    I’m hoping lamb broth would also be okay bc we raise them and not chickens and I don’t trust anyone else’s meat these days. 😬

    Thank you so much for doing this series! My fourth baby just turned 4 months and wasn't able to nurse, so this is a timely video. Our family has been on and off GAPS for about 1.5 years due to various life circumstances, but it has been the most fascinating experiment on ourselves. Thankful to be able to start #4 from the start. Hopefully we'll all be able to get back to Intro here soon.
    I know you frequently mention video suggestions and I thought of one that I wanted to share. GAPS and coffee. I'm sure it's more ideal to not have coffee at all, but I know Dr. Natasha mentions she drinks it herself in the yellow book. I know I tend towards constipation, but a single cup of coffee in the morning helps so much. I would prefer to do coffee enemas whenever things slow down, but with a busy house of 6 it's hard to fit it in more than once a week. I'd love to hear your thoughts. Thanks!

      Thank you so much! I love that, calling it a fascinating experiment on ourselves! That's an awesome perspective. That's a great video suggestion, I will add it to my list, thank you!

    Hi Marisa,
    I love your channel!
    To the advice on exposing a small amount of new food to the skin before oral intake, there is actually some research to suggest that exposure of food to the skin first can actually increase the likelihood of allergic reaction upon oral intake. I was surprised to hear this but it seems to be particularly true with nuts. People were trying to reduce nut allergies by exposing babies' skin to things like peanut oil, but this actually enhanced the chance of allergy - woops!
    Thank you for making the content that you do

      Thanks for sharing! Dr. Natasha's advice has worked very well for us, so we'll continue to follow what she says to do.

    I loved seeing your boys playing with your baby and surprised at his size as I’m rubbish at judging children’s ages! Any alternative suggestions/references for prevention of whooping cough besides injections?

    Do you know why Dr. Natasha suggests introducing juicing right away? Over just cooked vegetables in meat stock?

      She includes juicing for the cleansing/detox and nutrient properties :)

    How would you recommend starting a 9 month old baby on GAPS who has already started solids. He does have an egg allergy. I am ready to start GAPS for both of us but am very overwhelmed.Really need help! I don't want him to loose weight as he is already small.

    Hello and I want to start by saying I LOVE your channel! My son is 4 months old and is exclusively breastfed. He already weighs 18.5 lbs so I'm wondering if he would be ready to start gaps at 5 months or just keep breastfeeding until 6 months

    • @BumblebeeApothecary
      @BumblebeeApothecary  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Thank you! I would go by what you feel is best, and how hungry he seems. If he's still happy with just nursing at 5 months, I'd wait until 6, but go with your mom intuition :)

    My baby just started solid 3 days ago with rice porridge (rice carrot egg bone broth) but she doesn’t seem happy and not poop yet for 4 days😢 And i start gaps baby now she’s 6mo 4 days. Instead of meat stock, i gave her bone broth (chicken feet, carrot, onion and garlic). Do you think it’s okay for her? And should i give her meat stock instead of bone broth?

    Wow, new concept to me feeding babies before one year; are you feeding him the natural fat in the broth? How much weight has he gained in 6 months? Thanks, Julie 🌷

    • @BumblebeeApothecary
      @BumblebeeApothecary  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes, he gets the fat in the broth, and I'm not sure about the weight, I need to find out soon!

    Hey Marissa,
    Can you help me figure out how to introduce GAPS to my baby who's been on the Nourishing Traditions homemade baby formula her whole life? For instance if we're doing the Liver Formula, which is meat stock for the base instead of raw milk, do I still need to introduce a couple teaspoons of meat stock by itself for the first week? Can you ask Dr. Natasha about this?

    • @BumblebeeApothecary
      @BumblebeeApothecary  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Great question! I would consider meat stock already introduced, and I don't think you'd need to start with a couple of teaspoons of straight meat stock. I'd move ahead to the next steps :)

    Can you freeze fresh juiced carrot without it loosing any nutrition or changing the quality of it?

    • @BumblebeeApothecary

    Hi :) im not sure what kind of chicken i should buy? I did find farmers who sell organic chicken online , they say chicken can eat what they want outside but they also fed them chicken feed and that includes 18% organic wheat and 8% soya also other vitamins.
    Is that okay?thanks

    • @BumblebeeApothecary
      @BumblebeeApothecary  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      If that's the best you can get, it should be fine! I like to look for free range chickens out on pasture, preferably not fed corn and soy, but that's hard to find (and why we raise our own). If I have to buy chicken I use something similar to what you described :)

    Is it possible to follow WAPF and GAPS at the same time? We also always wait until 6 months (because of the virgin gut)..

    • @BumblebeeApothecary
      @BumblebeeApothecary  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      WAPF is basically GAPS plus starches, more complex sweeteners, and properly prepared grains. I wait to add those extra WAPF foods until they are ready, and past the crucial development milestones where pathogenic gut flora can lead to missing crucial windows for developments :)
