Use the extra pieces they give you, so you can put up on its side and put the straps vertically... They give you 4 brackets that you can screw in on each side. The 5000 mAh batteries are put on their side so you should be able to do it with the shorty and still keep the ESC where it is...
Yea I plan on doing this when I switch to 4s or maybe if I’m not satisfied with the run time of the smaller batteries, any weak points on this rc as of right now?
@Danielxperez14 I heard diff cups were wearing out for some people and also the pinoin gear were stripping. I haven't had any issues with mine. I think 3s is perfect for the scale of this truck just get a higher Mah battery and C rating, if you go 4s your probably gonna wear out the diff cups and if you swap pinoin gears make sure you mesh it right. I'm running a shorty pack Powerhobby 3s 4200mah 120c Graphne 11.4v it gets about 45min run time with a few breaks here an there.
@@angkorpeck oh dang thanks man and yea I ordered upgraded cups but they won’t arrive for a while. I have two smaller cnhl 2200 packs but I’ll probably need to use the dual strap anyways
@codiekennedy-lt2kz yea I know both carbon and aluminum version comes with metal drive cups but people are still breaking them. Maybe from excessive throttling or constantly self righting when the trucks turned over.
Hi mate i got the same rlaarlo terminator RZ001B-C and i removed the esc to the centre breace. It's a bit front heavy so moving the battery helped and i put Louise mt cyclone 2.8 tyre's and it does backflips like nothing else. Thanks for information and great video mate 👍 🦘😁😁😁.
Nice wheelies bro!! I dented my hood and put the foam in. I got mine to backflip off a more steep ramp… them Zee Premium batteries give it a whole bunch of new power and I got 43mph on stock gearing. I’m going to gear mine up… I’ll let you know.. jumps sooo smooth… I tuned my shocks a bit (slightly heavier fluid) and no more slap on average jumps…
It seemed like it would if I had it higher in the air Personally I dont care if it does or not I know some people do so I show it. I know tires and center diff tuning will make a huge difference too. Funny how just a battery has it standing on that wheelie bar now lol
Me niether I pay for my stuff even if it got me views I am not breaking anything unporpose If I really wanted to get some back flips in the Kagama or 6s Kraton all day long with ease.
I am with you about not relocating the ESC. Putting it on top of the carbon supports seems like it puts it at too high a center of gravity with too much vulnerability. I will just get a small pack to fit.
You take the existing mount and use that they designed it that way then the esc is just in the way of everything maybe a better mount would be better personally I still dont want to move it your still stuck with a narrow channel for a battery just longer.
Very helpful video with the knowledge of this bigger battery I get these batteries tomorrow from Amazon. I had two questions though, where’d you get that ramp and what kind of stick battery goes in the controller I bought a “button top” one but I also see they sell one without it being a button top.
@Michael-yg7gr thank you very much. The ramp is from KC RC and as far as a remote battery I dont know I found this remote to hard to work the gyro setting is a real pain so I put this rc on my Dumbo radio which I like a lot more.
I charged the stock battery but I’ve never used it it’s only 35c I believe I’ve been using better Zee batteries I already had that fit perfect so I don’t know how it runs on the stock but right now I don’t see a great need to replace the electronics to make it faster it’s kind of small to over lower it & may make it tip over more around corners. I’m going to also put the other pinion in & test it out.
The stock battery is very weak its not worth using in my opinion if you already have better ones. Like you said its power to weight is pretty good and it does roll a bit easy buy it is a monster truck so thats expected I think they did good getting the speed and power set up just a weak battery.
I bought the non carbon fibre model, its only used for bashing and I didn't really see the need for the carbon edition. So, I bought 2x turnigy 2700 Mac batteries which fit well without moving the esc. I also have 2xZees 1300 Mac batteries (small capacity but higher c rating) and there is a noticeable difference in punch but they obviously don't last a long time. So the C rating does make a difference but my Son uses the car mostly and he gets a thrill out of this great little car regardless. The car is worth every penny for sure.
The c rating definitely helps with the punch mah will give you run time. I went with the carbon because it has a bigger motor and esc so a little more power I dont think its any stronger just a bit faster its a great value
It jumps pretty good usually lands nice and flat if anything it gets a bit nose down but its easily fixed its nice how the suspension soaks it up and doesnt bounce
I thought I broke mine the back right wheel stopped turning but instead of forcing it I picked it up & took the top off & cleaned everything out & still wasn’t turning then I turned it upside down & kept shaking it & a big rock came out & the wheel was free again I didn’t even see where it was wedged.
I didn't time it I ran on the street then had to go set up the ramp so time was a bit broken up. Definitely a lot longer than the factory pack that died before I could even jump it lol. I got done filming still had battery left to keep running it

Dont know , you will have to measure your battery and the tray 2 batteries can have the same specs and will not be the same size so its impossible to answer
No modifications I never lost the pack. It does sit on a lip inside so I would either trim the piece off or cusion it with a rag or padding of some type.
@santommaso6740 I think Gens Ace is a better battery if you can afford them the Zee is a good lower cost alternative. I did a speed run a while back compared Zee to Gens Ace v Traxxas and the Gens Ace had more speed
Can you help me?! How did I can remove the receiver box? I will change the light cable but the plug is to big to put it out! Where is it attached? Thanks 😊
I am not home where I can see the rc so I need a few days to look. You might pull the receiver out and see if there are screws under it if not it might screw in from the bottom or its part of the chassis
Oh… go watch Exocaged’s new Omni Terminator video. He put Gorgon tires on it and cool other stuff… wait till you see the backflips, front flips and air control
@NoodlesNJ1 yup honestly I dont have a problem with how it works I ran this on a rc track and jumps and like how it runs I have heard some say the brakes are too hard but I don't see it nothing like the MT10 that would endo and roof slide when you hit the brakes lol

Did you move the esc or how did you fit the battery?
I think im gonna stand my shorty pack on its side and install the vertical strap mount that came in the box.
Smc makes a 2900mAH 11.4V pack that's the same length and width as the stock pack for $25.
I am with you about not relocating the ESC. Putting it on top of the carbon supports seems like it puts it at too high a center of gravity with too much vulnerability. I will just get a small pack to fit.
It’d be great if someone designed a 3D printed ESC mount for this truck…to go right on top of the center brace. Maybe RC guy garage if he’s listening
