Personally I would count Ice Queen Pea and Snow Pea as different Peashooters. Ice Queen Pea in PvZ A served pretty much the same purpose as Repeater in most other games, that being, simply existing as a stronger version of Peashooter... Except for Snow Pea. I think that the strongest argument here however is that Snow Pea did actually appear in PvZ A, not only that but Snow Pea is male, while Snow *Queen Pea would obviously be female.
I understand where you’re coming from. I really just didn’t feel like it counted because if I didn’t count Mega Gatling, then I wasn’t gonna count Ice Queen. Though with what you said, maybe I should have counted it
Should've included Backwards Repeater (or Leftpeater, Reverse Repeater, Flipeater, whatever you wanna call it) in the first game, it's still different from Repeater and basically functions exactly like Split-Pea's other half, it's still essential in Vasebreaker so it still needs to be included. @@AbyssalPrincess0 I don't think so, Most Zen Garden plants aren't necessary for gameplay, just for collecting money, however, Reverse Repeater is used in Vasebreaker, so it makes more sense to include it in the list.

Sure it shoots peas. but it only does so for a second and then after that it boosts plants while a regular peashooter constantly shoots peas without giving out buffs. Great video btw!
I (from the lore) wouldn’t call it a clone but instead different species or breeds of peashooter. Like how there’s tons of different dogs like a poodle and a chihuahua and a husky. The peashooters have different looking and acting creatures that all fall under the peashooter family. And just to make it clear, no I am not saying you’re wrong for calling it clones and I’m not complaining about it. I’m just saying from a lore standpoint that could be how it works. Just a fun little thought
I would have to argue that appeasemint is a mint, not a pea. This is because not all peas are counted as peas but all mints are counted as mints. Appeasemint is a pea version of a mint not a mint version of a pea and shouldn't be labled as such. The enhancemint family has its own variations that are associated with the families of plants from PvZ 2. Of the families of plants in PvZ 2 the pea family includes plants that were not considered "pea shooters" but are still included such as red snapper. Based off the information this does not make appeasemint a pea it makes them a "Pea enhancing mint". I hope this explains the difference between peas and mints. Dont even get me started on chocolates and mints, rinsing or filling machines, or Dinosaurs and toys.

Cactus in pvz1 was also just a peashooter clone. It fired a projectile that was visually different from a pea but acted the exact same way, and the only other difference is that it could hit balloon zombies, so I'd count it
Also, you could theoretically count guacodile too, as it is essentially just a slower-firing peashooter with a rushdown. A bit more of a stretch but still arguably a peashooter clone

9:22 As someone who plays PvZ Heroes, I must disagree with your assesment on the imitator in this game specifically. It's not like in PvZ 1 where the imitator transformed cards look differently or like in PvZ 2 and also PvZ 1 have different properties (the short stall before it transforms), in PvZ Heroes imitator *literally* transforms into the card. If the peashooter gets bounced back into your hand by your opponent via the use of the Backyard Bounce card for example, you literally gain the actual card and not some kind of different card. Either that or you'd have to count every single way a card can become a peashooter, like via Seedling, Transfiguration, Petal-morphosis, ect. Either none of them should count or all of them should count, thus I disagree on just the imitator versions counting for the list. I quite enjoyed the video tho, it was most certainly a handy guide on all the varations. Good video!

My total points is exactly like you but I include Mega Gatling Pea as a separate plant and not a clone of the original Gatling Pea from PvZ 1 so my total is 32. The reason is because in PvZ 2 Chinese version there's actually the original Gatling Pea and also Mega Gatling Pea, meaning there are other sources that MGP and Gatling Pea are different plants.
