      I’m surprised that there is no cage with an arca swiss mount on the side. I think theyre probably emphasizing on the cinema part of this camera. I’m waiting on my Tilta cage but I am considering to just mount a quick release plate on the right hand side.

    Nice vid and nice rig guy ! Love it.
    But in your video you use a cage for the A7SIII and not the one linked in the description for the fx3 or fx30. Any reason?

    • @MikeBSalazar
      @MikeBSalazar  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      When I built the rig in this video I didn’t yet get an FX30 rig. Highly recommend an FX3/FX30 cage over an A7SIII. If you needed to rig one up like me, just wanted to show it was possible.
      I found out later that you could use an FX3 cage for the FX30 since its really the same body. The new cage I have now is labeled for the FX3 haha. Perhaps I’ll make a video on the actual cage I use now.

    Such a beautiful rig ❤.
    Is it possible to balance this entire rig with the RS3 PRO? Actually, I really wanna rig up my camera, but the problem is switching between rig and gimbal. And isn't it's pain in the ass to change the lens? Attaching the matt box again and again?

    • @MikeBSalazar
      @MikeBSalazar  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I haven’t used this kind of setup on a gimbal before but I would think it could, it just gonna be quite heavy.
      And I prefer to use a zoom lens for the mattebox. Otherwise I have other rings for other lenses.

    Nice setup! How do you use Variable ND's with the matte box?

    • @MikeBSalazar
      @MikeBSalazar  ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Hey,
    Awesome explanation for begginer like us,
    But, i had some severels questions to ask you ;
    Can i use the wikinou v mount battery to charge directly to the camera ( USB to USB type C ) it still charge so why do i need to buy ( dummy battery )
    Plus i have a Feelwolrd F6 plus pro, do you think it ll work for this montor @7:51
    i can just find the right cables and then i dont need to buy dummy battery ?

    • @MikeBSalazar
      @MikeBSalazar  ปีที่แล้ว

      I appreciate the question!
      You could also charge that way. That’s not a problem at all. It may not charge quick enough to keep the battery at 100% through USB-C. I didn’t want to have to change out Sony batteries in between. Either way, vmount battery or Sony battery, a battery will be changed eventually. I just change less frequently with just the dummy battery.
      The feelworld plus pro should work with the setup. Just choose your battery solution.

    Hey Mike! One more question if I may...I will get the FX30 this month and I intend to learn it and then do a 2 camera shoot-just an interview...I will use my SOny a6400 and my FX30...for easy to use I use a Neutral creative style on the A6400 -I just reduce the saturation and contrast and sharpness a bit and it looks good enough straight out of camera-some lumetri helps a bit...but I don't think the FX30 has creative styles-just the logs or not...correct? the easiest would be S-Cinetone (pp11 correct)...will this be the closest I will get to matching the video quality to my a6400? how would you try to match them? thanks man

    • @MikeBSalazar
      @MikeBSalazar  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey Erick! Good question. Personally I would shoot S-Log 2 on the A6400 and S-Log 3 on the FX30. I haven't used S-Cinetone much, especially when matching with my A6400. I can give it a shot this week, if your interview is not coming up too soon.

      @@MikeBSalazar hey hey..I decided to get the FX30 yesterday...impulsive I know! and I spent a few minutes setting it up. I got 2 genuine Sony batteries for now..I got a third party charger-Neewer-I think a third party charger will be ok, but I will buy only genuine Sony batteries to avoid issues. I may get a cage or not...I think I'll be able to match the FX30 with my a6400. I will do some testings this week. I will use my Sony 18-105mm f4 mostly...I have a sigma 16mm f1.4...that's it...but I don't have a decent "low light" lens...should I go for the Sigma 18-50mm f2.8? how much of a difference there is between a f2.8 and my f4? I wish there was a Sigma 18-35mm f1.8 for Sigma (I have the Canon version and I know there is a Sigma adapter to adapt Canon lenses to E mount but I'm not sure it will be as good for autofocus etc)...anyway...not sure the Sigma 18-50mm f2.8 will be A LOT better than my f4....I guess f2.8 is the best there is when it comes to zoom lenses for Sony APSC? Another option would be to get a Sigma 30mm f1.4...what would you do? Thanks so much

    • @MikeBSalazar
      @MikeBSalazar  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@TheFandangovideoguy The autofocus of the Sigma 18-35mm with the SIgma mc-11 adapter is so good the out looks native. just be mindful of audible focusing noise.
      If you need the extra stop of light and you are really running and gunning, the F/2.8 from Sigma 18-50 will help. I haven't used it before but others claim its of great value for the price. I've used the sigma 30mm and that's an excellent value there already and if you need to zoom in you could clear image zoom on the right hand zoom rocker on the camera.
      If low light is your priority, Sigma 30mm is the choice. Versatility? Choose Sigma 18-50. For the form factor of both you can't lose. If you're lighting your interview well, the 18-105 can carry you, the sigma 30mm f/1.4 will be best for image quality and low light.

      @@veezybombay The a6700 is a great tool that can maximized by a pro creator like yourself, but if you’re going heavy on the video I highly recommend the FX30. First off, dual SD cards, avert the risk from the possibility of a single SD card corruption. Second, overheating will never be a problem. Three, longevity. Even if you decide to go full-frame or upgrade entirely to a new camera, the camera itself is a workhorse and I believe it’ll hold it’s value not just in the market but also for the job to be able to perform. You can still use the cam interchangeably as an A-cam or B-cam for future rigs for future projects.
