Harvesting Oats! The 2024 Grain Harvest Has Begun!

Today we are harvesting the Oats! We use the oats as a nurse crop to get our new seeding alfalfa started! An added benefit of that is getting to harvest the oats for grain. The combine doing the honors today is a John Deere 9770 STS. I got to say it does a great job picking up those down oats and separating all the other plant material from the oats.
