Charlie Cox in a Corridor is pretty dangerous.

    • @Wildtrexkid
      @Wildtrexkid 4 ปีที่แล้ว +130

its pretty much the job. Stuntmen are just trained sufferers who do the most dangerous stuff to keep others out of the roles and also train a tonne to do that stuff as safely as possible, a mainline actor could do all the training and such for it, like Tom Cruise, and be very good at it, but there is always the risk of an injury most directors will avoid. look how Tom snapped his ankle on that building jump and it stopped production until it fused back into a functional joint. not totally sure but think its like 2k dollars an hour of filming average these things so delays means paying people while no work is being done.

@@Wildtrexkid I really like Danny Trejo's opinion on actors who do there own stunts.
"I know that all the big stars hate me to say this, but I don’t want to risk 80 peoples’ jobs just to say I got big huevos on The Tonight Show. Because that’s what happens. I think a big star just sprained an ankle doing a stunt, and 80 or 180 people are out of a job… We have stunt people who do that stuff. And if they get hurt, I’m sorry to say but they just need to put a mustache on another Mexican and we can keep going. But if I get hurt, everybody’s out of a job. So I don’t choose to do that."

@@bluffleaf Well, I don't. Actors doing their own stunts is incredible, because it makes scenes so much better without the need for cuts. I'm not saying that everybody should do that, but I'm not going to listen to Danny Trejo's opinion.

Hung Ga is actually a southern style :V
Southern styles tend have a stronger emphasis on stable stances compared to northern styles. Karate is also closely related to southern Kung Fu styles (originally a Ryukyuan martial art which was in turn influenced by southern Kung Fu styles thanks to close cultural and political ties between Ancient China and Ancient Ryukyu).

Lau Kar-leung, who was one of the top choreographers and directors at Shaw Brother, was another Hung Gar practitioner. His father, Lau Cham, was trained by Lam Sai-wing, one of Wong Fei-hung's students, and appeared as Lam in many of the Kwan Tak-hing Wong Fei-hung movies that were hugely popular in 1950s Hong Kong. Lam was nicknamed Butcher Lam, and was also notably portrayed by Sammo in The Magnificent Butcher.

Rex Smith was the OG though. Most People Probably don't Remember that Rex Smith played the First ever Live Action Daredevil in the Movie the Trial of the incredible Hulk (1989). That Movie was the 2nd of the 3 Comeback Hulk Movies that made up the Ending of the Bill Bixby/Lou Ferrigno incredible Hulk Series that started with the incredible Hulk Tv Show on November 4th 1977 with the Pilot episode Wich was original a tv film that became the Pilot episode for the TV show. I recently Downloaded and watched that Entire Series and it was Awesome. I still Love the Classic Hulk and the Classic Daredevil was well done. I also though Ben Afflecks version of Daredevil in the 2003 Daredevil Movie was Great too though.

"Fly" is the tenth episode of the third season of American television drama series Breaking Bad, and the 30th overall episode of the series. Written by Sam Catlin and Moira Walley-Beckett and directed by Rian Johnson, it aired on AMC in the United States and Canada on May 23, 2010.
Walt, suffering from insomnia, stares up at his smoke detector's flashing light while trying to get back to sleep. Later, he arrives with Jesse at the superlab, where they begin making another batch of meth. At the end of the day, Walt calculates that their yield, while above what they are required to produce, falls short of what he expects. Jesse, who has been secretly taking small amounts for personal distribution, suggests it may be from other losses from spillage, but Walt insists there is another reason.
After Jesse leaves for the day, Walt sees a housefly in the lab which he fears could contaminate the meth-making process. He tries numerous means to swat it, even dangling precariously from the lab's catwalk, from which he slips and falls to the floor. When Jesse returns the next day, he finds Walt still in pain from the fall and demanding that they cannot start cooking until they get rid of the fly. Jesse worries about Walt's lack of sleep and suggests they go outside to figure it out. However, when Jesse leaves, Walt locks him out of the lab and goes back to find the fly. When Jesse disconnects the main power to the lab, Walt lets him back in so they can work together. Jesse gets some flypaper which they hang around the lab, as well as some sleeping pills that he secretly puts into Walt's coffee. He then recounts a story about his late aunt, who experienced auditory hallucinations as a result of her cancer spreading to her brain. Walt asserts that he is still in remission.
As they wait to catch the fly, the two talk about their families. Walt expresses that he should have died already and tries to think of the perfect moment to have done so: after he had enough money, after Holly was born, before his surgery and before Skyler knew what he'd been doing. He finally decides the perfect moment to die would have been the night Jane died, telling Jesse of his conversation with her father Donald. He tries to calculate the chances of meeting both father and daughter in different scenarios on the same night despite having never met either beforehand, but finds the odds too astronomical to calculate. Jesse is distracted when he sees the fly near the ceiling. As he tries to use a step-ladder to reach the fly, an increasingly-sleepy Walt seems poised to confess to Jesse about his role in Jane's death. Jesse tells him Jane's death was nobody's fault, but he still misses her. Jesse climbs back down and, seeing the fly land on the ladder, swats and kills it.
Jesse takes a sleeping Walt to a couch while he cleans up the superlab and prepares for their next batch. They later leave together, but Walt warns Jesse that if he has been skimming from their product, he will not be able to protect him if Gus finds out. Jesse denies taking anything and states that he isn't asking anyone to protect him. That night, Walt is again unable to fall asleep, and sees a fly landing on the smoke detector's flashing light

Just as I wanted to say, you should break down animated Avatar: The Last Airbender martial arts, you showed a clip from Sokka's Master episode. Briliant!

The way the different bending styles also to an extent reference different martial arts styles is really neat. The animation has such detail to it.

@@blyzer7373 how would it be redundant? Thor is pretty fat right now.

@@sam8404 Because "Nerd Thor" would automatically mean he is skinny

    • @sam8404

@@blyzer7373 that doesn't make any sense. I've met just as many fat nerds as I have skinny ones, if not more.

I like when Gi, that Aussie guy, and that OG white guy come on and talk about stunts. They are very knowledgeable and chill at the same time.
