As soon as I heard you say the cable was the same, I ordered mine to replace my 8 position switch. My existing one is in the same place as your new one. I love your videos they are helping me with modifications. Can’t wait until tomorrow when my 12 gang panel gets delivered.
@@Donslife 12 gang Auxbeam installed and working!! Now for the rock lights since I have more buttons!! Thank you again for the great content on your channel.
This is cool .. can i know which fuse do you use for power the control panel . Is it inside fuse box or the one next to the engine.. my problem is i have some camping lights and I can’t use it without turning car switch on
I used two methods simultaneously. For switched power (turning in the vehicle) I used the cooled seats fuse inside the cab’s fuse panel. I also wired in a remote control turn on so I don’t have to have the vehicle turned on. I don’t use that option very often
@@Donslifethank u , What about the remote? Do you recommend a specific type or do you have video for install it? I hope I did not disturb you, but you are my Sierra godfather.
Don, You make installs look soooo easy ! Knowing how to remove panels , as I dont have that knowledge , is worrisome for me as I dont want to break anything. Great videos though. I am now thinking of dressing up my 2020 Sierra Denali , thank you Don!
As a electrician: please use the propper size fuse in the auxbeam module, that way you have one place to troubleshoot AND you have a visual indicator led for the error
I completely agree with you BUT..... but just asking for a friend I wonder if all the relays are the same Duty ( are same current capacity as all the switching relays). for whatever reason if my friend wants to throw a 30 amp fuse in the 5 amp...... because he's probably got a special purpose and he WON'T run them all at the same time........ or exceed the 100 amps..... knowing him if it's rated for a hundred amp you'll probably only use 50 amps total...... he probably has five or six things that need 20- 30 amps apiece...... just asking for a friend LOL
Did you ever figure out how to make the switches in to pictures on the 15.6" Aucar screen? I am trying hard to import pictures and have the auxbeam app show up with pictures on my aucar screen. So far no luck....
Have you looked into running the Anzo headlights for the Sierra? I’m thinking about getting some because they have LED Projectors instead of the OEM reflector style which usually offers more even, useable light.
What’s up brother! Might be a dumb question but if you have the boost auto running boards connected to the switch and you start the truck is there a setting for that to come on when the truck starts? Or do you have to turn them on remotely every time?
Don , love your videos. I purchased an Auxbeam 8 for my rock lights but I have pod lights on my truck that is wired to my reverse and on a separate switch so I can use at night. How can I wire the pod lights to the Auxbeam and still have them on my reverse and separate switch ?
Hi Donny, I have this all installed and running, but I cannot find any ACC point to hook it up. Can you tell me where exactly you did it? I seen you have taken it out of PAX Seat Cooler, but not one of my fuses are ACC powered. 2022 2500HD Denali Duramax.

There are two identical rubber grommets about 3” in diameter located on the firewall. The look like rubber cones. You need to cut or slice a hole in the tip to pass your wiring through. Folding back the sound deadening material on the inside of the cab will also need to be done. Watch my Auxbeam AR-800 video if you’d like to see more information.
I just ordered that same one, I will be doing the same upgrade soon. Great video, lots of info thank you
Amazing. I am happy I went this way.
@@Donslifeit looks great, I'm excited to upgrade my switch panel. It's nice that the cable is compatible with the 8 gang switches

I love the faxt that you did plug both Strands DRL colors!
I love having options!
problems is I can't make up my mind! one hooked up to truck's DRL and the other with a switchback relay on my auxbeam

Thank you for the kind words. It has been many years of practice. Lot’s of scrapes and cuts along the way
You can connect some LED grille lights to it, it is for a tow truck and if you can change the flash pattern of the lights, there are 30 flash patterns
Do you have to run a wire through firewall for this one, or is it wireless and power is just supplied to pad?

Hey don, what kind of diode and where did you wire it for the controller? I’m thinking of doing something like that
