  • The new Rlaarlo Omni-Terminator is a little underpowered. Let's fix that and torture test bash it to see how it hold up. Is this the best small basher in the world? Is it better than Traxxas and Arrma for less money? Let's find out!

      That definitely can work as long as there isn't thread lock on it. In this case I didn't have a left-handed bit that was small enough.

    Just saw your gear mesh vid . I had it by feel and it was good but I had to keep messing with it and left it loose and destroyed the pinion and Probably the spur looks a little rounded so I had to order away . Glad Amazon had the parts . They didn’t have the upgraded parts though . I mean they had them but currently unavailable . So for the carbon fiber it’s a 24T 48P pinion and 65T (48P) spur . They do sell the spur alone but the whole center diff is double price . So hopefully I ll have one good one in and one back up in case I didn’t learn my lesson . I really like the channel and the RC hobby has kept me focused and it’s easy to stay busy after work when I’m doing the hobby . Sometimes I’d don’t do the hobby and fly drones or just play Xbox . I realize how other grown ups must see me with the toys and the tools and fun thjngs 😂. There’s 3 other kids on the street who are heavily into RC so it’s a good time around here . Good things 👍👍. We just run the 1/18- 1/12 size mostly but every now and again the nitros and Kraton 6s come out . My initial first month honeymoon phase impressions are very good . They had the mesh perfectly silent and zippy like a ninja . I ll get it right 🙏 and if I don’t I ll keep trying until I do . I remember how nice the black was coming off the steel of the teeth , nice and even near the tip .

    • @DoRC
      @DoRC  16 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      Setting mesh definitely can be a bit of an art form. There's the paper method that works pretty well but I recommend just getting good at setting it by feel and sound. You'll definitely get it pretty quickly!

    Awesome! Thanks a lot for that review. Really good to know that it appears to have no defect out of the box for a new model and it doesn't break, they're clearly stepping up their game! This will probably be my first rlaarlo model.
    For that smaller motor at 3100kv, if I compare with charts from similar motors, some can even run on 5s at around the same kv so I wouldn't worry about it on 4s. One thing I'm not sure is the carbon fibre chassis, I don't have any experience or knowledge on these, like how it would hold up to bashing and long therm use. If I'm thinking about buying the roller, would it be better to get the aluminium one for more durability and spare parts for smaller rcs? If I get the rtr carbon i'll probably ditch that esc and battery before even trying it (knowing myself lol) so I'll be thinking about that.
    Again awesome content and review, keep it up! 👍

    • @DoRC
      @DoRC  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      I wouldn't worry too much about it. The chassis itself isn't carbon fiber on the carbon fiber version it's just the two little braces in the middle and then some reinforcement plates in the arms. I don't think it'll make much of any practical difference for bashing durability.

    So on the carbon fiber version that comes with the 3650-2650KV motor, should that motor be able to handle the 27/28T speed pinion and a 4s esc? The motor seemed to be running a bit hot on 3s with the 24T pinion.

    • @DoRC
      @DoRC  หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      If it's running hot on 3S with a 24 tooth pinion it's going to be really hot on 4S with a 27 tooth pinion. That being said what exactly are you considering hot?
