  • Today I'm going to show you what to do if you don't have a torch. First of all, why do we use the torch? Torch heat removes air bubbles and makes cells. Then, how about using a hairdryer? Hairdryers can help make cells. But the wind can move the paint. Be careful. So, what do we do to get rid of the bubbles? Try using a needle. Find the bubbles in the picture and pop them with a needle.
    Now you can make great works without Torch. : )

    So much better than pouring. Ive watched some and they waste a ton of paint! This is also more precise! Looks like poring but you can control design more.

    I wonder if a dryer diffuser would help. Or what about a cigarette lighter?

    • @DesignerGemma77
      @DesignerGemma77  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      I think a dryer diffuser might help. But when the wind weakens, the heat will weaken. Using a cigarette lighter is not a good idea. Because the flame goes up. Long nose lighter can be alternative.

    Hello, I don't speak english ! 😟 Vous mettez beaucoup de peinture et de couleurs différentes, j'ai pas l'impression d'en mettre plus voire autant. J'ai une peinture fluide sans être trop liquide. Mes compositions ne donnent pas un aussi beau rèsultat ! C'est juste un melange de couleurs qui ne donnent pas du tout l'impression de voir une fleur. Pourquoi ?
    Merci d'un petit conseil.

    I actually didn't know about the cells being something you can create without the torch. I could have saved 15 dollars last week if I saw the commit. I watch these all the time, there so relaxing and the music puts me asleep. when I wake, the art is so neat that I want to get up and try what I'm seeing. Great job. don't change a thing.

    Quite beautiful, too bad about the big white spaces, but it is still quite pretty. WOuld there have been enough of the paints left on the plastic wrap or whatever you use to paint in, to press another canvas on to make yet another flower? I'm just curious.

    I'm sorry, but I have 2 questions. Once you pulled up the canvas and you had that lovely flower on it, would it have been possible to turn the canvas 90° to 180° and press it lightly down to make more petals or would that have muddied the paint? Also, I notice that many artists of this field use a lot of white (or black) for the base. It is hard to tell in the videos, how heavy do you cover the canvases. The problems I'm having with cracking might be because I haven't used enough paint for the base.
    Thanks for the help...and patience.

    • @DesignerGemma77
      @DesignerGemma77  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks for watching my video. If the angle of the rotation of the canvas is large, the flower can be crushed. I do not use a lot of white base paints. One of the reasons we use glue in acrylic paints is to prevent cracking after drying. If there is a crack in your picture, check how much glue you have mixed. I hope my answer will help you. : )

    Hello, I've tried to do your technique and for some reason I am doing something wrong. Please tell me what type of plastic to use that you apply the paint on. any other helpful suggestions as well. Love this so much!! Thanks!

    • @DesignerGemma77
      @DesignerGemma77  5 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Thanks for loving my video. I found something similar to the plastic sheet I used on Amazon. www.amazon.com/3M-Pre-Taped-Painting-Protection-Covering/dp/B01I66IGRI/ref=sr_1_2?keywords=paint+sheet&qid=1555662093&s=gateway&sr=8-2
      You need to check a few things. The paint should be like non-thick honey. Don't use a lot of paint. Base painting on canvas should be thin. And check the pressure. If the pressure is weak, the paint may not get painted evenly. But if the pressure is strong, the paint can get crushed.

    Muy bonito pero por qué resulta cambiando el modelo del que se ve en la portada del video?

      ¿Te refieres a una imagen de vista previa? La razón por la que lo reemplacé es porque quiero mostrar una imagen más hermosa.

      Para mi gusto, siento contradecirte, la otra es más hermosa, aunque respeto tu desicion y sabemos que entre gustos no hay disgustos,,,gracias por aclarar mi comentario✨💖🙏

    Hi Gemma. Do you press very hard when spreading back of canvas with credit card? My pictures come out muddled instead of any picture shape

    • @DesignerGemma77
      @DesignerGemma77  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you for liking my video. It's really hard to explain the pressure on the card in writing. If the pressure is weak, the paint may not get painted evenly. But if the pressure is strong, the paint can get crushed. We need to experiment several times and find the right pressure. : )

    Do you leave the sides of your canvas untouched, or do you go back and paint them white, or dip them so the colors wraps around?

    • @DesignerGemma77
      @DesignerGemma77  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you for watching my video. My canvas is already a canvas with a gesso on it. So I don't paint the side and let it go. : )

    Your videos are wonderful :) Would you mind sharing what type of glaze or epoxy resin you use when the painting is dry? Thank you!

    • @DesignerGemma77
      @DesignerGemma77  5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Thanks. I have not used it to dry painting. If you want to protect your painting perfectly, apply varnish to the dried painting.