Imo a peashooter clone is a plant that functionally works like a peashooter or one that's kind of a peashooter with some small extra steps. In pvz 1 for example i would count scadery, cactus and cabbage pult as peashooter clones
Some plants forgotten/should count. - Mega Gatling (Has a separate ability) - Ice Queen Pea (Isn't the same as snow pea because it shoots two peas instead of 1) - Heat Wave Pea shooters (Come from level 3-5 of the DS version of PVZ1, they're pea shooters that can move around and occasionally get an attack speed buff) - Podfighter (does actually shoot peas and are peas inside just with a costume so idk what you were high on) - Zombotany Peashooter/repeater/gatling (self explanatory) - Clique Pea (Although not a *green* pea, is based on chickpeas which should count - Pea Patch (Also shoots peas and has peas in it so should count) - Heavy Weapon Peashooter (A Peashooter from the mini game heavy weapon in PvZ Console edition that you could move around with a lawn mover and was upgradeable) So my personal score is 41 Edit: Technically the PVZ: Journey to the West Edition is an official PVZ game because there a QR code download on the PVZ Adriod TV edition so those plant might count I haven't looked into it though
My total is 43. I counted Mega Gatling, the BFN costumes, and honestly I consider the GW peashooters to be like a mutation of a regular peashooter, so I counted all variants including base. The potted GW plants dont count besides Canon
Great video! It was entertaining throughout. However, I feel that a few were missed. I say there are 57 peashooters. (Peashooter, snow Pea, repeater, threepeater, split pea, the grey imitations of the previous five, gatling pea, peashooter zombie, Gatling pea zombie, pea pod, peanut, fire peashooter, primal peashooter, electric peashooter, shadow peashooter, goo peashooter, sling pea, snap pea, mega gatling pea, pea vine, beeshooter, sweet pea, ice queen peashooter, flaming peashooter, peashooter [GW], fire pea, ice pea, toxic pea, commando pea, agent pea, law pea, plasma pea, berry shooter, pea cannon, ice peashooter, pea repeater, peawitched cannon, fire peashooter [GW], electro pea, rock pea, Green Shadow, threenut, skyshooter, podfather, cosmic pea, peashooter [BfN], azure pea, sea pea, sappy pea, pea of valiance, future crop, highly decorated crop, chick pea).
Damn, counting all the gardenwarfare variants too. Imagine all the selective breeding they had to do to get all those pea types. But for real, too many, might as well make the peashooter the face of pvz at this point.
Mega Gatling Pea is different enough to be considered a separate plant because the closest plant to Gatling pea is the gatling pea from the Chinese Version of PVZ2 because 1 Mega Gatling Pea can plant food at random and 2 after using a plant food at least once it shoots 5 peas rather than 4 making it different enough to be separate.
That’s completely understandable, but considering how the green total already counted potted plants from the shooter games… I figured Imitated Plants were fair game for that ranking
According to your own rules, scrapped content and cancelled and such don't count. As of the time of release of the video, Plants vs Zombies 3 is still getting soft release and isn't the final version, therefor anything we see can be scrapped and removed from the final version, or the game could end up being cancelled. So you have even more reasons to not count it
You forgot that there are exclusive peashooters in the arcade game, PvZ The Last Stand. There’s a Spike Peashooter, Yellow Threepeater, Exploding Peashooter, and a Thunder Peashooter
Personally gonna add IQP and MGP as a seperate plant, because it just looks cool. And Remove the peanut because it didnt felt like a "peashooting" plants even tho it shoots literally peas
I think since Mega Gatling and Gatling function very differently (the burst amount+speed+spread and the random food ability) they should be separate but otherwise I agree with the way you're counting. I think its like comparing Cob Cannon to Banana Launcher imo. While *technically* correct to say one is the other they're wildly different in the execution of what they do and how they do it.
Hmm... there's no point for looking for Yokai in this situation... Why do you think everything is Yokai's Fault!?!? **gets proof that it was indeed Yokai**
I actually did this before I knew the video existed, and I had a few different rules, such as: Chinese games counted Every appearence was accounted for Anything in the Pea tribe in Heroes was considered a peashooter. This brought my total to a whopping 140 (higher, because I lost the list and forgot other games' imitaters), for those who like big numbers
personally, i would say 36. i agree more with the red number but i wouldnt personally count appease-mint as a pea plant maybe more like a distant cousin than a direct descendant?
you missed the threepeater in a pot and gatling pea in a pot from that one minigame on the ds, you missed all of the zombotany peashooters, you missed the peashooter that overheats (also from the ds port)
I decided not to count the zombotany zombies, as they are more “zombie” than “plant”. But as for the others, I did not even know they existed. Interesting!
