    Island -> Scorched Earth -> Aberration -> Extinction -> Genisys 1 -> Genisys Part 2 -> Centre -> Ragnarok -> Valguero -> Crystal Isles -> Lost Island -> Fjordur. That's my plan for this Season 2 playlist.
    EDIT: With the release of Genesis 2 & upcoming Lost Island. I have updated the above list.
    EDIT: Added Fjordur(June 2022 release). Also Lost Island Release on Dec 2021.

    Bonus Otter Fact: The Otter has no limit (other then weight) for how many artifacts it can hold, allowing you to take more then one or even more then two artifact of the strong out of the cave per run (if you wait for it to respawns). 👍

      thank you! but how long does it take to respawn? (the artifact) and do I have to render out of if in order to respawn? like I go back a bit back and I wait?

    • @Arindam_Gaming
      @Arindam_Gaming  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@davenadeau8671 Hi. You don't need to go beyond render distance. Each Artifact has a respawn timer. The query you have is mostly due to SP/Non-Dedicated sessions where cave areas go into stasis(UE4 feature) if you go beyond a certain distance. For example: The Skylord Artifact on Island Cave had its respawn timer & distance thing fixed v recently by Wildcard, before which we had to disable hibernation(like my playthrough) on SP/Non-Dedi to get it to spawn.

    I want to play solo on official settings without the pain of PvE & PvP.
    This is singleplayer with all options configured for Official Difficulty. "Singleplayer settings" are disabled, "Maximum Difficulty" is ON. Just to be clear, movement speed of my 100% imprint Yuty is 120%, that is 20% above non-imprint. This is the Official setting.
    If anyone thinks otherwise, please comment the same with justification. If you are right, I will correct myself.

    I tried this with my daughter and a Yuti, problem is she rushed one way and I went the other got faced with a ton of bears, monkey men and wolves... we both died. When you do a cave like this and any cave its important not to rush forward to fast and try to agro them to come to you (break up the mobs)! Will try again tonight and hope I survive! Thank You. My Mic quality has improved from this video a lot. I set out making these videos since there's not one place where you can get a full 100% solo play guide that too without boosts or the SP settings.

    • @imchillyb
      @imchillyb 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@Arindam_Gaming I agree, most of the guides have increased rates, or are for single-player settings. Syntac and Phlingerphoo have decent soloing the ark series, but only their first series of videos is on official settings.
      I run a home-cluster for myself and some friends, and we have our rates at a permanent 3x boost. For the first year we used official settings. Players voted to increase the rates and we settled on 3x. Seems to be a good balance between time-sink and utility.
      I've enjoyed watching your videos. Thank you for sharing with the community.

      @@imchillyb I credit Philinger Phoo as my inspiration to start my unboosted Playthrough. Before I saw his videos, I used to think I cannot get through Ark without heavily boosted stats but observing his Season 4 videos gave me the necessary confidence. Syntac is a really cool & nice guy whom I watch occasionally since I like Solo plays.
      I think the 3x boost is a good balance. The devs had understood how grindy Ark was & so made QOL additions to later maps like Mining Drill etc to speed things up. Sharing my experience with the community was the 1 of 2 reasons I post these videos, the other being videos are my personal journal. Thank You for watching.

      Yes, thats possible but you still have to be careful of burrowed Purlovias (dismounting you when you get close)which only the Yuty can unborrow with the Fear roar. My yuty has 25k hp and 600% melee with prim saddle will that be enough or should I level a bit more

    • @Arindam_Gaming
      @Arindam_Gaming  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi, 600% melee is OK but I would worry about the Prim saddle. Hence, You should have
      a) enough HP in your Yuty to last a long time
      b) have a backup Yuty in your Cryopod if this Yuty gets damaged badly
      c) have a backup Daedon so that you can heal it. Of-course, in this cave you will get a supermarket's worth of raw meat for healing purposes.
      For you, key thing is that Yuty has excellent knockback which along with backwards strafing can allow you to kill cave critters without getting hit. The Polar Bear hit for truckloads of dmg & thats your main worry IMO.

      Thanks. I wanted to show something that can reliably & efficiently complete the cave. Yuty has stats similar to a Rex & is stronger than all but the very Best. I used the same technique for my Alpha Tek Cave runs(video in my channel) to un-mine Purlovias too.

      You don't need to raise your Yutys inside the cave. Simply use Cryopods. In-fact, after you are done with the cave, put your Yutys back into Cryo & dont leave them inside even in a walled area. This is because, when you return back, due to how areas & structures & dinos come back out of stasis, your Dinos might die.

    I know I’m a little late on commenting on these videos, but just wandered if I could get an answer for this question. What’s the loot quality multiplier set to or what would you recommend setting it to? Great video and a brilliant strategy here!

    • @Arindam_Gaming
      @Arindam_Gaming  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      To set the loot quality multiplier, there's 2 questions you need to ask yourself ?
      1. Do you want really high quality loot, which might speed up & make your journey a lot easier
      2. More importantly, will you be comfortable gathering materials for high quality BPs which with increased loot quality can need absurdly high resources count.
      The main reason for increased loot quality should be ease of getting ascendant gear.
      With that being said, my loot quality was 3x from Island-Extinction. From Gen1 onwards, I've set it to 2x since some of the costs were really too high.

