect level for Nino, but he has without a doubt let Karlos into is mind. You can tell by the way they act around each other, it’s Nasars most infamous tactic
Seb makes a perceptive comment when early on he says sometimes you forget Karlos is a junior because he doesn’t compete in junior competitions. If he did more than likely he’d be winning 4 straight junior worlds (2021-2024) The last time I see another junior beating Karlos’s best total for the year was 2020 when the American Maurus out totaled him when Nassar was just 15(different comps).
What an awesome competition! That 224 write in was such a chad move when it looked like they were going to one up each other to the moon. The Greek lifter was my MVP though
What I don’t get about this is how the announcers make a big deal out of the home town cheering failures of Nassar’s direct competitors. I point out I am more of a fan of Nino’s than Nassar’s when I say this. As long as the crowd is respectful before the lift; and they were quiet for every single lift in this session, they can boo, cheer, or whistle as far as I’m concerned upon completion of the lift.
Because the weightlifting championship of the Americas this year was in Venezuela and the U.S. was not invited... But in the se time the U.S. had to compete for Olympic spots so they had to compete somewhere.
I enjoyed the fight between Robu and Asayonak even more than Nassar/Nino. I didn’t think either one of them were good for the 207. Super clutch leapfrogging over each other on the Paris list. Asayonak’s 374 is the line in the sand now. Santavy(slim)Damron(very slim)Imadouchene(very, very slim) are now the guys on the outside with chances for Paris.
Just cancel the back squat. Front squat only, ass to grass. Sumo deadlift will make the rest for where the front squat doesn't go when it comes to mass. specificity comes first tho, so both of them should just be a secondary lift
@@AndreaPrestiofficial Stop waffling. There isn't a single (respected) weightlifting coach alive that will prescribe sumo deadlifts for a weightlifter.
@AdStellae- back squat works the abductors they say........I say cancel the back squat, so the sumo is the only lift to work your abductors and grow your legs, which is important for the sport. Specificity does the rest, that s why the front may be a better healty alternative to the back, which is not really that safe performed ass to grass, especially without gears.
@@AdStellae- You don't have to argue, don't worry, you don't even have an opinion but what others say. Your entire being seems to be just a waffle around that s why i suggest to start reading book for you than to training either back or front squat.
What a shit show the olympic selection is. It would be so much better to do a 2 week competition for the olympics where they whittle down 30 athletes in groups rather than just taking 10 athletes and having only 1 session.
Off questions: When you ask a God or Gods or whoever one may make a gesture or praise to, are they asking this God to aid them in the lift? If they are and they get the lift was that their God actually helping them lift the weight? Also in addition, if they fail the lift does that mean God was too busy to help? or he/she (God) just chose not to help the lifter lift the weight for whatever reason? If so then why do they never give praise to give for failed lifts as well? Wouldn't the God be in control of everything to include failed lifts too? Why do we ever see a lifter pointing to the sky thanking their God when they fail a lift? My final question is why would a God care anything about someone lifting a barbell successfully while millions of children perish from lack of food every year?
Strange question to ask here but I’ll give my perspective. God and the devil both exist, us humans have free will, god and the devil won’t interfere with us. I believe they ask god for strength I don’t believe God gives strength but I believe he’ll give you what you need to perform at your maximum potential.
@@Texaslivinn97 mm nice religious perspective, but that's just an assertion. You're just saying there's some god and some devil, with zero actual evidence to back it up. They both are living everywhere among us, and It's the aliens from a distant galaxy that make humans do bad things or good things.
SHAME ON THE BULGARIAN AUDIENCE. Weightlifting has always been a sport where we cheer for each other. Booing someone as great as Nino just shows how far the people of this world have degraded. Shame on all of you.
Pauleck you’re hearing things that aren’t there. There was no booing. As I said before I’m more of a Nino fan than Nassar fan but I appreciate both. The crowd was quiet as Pizzalato approached the bar. It’s true they cheered his misses but let’s get real here he is going head to head with a national hero. If you don’t think they’re going to respond in a manner supportive of their guy you don’t know much about human nature. A lifter is entitled to quiet as he makes his attempt. Nino got a fair shake. Some lifters use crowd response as incentive. After his misses do you think he was thinking “They’re being mean to me” or “I’ll show those mfers”

Yes😂