I decided not to count any NPCs here, as they aren’t clone as much as they are characters in of themselves. As for the potted plants, they are essentially the same as they are in GW1 and GW2, so I decided against counting those too. Though, an argument can 100% be made for them

Some plants forgotten/should count.
- Mega Gatling (Has a separate ability)
- Ice Queen Pea (Isn't the same as snow pea because it shoots two peas instead of 1)
- Heat Wave Pea shooters (Come from level 3-5 of the DS version of PVZ1, they're pea shooters that can move around and occasionally get an attack speed buff)
- Podfighter (does actually shoot peas and are peas inside just with a costume so idk what you were high on)
- Zombotany Peashooter/repeater/gatling (self explanatory)
- Clique Pea (Although not a *green* pea, is based on chickpeas which should count
- Pea Patch (Also shoots peas and has peas in it so should count)
- Heavy Weapon Peashooter (A Peashooter from the mini game heavy weapon in PvZ Console edition that you could move around with a lawn mover and was upgradeable)
So my personal score is 41
Edit: Technically the PVZ: Journey to the West Edition is an official PVZ game because there a QR code download on the PVZ Adriod TV edition so those plant might count I haven't looked into it though
i like how in the middle of this video an ad showed Adult man playing with Legos, Finally they went for something realistic
My total is 43. I counted Mega Gatling, the BFN costumes, and honestly I consider the GW peashooters to be like a mutation of a regular peashooter, so I counted all variants including base. The potted GW plants dont count besides Canon
Devs: how much peashooter we should create?
EA: yes
2:08 Thank GOD that Peashooter didn't make it into the game
Dude when you put that comic book on screen I had so much nostalgia flood back.
Now he should find out every flower in the PvZ games. From Roses to Sunflowers. If it’s a flower, it counts
Great video! It was entertaining throughout. However, I feel that a few were missed.
I say there are 57 peashooters.
(Peashooter, snow Pea, repeater, threepeater, split pea, the grey imitations of the previous five, gatling pea, peashooter zombie, Gatling pea zombie, pea pod, peanut, fire peashooter, primal peashooter, electric peashooter, shadow peashooter, goo peashooter, sling pea, snap pea, mega gatling pea, pea vine, beeshooter, sweet pea, ice queen peashooter, flaming peashooter, peashooter [GW], fire pea, ice pea, toxic pea, commando pea, agent pea, law pea, plasma pea, berry shooter, pea cannon, ice peashooter, pea repeater, peawitched cannon, fire peashooter [GW], electro pea, rock pea, Green Shadow, threenut, skyshooter, podfather, cosmic pea, peashooter [BfN], azure pea, sea pea, sappy pea, pea of valiance, future crop, highly decorated crop, chick pea).
Shows how much the mascot of a series gets.
Damn, counting all the gardenwarfare variants too. Imagine all the selective breeding they had to do to get all those pea types.
But for real, too many, might as well make the peashooter the face of pvz at this point.
Pvz goin' on pokémon vibes bruh
I would count the Steamed Peashooter from the PvZ DS minigame as another type.
If you wanna have even more chaos, clone implies a copy meaning that every pea shooter or variant that showed up in this video gets counted
The clones are adorable bruh
Mega Gatling Pea is different enough to be considered a separate plant because the closest plant to Gatling pea is the gatling pea from the Chinese Version of PVZ2 because 1 Mega Gatling Pea can plant food at random and 2 after using a plant food at least once it shoots 5 peas rather than 4 making it different enough to be separate.
Peanut is a pea...nut. It's literally a clone of a pea and a nut. A nutty pea if you will. Peanut.
I wouldn't have counted imitater for anything past pvz 1 because after that they become indistinguishable from there normal counter parts.
That’s completely understandable, but considering how the green total already counted potted plants from the shooter games… I figured Imitated Plants were fair game for that ranking
How could I ever forget my beloved pvz adventures??
Someone at Popcap must REALLY love eating peas.
The list would be longer if every Pea plant in Heroes was accounted for.
According to your own rules, scrapped content and cancelled and such don't count. As of the time of release of the video, Plants vs Zombies 3 is still getting soft release and isn't the final version, therefor anything we see can be scrapped and removed from the final version, or the game could end up being cancelled. So you have even more reasons to not count it
How does this man only have 900 views, also I love your editing
You forgot that there are exclusive peashooters in the arcade game, PvZ The Last Stand.
