i have no idea how you have that star screen for your animations. im so frusterated all im trying to do is add a pickaxe rig with a idle animation that has ONLY ONE BONE. into unreal engine and nothing is working it keeps saying Imported bone transform is different from original. Please check Output Log to see detail of error.
ive had this problem for 3 days and i just started game developing 3 days ago....

Of all the Time I spent trying to figure this out and All the other videos I watched, This is the one that finally got me there. I'm a novice to blender so I didn't know about the "Non-Linear Animation" graph or the stash. Thank you dearly !

Wow thank you so much for the amazing tutorial, this was exactly what I needed! Extremely helpful
I have a few characters with complex rigs that work in conjunction with wrinkle maps.
I’m looking to transfer them to Unreal Engine for use with motion capture.
I need the wrinkle maps and their corresponding mask image maps, as well as topology, nodes, drivers, shape keys and UV layout to stay the same. Is there a way to transfer all of these components in Blender to Unreal Engine and have the same character and rig in Unreal?
For instance when I open the character in Unreal Engine, will all of those components have transferred or will I need to redo them?
Forgive my lack of knowledge in Unreal Engine, I’m not familiar with it.

gltf can do that if the shader setup is the simplest imagineable

I have an issue with the animation... I created a running animation for my character which worked fine in Blender, but when I play it in UE5 the character T-poses for a frame and then plays like half of the animation, after which it loops again. I also had a second idle animation which worked totally fine. I have no idea what could've gone wrong here.
One thing I did notice is that the running animation showed up under the "root" in the nonlinear animation menu (with a star), while the idle animation showed up under the name of my character (without a star).
I followed the tutorial as exactly as I could. The only thing I did differently was ticking All actions in stead of NLA strips in the export menu (because I made the animations in the action editor and not with NLA strips).
If you have any idea what's going on here that'd be great.
Other than that, very good tutorial! I'm looking forward to seeing the next one!

Thx! This tutorial might help, it's the exact steps I used before this proces: th-cam.com/video/r4W36An8rCw/w-d-xo.html
Other than that check if you have all keyframe in right positions and have it making a fitting loop.

@@BuvesaGameDevelopment I just checked and realised, in the step where you press alt+R to reset the positions of the armature, it counted as part of the animation, so that was the issue. Thanks for the reply!

You have to create/add the material manually or edit the "automatically" created one, by adding the base texture (?).
