    About Gimli-
John Rhys-Davies has been in three of the most successful movie series of all time. Indiana Jones, Lord of the Rings and James Bond (The Living Daylights).
I love analysing movies to see what actor has been in the most franchises. I believe Christopher Lee has the best record that I can recall: Lord of the Ring/The Hobbit, James Bond (The Man with the Golden Gun), Star Wars, Dracula, Gremlins, Alice in Wonderland, Sherlock Holmes, Fu Manchu, Police Academy, The Three Musketeers and Witch Mountain.
11 different franchises spanning 56 years from the first to the last (though his career was even longer), mostly lead roles with a couple minor roles or appearances. Impressive.

For the next one maybe look at drunken master where he gets kicked into the fire, and the bar scene earlier in the movie as well. so just wanted to share a neat piece of trivia from the last crusade clip. in the first three films, Indy wears his shoulder bag under his jacket. that's why he can't get free from the tank; the jacket would have to be removed first, then the shoulder bag would be free to be taken off, freeing him from the tank. he's effectively wedged the gun barrel between some that needs to come off and something preventing it from doing so. this is relevant because in crystal skull, he is shown onscreen having started to wear the strap over everything, because Indy is a professor who speaks often of learning from our history. he's showing an in-universe adaptation to changing conditions, the strap placement was fine originally, but he adjusted when presented with a new wrinkle in the plan. nothing could be more Indy then adjusting as he goes along.
i do want to explain why he chose to put it under the jacket originally, because i can think of a few reasons that make sense, but seem ill-advised in hindsight.
first, Indy has to deal with changing climates and temperatures regularly, meaning that taking off his jacket would entail removing the bag first, then the jacket. second, cars, trains, and especially aircraft of the period were absolutely tiny on the inside at the time, generally speaking. being able to keep the bag beneath the jacket minimizes snagging, and also reduces his physical profile, with the weight of the heavy leather jacket tamping the bag down so it doesn't jump around so much. and thirdly, Indy uses his bag to hold plot-relevant items, so it needs to be as secure as possible. stealing from it is a lot harder when its under a leather coat and kept close to the body. I've ridden on buses and trains with bags and have used this method before. I just flop it onto my lap, shimmying it around my shoulders to place it where i want it.
TL;DR: Indy's bag posed a problem in last crusade, so he switches to a safer method in crystal skull. just a neat in-universe development.

What they didn't mention is how even tbough it's interwar period/leadup to WW2 it's an old WW1 era tank, in the logic of the film it's the middle east so they have older loan tanks, but obviously chosen by the production because of the exposed treads, all WW2 tanks had the skirts and armor covering the top of the treads, but this works so much better for the danger and all the action beats

That movie was a huge disappointment. Every fight scene and other big set-piece had so much potential. They were really good concepts that could have been amazing scenes, but they all just fell so flat. Also, the sound design was TERRIBLE. I actually walked out of the theater with temporary hearing loss.

I've got a couple which are probably too obvious, but i'd still like to see broken down:
Police Story - Aside from the obvious fireman's pole stunt, in the opening bus scene 2 stuntmen take a wicked fall off the top of a double decker bus which looks ridiculous. There's also a bunch of falls and glass breaks in the end mall fight scene which look pretty hectic (not entirely sure how much is sugar glass).
Winners and Sinners - Jackie Chan goes under a semi-trailer on roller skates (not sure on timing and speed or if the tape is sped up).
Project A - Aside from the obvious clocktower fall, towards the ending Sammo Hung falls off a flight of stairs seemingly into a solid wall and takes a pretty big bump. He's only wearing a vest (no shirt underneath), so he doesn't look padded up in the slightest.
Armour of God - Jackie Chan fights 4 Amazonian looking women wearing high heels, there's a couple of falls that look pretty heavy. Also, as a rare "Bad Stunt", at the ending he base jumps off a cliff and somehow ends up landing on a hot air balloon (in one cut you can see a tree in the background) and abseiling from on top into the basket. The environment scaling is a bit questionable in that one, but the end wide shot is insane.
    Love your work!!

    1) Compare the Robin Hood and Nottingham Sheriff fights between the Errol Flynn version and the Kevin Costner version.