There’s a Spike Peashooter, Yellow Threepeater, Exploding Peashooter, and a Thunder Peashooter
XavierYSI: let's count all the peashooter type in the whole franchise, what could possibly go wrong?
PvZ franchise: Pea-ce was never an option.
there isnt enough, I NEED MORE PEASHOOTERS
4:35 i think it was confirmed somewhere that the walk-around plants are different species from the normal ground plants
You could add the zombie peashooters from the first game unless you're not counting it
I think they should add the peashooter peashooter peashooter, is a peashooter that has another peashooter that uses peashooters, very original idea
That just pea pod but different
@@bluefurrymanthat's the joke lol
@@deleted-something ok
Personally gonna add IQP and MGP as a seperate plant, because it just looks cool.
And Remove the peanut because it didnt felt like a "peashooting" plants even tho it shoots literally peas
I think since Mega Gatling and Gatling function very differently (the burst amount+speed+spread and the random food ability) they should be separate but otherwise I agree with the way you're counting.
I think its like comparing Cob Cannon to Banana Launcher imo. While *technically* correct to say one is the other they're wildly different in the execution of what they do and how they do it.
I wish they would be a bit more original with plants than just reskinning peashooter
He's like the Jibanyan of PVZ.
Hmm... there's no point for looking for Yokai in this situation... Why do you think everything is Yokai's Fault!?!? **gets proof that it was indeed Yokai**
I actually did this before I knew the video existed, and I had a few different rules, such as:
Chinese games counted
Every appearence was accounted for
Anything in the Pea tribe in Heroes was considered a peashooter.
This brought my total to a whopping 140 (higher, because I lost the list and forgot other games' imitaters), for those who like big numbers
Idk if it counts but gw2 has a Christmas event elf potted peashooter
Also in my opinion asparagus looks a lot like a pea shooter
personally, i would say 36. i agree more with the red number but i wouldnt personally count appease-mint as a pea plant maybe more like a distant cousin than a direct descendant?
there are also technically seasonal pots in gw2 where the peashooter has a haloween costume
you missed the threepeater in a pot and gatling pea in a pot from that one minigame on the ds, you missed all of the zombotany peashooters, you missed the peashooter that overheats (also from the ds port)
I decided not to count the zombotany zombies, as they are more “zombie” than “plant”. But as for the others, I did not even know they existed. Interesting!
Doesnt pvz 3 bring baby pea shooters? They arent playable but are a part of the story
As a suggestion you should try all the catapult plants
Never heard of The PodFather but that's hilarious
The Peashooting fighting never really ends
i had this mandela effect where i thought Peanut was in the original pvz1 game at one point, pretty weird
1 Thing I want to say, i count a glitch that allows you to imitate the imitater into a gatling pea, it only works on the Android version of PVZ1.
When you have a LOT of free time.:
(Btw, great vid)
What's the song at 10:15? I know I have heard it before, but I don't know where.
Tomodachi Life - Rankings Board (Pampered Ranking)!
@@SylviaYSI OH. Thank you!
Forgot Adventures existed? I was worried you forgot it because you put it after PvZ2!
Yeah, I had messed up a bit there
@@SylviaYSI it’s alright, it’s cause it came out before 2
He forgot the special pea shooter that spawns in GW2 that drops a ton of gold when killed.
Forgot the Bfn potted plants for the green total-
And maybe the npcs from the campaigns-
I decided not to count any NPCs here, as they aren’t clone as much as they are characters in of themselves.
As for the potted plants, they are essentially the same as they are in GW1 and GW2, so I decided against counting those too. Though, an argument can 100% be made for them
Player: there's normal pea, snow pea, double pea, triple pea, WW3 pea and twin pea, fire pea, 5 lane pea, quintuple pea, eletrik pea, shadow pea, poison pea, chomper pea, mint pea, n u t, caveman pea and vine pea
Ea: THAT'S NOT ENOUGH
Green could be more if you count Console Editions different
I wouldn't count the imitater and appease mint but besides that, the green is what Id go with
