I'm using one for a G25 shifter with my T300 (as well as the one for the pedals) and I absolutely love it. One thing you sadly didn't show is that there is a calibration software for the adapter that actually allows you to customize the actuation points for the gear shifts - the shifter is actually fully analog, it tracks the position of the shift lever at all times, it isn't just on and off switches for each gear, so you can play with the deadzones and such in the calibration tool. Coupled with the G25 shifter's 8 buttons+D-pad, it also serves as a handy button box, and obviously the G25 shifter also still features the option to switch to sequential mode, which is actually using different "buttons" so you can have both H-shifter and sequential mapped in the game at the same time, there's no controls conflict between the two modes. It makes the G25 shifter into a very handy and cost-effective option to extend your rig on a budget. The shifter itself can also be modded very cheaply and very easily to have a bit more resistance, and if you're not slamming the shifter like a madman, it is actually pretty good. Definitely recommend this solution for people on a budget. The pedal adapter is also great, one thing I really like about it with my modded brake and short-calibrated clutch (to move the bite point a bit higher) is that it stores the calibration data for your pedals, so once you have calibrated everything to your liking, it just becomes a plug and play affair with every single sim giving you the exact same response right away, no tweaking necessary.
Recently got meself a T300RS GT and now looking at buying a DFGT/G29 shifter because its so cheap in comparison (besides, i just need it to shift gears) to th8a. Why should I get this adapter instead of a generic DB9 Male to USB Male adapter-cable ? There are drivers available on github for free, and the cable itself costs only a few $ on ebay and amazon

i believe that thrustmaster sells a adapter on the thrustmaster website that u can plug in the pedals to and make them usb. and another one that is for logitech pedals into thrustmaster connection.... i always wondered if u could somehow use the pedal connection to plug the shifter into my thrustmaster to play on console but i doubt it . but iuno i thought i saw a dude with a DIY shifter on his console. so maybe

Also I’m running windows 10 64 version Barry will it be ok as I have g29 shifter but as it’s only H pattern I want to use my g25 shifter for sequential shift. No. You can only connect the adapter to a USB interface on a computer. You can still use the g29 wheel with the g27 shifter with this adapter as long as you are playing on a PC.

You can run the TH8A with a G29 on a PC using the USB adapter cable that comes with the shifter. If it is a PC game, this setup should work with it. You will have to consult the games documentation to see if there is a limit on the number of inputs it supports.
@@aaryaanali969 i have not tried yet, but it should, since they are nearly the same thing, with the RS232 being older and not being capable of delivering too much power to power hungry devices, but that should not be a problem with this shifter, since it takes only about 3V, 0.2-0.5A, but i will still double check with someone if that is true.
@@aaryaanali969 ok, purchased it, works perfectly fine with an RS232. i even tested a VGA adapter and it worked through even that one, but it was extremely unresponsive and i couldnt shift into reverse. so, go ahead, buy the RS232, it works with it
As long as Windows shows your shifter working in the Game Controller Settings, it should work in most PC games. It worked in iRacing, AC, PC2, and RaceRoom for me.

Because you just spent 1500 in a DD and you want to a wait a little bit before spending more on a nice shiftier ! That was exactly my case, I used my G27 mod pedals and shiftier after I got my direct drive wheel. I did not spend 30 bucks as I made a DIY board but, I guess that could be a reason.

I have this adapter / interface to my old G27 shifter, and it's great! Plug and play, and all the functions and buttons on the shifter works. :)

No. The Bodnar unit has a USB conversion board in the housing that is needed to make it work.
