I think this is one of those rare times a spray can paint job makes sense. If a car's paint is really knackered or someone's already had a go it doesn't matter as much - as long as you don't expect 'professional' results you can really smarten up a car and you've certainly done that here. Nice to see this stuff - gives other people who are into classics but perhaps haven't got the cash to buy something perfect a bit of inspiration and hope that if they look around and have the time and willingness to put the effort in they can end up with something they can be proud of.

I'm in total admiration for you for what you've done to this car Chris. Looks fantastic.
    I love it.

That looks really good for a rattle can job. Definitely inspiring for having a go on a N2k car!

Well done mate, and the wheels make it look amazing. It was definitely worth the wait for this video and it makes me want a ZX 🤔

Wow great transformation 😀. Red roof with the red in the body protection looks great and the wheels are ace 😁

Amazing series on the ZX, thank you! I had a 1.4 Neon as my first car and it brought back some great memories

You know my background Chris, so you know what I mean when I say "painful to watch".
With that said, I enjoyed the video, and I'm glad that you might inspire other people to have a go at paintwork. Some may actually appreciate what a dirty difficult and expensive business it is, professionally atleast.
    Keep the videos coming mate.

Looks much better than it did. It saves the car and I guess protects the body ok. Does it need a clear coat? And I suppose if the car suddenly becomes a rare classic in 20 years (however unlikely) that’s all reversible and it can be professionally painted?

Youve done a great job on the ZX. I thought these, especially the Volcane, were really smart back in the day when they came out 😉🇫🇷

An hour with a half decent buffer and some g3/g10 compound and that'll look perfect

As usual, modest intentions but here’s a stylish, practical car which is much more than the sum of its parts.

Daughter wanted to paint the roof red, so red it stays.

I love keeping the roof red! Nod to the history of the car, and it looks good.

From a few feet away, it look`s well, but you should have painted the roof.

Paintjob is nicely done. But sadly now the car went from kinda funny to , dare i say it, bland again.
Maybe also paint the mirrors, doorgrips and rims the same red color as the roof? just my 2ct
