Great video coverage. You folks get a storm you get very high winds blowing all your good earth to somewhere else. You just have to have a whole different out look on farming (WOW)
From a 5k chopper to a 7k is a 30 year leap in tech and efficiency! The pushing tractor has to keep going on the pile, regardless of if there's a new load. That's a cool feature on the Kubota, I am sure you are glad you found it!😂 Great video, and good to see y'all having the kids with you.
My grandmother lived in kansas during the big big big wind storm that whenever had to move and she moved to california because of it and she was like nine
Well,,, Not necessarily slower ground speed, but slower on the feed rollers to the cutting knives, yes you do want that chopped as fine as possible for the best possible feed value/rumination.
Bless your families and glad you're all safe. Hopefully you will get some needed rain without the wind.
Your cattle are looking nice & filled out
Thanks for sharing.
Good luck with the new chopper.
Kansas - "Dust in the Wind" - the guys knew what they were singing about.

Congrats on the new to you John Deere chopper!! Hopefully it works well for your operation. 👍🏻🇺🇸🇺🇸
Much more efficient and quicker machine, Petersons! I see sometimes you get a dust storm just before it rains! Fun times cutting silage and corn!
Right on my favorite youtube channel to watch..farm on!!!!!!!!
Hello.. been a little bit since I seen a video.. the family has gotten so big.. congratulations.
Great ! I wish my hometown had machines like that.
Choppin that corn for the yummy cattle. Bless you guys and your family.
Looks like a Blast furnace out there!! Looks like you’re in 2x video speed in that new chopper! Thanks!!
It's been hot and dry here in Kentucky too, y'all are doing a great job! Please be safe and be careful!!

That new chopper makes quick work of that corn, never been around one before. Looks great.
It's crazy that you have to endure such storms to get some rain. Glad yall got some rain in the end.
I got to see you at the Box Butte Fair in Nebraska. My brother will be chopping 40 acres of dry land in few weeks and I doing the packing.
Great video guys. WOW that dust storm was horrible!!
hope that rain helped your crops and it did not come to late
Little too late or most of the corn but definitely a life saver for a lot of the other crops
That was quite a storm, the wind and the lightening were unreal.
Great video. thank you

Chop till you drop
W O W , That machine eating up 8 rows at that speed is tremendous, have you got any idea how many tons per hour it is doing ?
Kansas thunder storms in summer. No hail damage?

Is it kind of dangerous to be driving behind directly behind the Chopper? I understand that that’s how you got to do it but just wondering.
It's not a problem at all, and when opening up a field or sectioning it, it's the only way without driving over some of the crop.
Slower the better the chopping quality
