      It’s a nah for me. The location is beautiful and green. The house is like a box on top of a box. Why don’t designers ever get creative is my question? They could of build like a castle tower with so much detail or something . Like in my mind I’m envisioning a two story castle tower made of grey to dark stone. The interior would have a small living room yet tall ceiling and bathroom with spiraling stairs going up to the room which would have a great view. Both the interior and exterior would look very nice then I f feeling a bit more bold add a balcony on the very top. Houses like these is why Europe is still the best in terms of architecture.

    I absolutely love the design of this house and would quite happily live in it. The only thing I would change would be to swap out the big oven and replace it with an air cooker and plug in induction rings. That way you could have more counter top and cupboard space. I think conventional ovens are becoming old technology as air cookers are much smaller,energy efficient and suitable for a single person,couple. 🙂

      This is one of the best tiny home layouts I have ever seen and has the headroom in the loft many tiny homes lack. I would replace the dresser with a floor to ceiling (or at least 7 feet tall) wardrobe for clothing. You would still have the open space on the surrounding sides for light and maintain an open feeling. This would solve a lack of housing issues, especially if built staggered on a terraced hill. Very nice!

And enclosing the area at the foot of the bed with a small cabinet would be an option for more clothes storage too. Or incorporating a storage headboard. Also it looks like there would be plenty of extra storage space in the bathroom for clothes too which is where I prefer clothes storage where you can change after showering and where the laundry machine/s are anyway. There are lots of ways to sneak in storage in the wasted spaces ;) You did a nice job.

    Nice Tiny House design.
    Few things though.
    It would be better if you showed it in an urban setting on a tight site as no one would build such a tiny house in the middle of an open green space like you've shown. If you had all that space to play with, you would build a much bigger house.
    Also bedroom has no hanging space for clothes. Could you possibly show a wardrobe on the wall at the top of the stairs. Most people need some hanging space to avoid creased suits/dresses.
    If I were designing that house I would show a built in Murphy type bed which could be folded up during the day. That way occupants could access the bed from both sides when bed is in use as opposed to climbing over each other to get in and out of the bed.
    Also it would free up floor space during the day if you wanted to do Yoga or exercise in the space making it more multifunctional.
    Hope these suggestions are helpful.

    • @greyscalesx
      @greyscalesx 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Ppl don't always build smaller houses bc they don't have the space. But bc they don't have the budget or want to live a minimalist life.
      You're being narrow-minded by seeing things on a perspective based only on your needs or what you would do.
      Plenty of ppl can buy a bigger plot.
      If not in a city it's pretty cheap and some choose to build small on a bigger plot bc they enjoy nature and a low waste life.
      Many do.
      Also sometimes ppl invest in the plot, build small, knowing when then later have the finances again, they'll be able to add on.
      But in the meantime you have functional house.
      However you are right on one thing.
      If someone would choose this plot, they would never waste so much space inside the house.
      That terrace for example is pretty ridiculous.
      Just made the bedroom smaller, when you already have an outdoors.
      Could have been a dressing or a an office corner.
      Or even a bathroom and use the space bathroom below as an office space.

      I thought having a big lot for this tiny house was more about being visually appealing plus focusing on the tiny house. If it was shown on a tiny lot with a city around it that would be distracting IMO.
      I like the Murphy bed idea a lot. It makes the most sense for tiny homes. Some have a pull down desk when the bed is folded up against the wall. Maximize space.
      Storage of clothes would be an issue but I would think if someone wanted to live in one of these long term they would def have to minimize their amount of clothes.
      I want a big piece of land - at least an acre - and a "passive haus" type home of 1,000 to 1,500 square feet. There will be a HUGE outdoor patio & deck space. 1k - 1.5k isn't a "tiny" house. Being outside a lot is a big part of tiny or small home living, right?

    This micro house had me staring back hard, it might be teeny tiny but it packs a good punch, I did not feel robbed, lol.
    Great idea, great execution, great house, acgreat accomplishment period!
    I loved the staircase guard that allows you to feel you are in separate places but not feel crushed.
    All the furniture keeping the same design & color allowed to move smoothly from one place to another & added a "superficial stretching" of the room.
    The refrigerator also draws your eyes up which again tricks you into feeling you are in a much larger space than you really are.
    I of course would of added tons of plants throughout to make the room come alive as well as adding tons of shelfs to elevate the eyes easily up the walls as they admire all my books and arts.
    Plus again, me being me I of course visualize myself in the micro home & ask myself what it would take to live there?
    Well easy answer, restrooms on both levels, extend the balcony, add a deck on the side or back of the bottom entrance with of course french doors which always makes anything feel bigger.
    Anyways L❤VE your design! This would be a great granny retreat, art & crafts building or an office as well or an amazing glammed up "she shed."
    Either way there's so many great possibilities for your design. Thank you for sharing this with us.

I adore, that this small house even have a balcony for warm springtime, summer and autumn (the “nice” sessions are here in Germany March/April - Sept/Oct, where you can sit outside). My only problem would be not enough space for my books (ca. 10.000) and my plant collection (ca. 300-400), but for living for me would be enough! And I would only change the roof into glas for more light and for my plants + biiiig windowsills, and some more solid wood (the floors).

      Ha, in my country in some places in the middle of the wild nature the maximum you are allowed to build is a 215 sq. f. tiny house if at all. Though, I think this 700 sq. f minimum requirment for a normal house comes from the reason it has minimum required space for a small family of 3-5 people to function normally (3-4 bedrooms each with minimum size (by law) of 65 - 100 sq.f.). And the rest of the 270 sq. f. for a kitchen, bathroom, wardrobe and storage space (65 sq. f. each) is not much space at all. Even for families who like to live modestly.

      Yes, up to a certain point. Tiny homes go far beyond that to where "less costs more".

    I got a 3 bedroom condo.
    I lived in my big walk in closet for like 6 months. It was so much easier to keep warm in there. My heater is trash so I bought a little electric heater and moved into the closet. I had my TV in there, my Playstation.. Blankets, pillows, sleeping bag.. It wasn't bad.

    Most brilliant design out there, you can take that shell and go smaller,, or way bigger and expand the house,, best use of square footage that there is,, well done 👏

    more of these homes need to be built in cities. They would be more affordable (due to the little space it takes up), is efficient use of the space, and is suitable for the needs of a couple and maybe even one child.

    • @zhmw
      @zhmw 5 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      It's not suitable for young children due to stairs, loft and balcony. And there's no room for an older child. It's suitable for one adult or a couple's romantic weekend getaway. A good floor plan for a single person.

    • @shepherdboy9692
      @shepherdboy9692 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      "Functional" ??? For who? Are you kidding? This is a completely NON-functional space. There is literally no place to take off boots/shoes... hang a coat. You've got 2 feet of total counterspace and a single sink, so once your dishpan is sitting there... where do you even chop an onion? Or put a microwave... or blender.. or a can of beans? Ridiculous. I'm all for ecology and living simply.... but small footprints and small homes have to respect the BASIC realities of BASIC living from day to day.
