There is a shortcut from the Artifact room that allows you to jump down into the main water room at the start. Very difficult to see but once you know where it is you can grapple up to the artifact skipping 90% of this cave!

the swampy water cave too has this if you can manage to grapple the right spot.

You sir are a god when it comes to this game. I have watched pretty much all of your videos on ARK. Including your solo base, and that epic 4 part war between one tribe and the spy. The action edited and unedited version. This is amazing
Once you're at the artifact if you go to the left of the "cave markings" there's a hole in the wall that will take you straight to the water, you can also go into the hole from the water if you use a grappling hook which is a lot faster and easier ;)

Spawn rates on my server are turned up, so when I took a peek into the Swamp Cave I was positively SWARMED by dozens of scorpions and spiders, and *thousands* of bugs!

yeah I had that, so many....I left with about 15k cementing past from my froggo at least....she ate well in there (plus like 10kish in Chitin as well)

My strategy for this cave is taking a high level dire wolf with lots of levels put into melee and health. The wolves have incredible knockback which doesn’t let the scorpions or spiders get many hits in, so long as you are never surrounded on all sides. And of course you want to take a compound bow just in case as well 😅
great walkthrough man! definitely prefer seeing people do them without having to spawn in full ascendant gear on single player mode! Sending tribemates over to check it out, and can't wait for the snow cave since it's 4x longer than this one!

I have now been properly inspired to so a cave again today.
With some levels in fortitude, you can use ghillie chestplate, a gas mask, and flak for the rest. I forgot about the artlopleura acid tho, and had to run out of the cave almost immediately when they broke almost everything I was wearing and almost killed my baryonyx. I didn’t know everything in there was such high level.

It toxic gas not heat. all you need is scuba mask and shirt. possibly gas mask instead. i havent tried it yet.

just wondering when it comes to the gear your wearing to stop the damage could it be just the Scooba chest u have on since your breathing fresh oxygen cause it could be poison air that is damaging you but idk just wondering :).
no ive tried every combo and this was the only one that stoped the damage

tried the swamp cave a few times got annoyed losing my stuff so
i did it naked with bug repellent and a journeyman pike mind wiped then only put points in to speed fortitude and stamina ran through the cave and died tried it 3 times 1 time i got to the artifact but died before i got it out was going to try it again tonight now i k'no the rout to take but your method seems easier
taking on the new snow cave was somewhat easy even if you have a partner. compound bows, missile launchers, shotguns and foods are very helpful. after you got all the way through, you can just speed run it.

Nice vid! i would not use a compound bow i Wood use a shotgun and some grappling hooks cause when you Come to The waterhole you can grapple into a little hole Therese you skip about 90% Of The cave..... and 1 question more, can you block The spawns of all The dinos??! sry for bad english
I like this strategy, but I feel that running all the way back to the water cave for the flies allows other mobs to spawn in the further caves

Would using recipes like callien soup, and laz chowder mean you could run it using more defensive armour? Also, does bug repellent cause bugs/insects to not aggro in you whatsoever, or only when they get attacked?
+TH-cam Comment Yer that should work if you use recipes, I think repellent just drives the bugs away from you
Why don't you use a sword on those meganeuras or at least a metalpike? I never tried, but it seems like you could use a high level tamed frog at the mushroom cave.
Can this be done without bug repellent still since leeches are now in that cave?
T is to insta transfer items, O is to insta drop items, F is to acces any type of inventory and E is to interact/ride with anything if this is possible. lachlan i love ur vids and i love ark but the combination of it is just not the best as u arent that experiences with it yet so maybe it would be a good idea to play with someone who knows ehat hes doing. Although ive got to admit that the progress uve made compared to ur first ark episode is amazing good luck on your journeys and keep up the great content!! btw. pls talk to nooblets(ANOTHER youtuber who plays ark and i really find his vids interesting and helpful!!)

Quick question, Last I knew the Compound bow was only good against players. Have they since upped the damage done to creatures? It would seem so by your video.

i go in this cave with a high level frog pumped in health and melee and its basically a cp farm with the bugs and chitin
Try doing a updated version but this time, use a Beelzebufo to kill the dragonflies
Gas mask + flak works best if you don’t have any of that all gillie works.

Of all of the video makers for ARK, I enjoy yours the most by 1000%. This one however, good, but, things have changed down there lately, and there are 'thousands' of manganeura and dozens and dozens of spiders and.....this 'cute' version is TOTALLY deceptive. I took a pair of frogs and a sabretooth the first time...dead, Second time I took a dozen dire wolves and a pair of sabres and aqua lung and lost all but one sabre and at least recovered my gear while the wolves wiped out a hundred manga's. I don't even believe I can do it solo. This is however my first cave, I came for cementing paste but only got about 100 yds down and I guess the frogs died and took the paste with them 'cuz it took a while to get an 'attack' team together to retrieve the bodies.
You can do that or just get a high lvl frog with a good saddle 1,000+ cementing paste and no ammo needed

4 of us attempted this cave and we got way more enemy's than this!
Took us more like an hour and a half and 100 arrows and 75 shotgun shells each to get to the bottom of this cave. the shotgun and compound bow are master craft too.
We play on difficulty 1.0 and have not messed with any of the damage or defense settings.
What are your server settings nooblets?
Use bug replent and grapping hooks now mate, its much faster

If you crouch meganeuras can't hit you as well, you can pike them down easily, then again this cave has more than those.

On my first time doing this cave I got so lucky only found three spiders and did this cave in 2 minutes

what does the artifact do... i know what the others do they summon the broodmother so does these two make it so the broodmother is harder to summon?

you can do it with fortitude of 30 and if you use Bug Repellant, dragon flys leave you alone and a pike is good on the dragon flys too. but i got to say i found this cave disapointing when it comes up against the snow cave .
So with 30 fortitude the poison doesn't hurt you?
+Wolfgang Biedermann I'm assuming he's talking about the heat Inside of the cave...you HAVE to wear the scuba and ghille armour to not take damage from the poison.

dimorph swarm is the way to go.. 20 (high level of course) of them on aggressive and you won't even have to fire a single shot...

So, I was just flying to red on to check stuff out, I saw a safe, so I threw a chance at the combo, 1258, and I made it fucking in. I found this artifact and 5 others.

Now I have no clue how to really get these or how rare they are, but it was really cool
K T brute is actually the hardest one to get so you are really lucky

+Signalace it's definitely possible with nothing but a frog, ive done it. Frog only came close to getting knocked out. other then that. the frog was fine.

well it is short but the ice cave is dangerous it even has yetis and lots of wolves and a few penguins and the icy water is full of anglers and millions of piranhas
The ice cave is the hardest game in the cave.., the minimum level for the mobs is 160

i accidental found the cave on the day the update came out not knowing about it so i went in and died to a yeti, i guess it really didn't want a hug

Why not just use the gasmask? That is why it is in the game, I keep it on at all times it makes me immune to

So is it possible to beat the cave without a gas mask or Underwater tank? On primitive mode no gas mask or rebreather is present, yet you HAVE to get the immune artifact to beat the bosses.
