My stock E90 335i will burp some exhaust when downshifting into 1st gear at slow speeds. It will especially do it if you are rolling slightly downhill. I heard it happen in 2nd gear, but much more faint. Gotta love these 3L inline 6 :D
@@trikie7821 like barely tap it . then release. This worked perfect when I had a resonator delete. But since I put it back on no more baby pops unless I downshift.

Whenever modding turbo exhaust keep the bends in the pipes. Turbo cars need low backpressure after the turbo and they also need the bends to help with exhaust scavenging. A straight pipe is not ideal for turbo cars. You can take off mufflers and cats but keep the bends and I recommend keeping the resonators.
Back in my youth, we all wanted to build “sleepers”. Todays petrol-heads are doing the exact opposite of that. Not my thing, at all, and I’m kinda curious what kind of cars these dude’s kids will be into.
I have a 340, it will not sound as good like your M4 but I have an m sport exhaust on mine, can I do what you’re doing without harming my cat converter? I can’t seem to get pops when I’m driving on the highway 20-50 mph. I get them when I’m stationary. Can I do this without a tune?
My roommate and I just installed charge pipes, intake and a catless downpipe on his 2016 340i. We tuned it with bootmod3 and its popping like this, those crackle pops. He doesn't have the M exhaust but has the oem single single on each side. . We messed with the aggressive tone, we didn't hear it without a tune thou. But apart, try getting a downpipe, upgrade the pipes too since they tend to brake, plastic.
@@GeckoDays I plan to get the new M4 convertible once I’m able to order so in the mean time will getting a downpipe be good enough. Anything else I need to have with the Downpipe. How about the cat converter? I just leave it there right? Thanks
We installed VRSF catless, will sound good, recommend upgrading charge pipes and turbo inlet to secure it. I have Wagner catless downpipe and hot/cold charge pipes on my 4 series w m performance exhaust and it roars. You'll be able to hear more turbo spool and overall will hear the engine use its power, bootmod3 to really see and notice the power, stage 2 w downpipe, and air intake pushing around 470 wheel. You'll be able to smell the gas from the catless, on stops and or idling. Overall easy job to do if you have 1 more person to help with installation, hard hiccup are the dismounting of the mid-pipe and the downpipe. Took a while to wiggle it out of place but theres also alternatives to make it easier, self job w 1 person to help and jacks and or lift. Apart from that brother you'll be set w a new feel. I can send you vids of the car before and after from way before anything got installed. Long explanation but prefer that then to half ass short answer it.
@@Progamer8012 No need for resonator delete unless you want it to be louder and a "straight pipe" until your exhaust. M4 will go crazy, best of luck w that, Im trying to get a S55 version but hella expensive for what they are in Az

I have an E92 M3 with an ESS S/C yielding around 615hp. It doesn't burble but sounds glorious. Why would you risk your engine exploding to the tune of a $20k replacement? I might consider a slight...slight burble tune like a Ferrari 458 or Lambo. But the flat out obnoxious engine explosions is absurd. Have fun though...
