The Army spends 22 consecutive weeks on rifle marksmanship compared to marines spending 13 weeks how to walk and look pretty. Pretty sure Army takes the cake
@@elevenb6967 Bro this mf said we spent 13 weeks learning how to walk and look pretty, that's just our fucking boot camp (2 1/2 of those weeks are spent primarily on marksmanship). He compared your 22 week Infantry OSUT, 10 of those weeks being your boot camp if I'm not mistaken (which I'm certain isn't just 10 consecutive weeks of rifle marksmanship), to our boot camp without even including SOI for infantry marines which itself is 9 weeks. With his fucking logic infantry Marines spend a total of "22 consecutive weeks on rifle marksmanship" just like you 😂
Brings back memories. 1985 I was D-4-5 "Drop Forged" Ft. Dix NJ, the sand box. We were one of President Reagan's new basic training programs, it was voluntary, had a Red, White, Blue and Camouflage phase. Had all sorts of dignitaries world wide watching us. For the pass and review graduation ceremony we came up with our own weapons display we called the drill-tap, performed while we were marching, the best part was spinning the weapon, looked real sharp. I still remember each step to this day and mess around with a two by four every now and then. Still got it! Shout out to Drill Daddy Sgt. Lieback, Sgt. Washington and my first battle buddy Private Sizemore!
It looks cool af to the families, which is all that matters in this instance. We all know it’s shitty but what do you expect. They grab a bunch of privates that have decent hand-eye coordination and run through it a few times before this. It’s really not that serious.
I mean, it makes sense. They’re not like the trick drill team so they’re not expecting perfect precision for a national show in some arena. It’s good enough for the basics of soldiering. Obviously if they went for the drill team, the level of precision is higher as is the time to practice
It's been 43 years since basic, so I don't I only remember some of it. The last part (15 count) we never did, nor did we march with weapons. I never did any of this in PLDC or BNCOC.
@@StalkTheHypegotta give it to the marines tho, that dress uniform is just perfection👌 at least we’re making progress in the army ditching UCP and getting the old AGSUs back in
Marine Corps are better at DNC, Much better uniforms, and I believe generally Marines as a whole are more disciplined than the Army. In every other aspect though, the Army wins.
I did MCJROTC back in my high school years in 2003 and we looked better drilling with old m14s not one person was out of line and not one rifle was crooked and this men are professional soldiers.

Dang, that was good, but DC. Teach your soldiers how to move the weapon around their heads, and not their heads around the weapon. There shouldn't be any head movement.
I’m cracking up cuz all the marines are roasting army guys. Brother, this was 7 years ago, if only you saw how shit the dnc is now. I graduated bct in 2022 and my platoon’s dnc team was wayyyyy worse😭 when we went on our first FTX at AIT and got issued rifles I was shocked to learn that a bunch of my buddies from other basic training locations didn’t even learn dnc. It’s true what the crusty e7s say about the “new army”… THEY DONT MAKE EM LIKE THEY USED TO
Let me guess....You're yet another Gomer, whose obsession with the Army compelled you to click on an ARMY video, just to talk shit from your jizz receptacle. Did I nail it? Be honest. LOL. I mean, why are you even here? Shouldn't you be in your mom's basement beating off to a Chesty Puller pic? Listen Gomer, the reason your drill is so good, is because you spend an absolute KCUF TON of time doing it. Hell, a bonobo would be great at drill, if that's mostly all he did. That's why you have to go to MCT/SOI AFTER boot. You're too busy drilling, and learning lies, and stretched truths in your history classes. What you do in MCT/SOI, WE do in OSUT. Drill is cool, but it certainly doesn't win wars. Remember that, Pyle. ;-)
Delta force is part of the US Army SF branch. This is just regular TRADOC basic training. They go by the name Delta because this is the fourth unit in their battalion. The others are called Alpha, Bravo, and Charlie following basic alphabetical order.
@Wyteliberalrcst This drill is not bad. I've said it before, and I say again...Marines are not omnipotent supermen! They're good at drill, ONLY because they spend an absolute fuckton of time doing it! ANYONE can be a drill stud, if you did it constantly! In Army OSUT, we focus on training boots, and teaching them actual Infantry tactics! (You know, what REALLY matters on the battlefield) Not some bullshit lock-step goose-stepping! Ask yourself why 03 Marines must attend SOI AFTER boot camp! It's because of all the drilling they do, sacrificing real combat training. Like you said, kicking ass in battle is where it counts.
🤣 is this off the onion? Brah come on. I did my time in the Army and my basic training company did way better than your group of millennials 🤣 not your fault Drill SGT not your fault
The difference between the marines and army for drill is just insane, marines take the win everytime
