Doing that fight solo with megatheriums I genuinely found good, but the preparation for them is really annoying, considering they can only be used for that fight.
The terminal for the tek cave doesnt delete the items when its activated so if you want after you kill overseer you can go back to the volcano and grab the heads and alpha drops. Hope you see this
Maybe a silly question.. And definitely too late to change it. But why didn't you spec crafting to make the saddles? Those Rexes have to do all the bosses, and the resource cost is huge, so why not get bonus armour on them by getting crafting bonus % ?
How about the "Awesome Teleporters" mod? Dont for use per se, since u can quite abuse this mod. But u could give all ur Rexes a Tracker and port them to ur location. Makes it easier to solve the clumping issues.

Funny thing. I actually unlocked the taxidermy blueprints on the Island. Also, if I ever fight the bosses, I think I'll stick to Gamma and set my difficulty to 0.1.
They are amazing and work better than the Rexes because of the bug buff, but I would just use the Rexes honestly unless I had some extra time to raise a Megatherium army and that is what it comes down to. Also it is supposedly is better to use a Therizino Army on the Dragon since the Dragon does more damage to carnivores. But again it is all about how much time you want to put breeding additional armies.
I don't know if you're answering comments, especially on videos from some time ago, but I feel the need to ask; why give dinos cooked meat? Does it heal more than just raw meat does? I've always been hard-wired into giving my carnivores raw meat.
Cooked meat stacks last 48 or 50 hours I believe while raw stacks last half of one of those two numbers. Not sure if cooked helps more in terms of food and healing. I use cooked meat automatically because I have a lot thanks to the industrial grill.
Formation commands would in fact be really useful but I donno how hard they would be to program. I've tried coding similar things for far simpler video games and it can be a pain
I know it's been a long while since this episode but is there any reason you didn't go with megatheriums for this fight? Would it have been too easy or would mutating megatheriums have taken longer? I figure with the damage boost from killing bugs they'd do amazing damage.

Didn’t know if it helps at this stage, but in the cluster ark series snow owls can fit in all of the island caves
Going in you should have your taxes on neutral. This would eliminate them getting stuck and unnecessarily hurt by the drones.

Syntac use a Chalicotherium for the Dragon fight.