    • @Arindam_Gaming
      @Arindam_Gaming  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Glad you appreciate it. Setting loot quality anywhere upto 3x is OK beyond that crafting costs become absurdly high. On the older maps, 3x is ideal otherwise you'll have to rely too much on Deep Sea loot drops which are rare. From Extinction onwards, quality can be set to 2x since Red/Purple OSDs give v good loot & so does Genesis missions.

    • @Bobasaurus2
      @Bobasaurus2 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Arindam_Gaming Thank you for the quick reply on this one! I've been trying to find a happy medium with the loot quality multiplier for a while now considering the default when I started playing single player was set to 5 so every BP I got was like 2000 metal even just for a simple pistol. I think 3 will be fine for good loot and affordability so again thank you for the answer!😀

    • @Arindam_Gaming
      @Arindam_Gaming  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Thank you. I had the same feeling. People mostly think of Yuty for their Utility Roars but not as a Main Combat Dino. But the Yuty is the most powerful Dino you can use in this cave short of a Megalosaur at night or a Therizinosaur. I always loved how versatile the Yuty is. It's the solution to burrowed Purlovias.

    • @AdamGamingARK
      @AdamGamingARK 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      When I did this cave I used 2 mutated therizino, with sp settings off. They were super mutated so one would have been more than enough.it had a lot more enemies when I did it,than here,a lot of wolves and polar bears and some yetis just after the start of the cave when you crouch.
      And whit the therizino,purlovias don't aggro on it, unless I dismount. Also one can use the grenade to aggro the purlovia
      The yuty with its fear roar is really good and he has very good damage but his dps is slow. The theri and the rex can attack for example 2 times per second the yuty attacks only once because his attack is slow.but he is still amazing. Idk why people prefer allo over theri in this cave. The theri is more powerful and he can use veggie cakes .so For me the chicken theri and the duck yuty are the best for this cave, then comes the allo in the third place.
      It was actually the easiest cave for me lol because in this cave the theri was fitting easily while in some caves you may be force to use only a sabre or something like that wich is much less powerful.

Hence, I would advice you to start a Yuty breeding line then try this cave with a 100% imprinted Yuty over a wild tamed one. The Benefits are huge. If one has to start their Ark journey now, I would advice them to goto Genesis Part 1 & tame a X-Yutyrannus that gets 88 level ups vs the 73 you get for normal variant.

    Just so you guys know, I was able to complete it with one cryo’d dino to distract dinos and a monkey to climb on the walls. When I got stuck in a tight area I would throw out the dino in the cryo and tell it to run in the other direction and then I would run the right way.

      Sounds risky mate. If using Cryo, I just used a lowly Yuty. You can have 4-5x Theris in a large chamber, then bait the enemies to them from smaller chambers. Good way to farm XP & power level if your Theris are for boss fights.

      I reminisce the ARK of 2015-16 & think how hard Island caves felt. Now, a Sino or a Desmodus makes ALL caves laughably easy. Same with Alpha Dragon vs a Deinonychus.

      @Arindam_Gaming  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, I'm on Discord.
      I will tell you what I feel is the system requirements for this game & not what is mentioned on their site based on 6yrs of playing it on various PC setups:
      RAM: 16GB+ ( My RAM usage is over 10GB for Ark)
      HDD: 344GB(Install size for the Ultimate Edition) Save game sizes are considerable. Hence recommended 1TB HDD/SSD.
      GPU: Atleast GTX 1060 6GB.
      CPU: High single thread usage hence any quad-core processor with higher clock speed. Ex: i5 8600.
      These are for playing in High-Epic settings in 1080p.
      For playing in low-medium a GTX 1050 4Gb should be OK. Remember that Ark is badly un-optimized & even on my setup, I get fps drops on Genesis Part 1 map.

    I don't get why people say the thyla is soooo powerful, mine almost died to a level 15 rex. I kinda want to breed them to see how strong they will be.

    • @Arindam_Gaming
      @Arindam_Gaming  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I agree to you somewhat. Thyla & Argentavis are the most well rounded (versatile) mounts in the game actually. Thyla is a solid mid-tier mount, its semi strong but definitely not OP as people say. BUT BUT, I've in all my years in Ark had a strong bias towards the Argy. They are IMO the most OP creature, able to work as scout, explorer, utility, war bird, alpha killer in 1 package. I actually kill Alpha Rexes on a melee spec. Argy.

      @@Arindam_Gaming Agree with you totally, a very good argie can kill a bunch of wyverns if you know what you're doing. I always used argies to kill alphas until I got gigas. But I wonder why the baryonyx isn't as loved as the argie and thyla. It's the king of caves, one of the best at the sea, and still awesome on land. It's easy to tame and is able to be transported by argies.

    • @AdamGamingARK

      Well actually if you see the base health and the base damage of a lvl1 thyla and you compare it to the allo base stats and the spino base stats you will see that the thyla is really powerful also that's without his bleed that doesn't need a pack to be,unlike with allo.
      Also the thyla can be used to kill titanosaur and creatures with a very high health pool,because they have a bleed that is very effective and that takes only 5seconds
      Unlike the pack of allo wich their bleed require 10seconds to wait
