Oh Lord, this brings back memories. Mine broke while mowing on my JD LX 277. I had no clue how a new one went back on. I was not a happy camper, there were words coming out of my mouth that I have never heard before.

Nice video man. Every time I have to get under one of my mowers I think about this old mower we had for the first 20 years of my life. It had feet on the back so you could lift the front and stand the mower up vertically on those feet and it would be so easy to work under. I wish they still made them that way, they probably think it’s too dangerous though.

@@murkywaters7185 You ‘d think so but it was an MTD Lawn flite lawn tractor, the feet looked kind of like the ones on a Snapper. It rested on the back wheels and the feet. I would have thought it would’ve been too unstable with the motor in front but we’d stand it up in the yard to work on and it was really sturdy.
Thanks for the vid. My JD 135 has a belt guide and a plastic fan over the transmission. You have to remove/loosen that belt guide and carefully slip the belt over the plastic fan without breaking any of the fins. Without a lift of some kind, it’s a bitch trying to lay a wrench on that belt guide, lol 👍👍

Had to change the drive belt on a John Deere 160. Had to remove a clutch bracket, a tie rod end and the electric PTO to change the belt. Had to learn this by trial and error when the belt was slipping so bad that it wouldn't pull itself

How to install a drive belt on a G100 John deere mower
How do you get the drive belt on an MTD when ya can't remove the engine pulley to get the belt off, the belt guides are part of the chassis?
Heat and bend the tabs
Man I. Have a poulan this didn't help a bit seems no one has parts or service manual for a poulan
Poulan is the same as a Husquvarna, and craftsman those should have repair manuals
