I recently bought an old tlr 22 and a new 22x4 loaded to the gills for 530 luv them both but.......only 2s and don't even think about going on grass or gravel or anything but a grommed surface still run it on my street with some small ramps ...I think this is what I've been looking for ✌️🙌
I still have my Typhon from a few years back (original typhon) and it’s still a blast to drive. Dirt, grass, street it is just fun. If you have the means get one and you will not regret it. And this thing flies when you jump it lol, get one if you can…
I’ve had my TLR for a couple months, done quite a quite a few upgrades and this l thing is a track monster! I use 4S 100-120c 4000mah and I run with everyone just fine. Need more practice at the track but I’ll be winning races soon!!! Awesome video!!!

It will be my first 1/8 scale electric competition buggy, even if it's not a kyosho or Xray high end buggy like my nitros, i still have big expectations to this car, looking at those specs it has, i believe it rocks on the track and even bashing this Typhon would be raw. I have the Typhon v5 and it takes a lot of beating only with 6061 alloy. I will switch out the steering servo and use my sanwa radio for this. How does it handle with the stock, servo and radio, pleased?
Yeah I just bought this car today and I only put a 4S battery in it for right now it's pretty quick I'm having to get used to electric though cuz I have a Mugen MBX-5 with a OS 21 on it and it's stupid fast so I already know this one ain't going to beat my nitro car with the 4S in it
The stock tires are good to go for General running. On a prep track they may do pretty good as well off-road they'll be good just to get you going out the box but if you're going to race I would recommend a different type of tire
@@JayTeeRC With extra weight, you'd still reach 20mph...it would just take longer. More weight would effect acceleration, braking & handling...love your vids!
@@rodneychalker715 no you wouldn't. Run as fast as you can down the street and clock your miles per hour. Then put 10-20 lb on your back and run again and see if you'll reach that same top speed. You won't. But it's fine if that's what you want to believe... that but it's not true.
@@JayTeeRC You got me there Jay Tee...but I'm not a car. Challenge! Perhaps you could experiment the theory on a video one day soon...just remember you'll need long a stretch of road & suspension that would cope with the extra weight to reach that top speed.

I just bought this car today. What 6s battery and charger do you recomend? I plan on just running on a dirt track, not competitive though.

The weight of the battery doesn't affect top speed.
So if you can run at a top speed of 20 mph and then I added another 10 lb to you, you don't think that's going to slow you down...weight is a factor
