I saw your channel mentioned and linked on the MN ReSynthesizer page, pretty cool! Sometimes I just swap the DPO with the Spectraphon in my Shared System, with interesting results, but actually the mix with Erbe-verb and Echophon makes the Spectraphon shine. But in the end I allways come back to the raw power of the DPO.
Wow awesome video and great tips. I left my “shared system” as is and just used longer patch cables. I only have one Maths so use a Mutable Stages if I need more functions. Still I love exploring the Resynthesizer concept. Thanks for making this.
Still am guilty of not recording the output to Morphagene. Another one here… empty spaces hurts the brain. Thanks for the video and I’m off to download their reel(s).
Great video! Will you be doing a morphagene vs startdust comparison at some point? I've always gassed for the moprhagene and the stardust looks like a similar beast, but maybe upgraded? Anyway I'm curious if we will see a mophagene mk2 at some point in the future as well. What a great time to be into eurorack
I've just seen the video and I need to check the manual. I think there's a huge overlap, but I'd get a StarDust just to get back at 1:1 speed. The biggest difference is that the Morph can splice up a reel like a tape cutter and supports 32 reels (2,5 minute each, 300 splicepoints) on SD. I haven't seen any load/save buttons on the Stardust and saving isn't mentioned. Also, the Morph can overlap pieces of sound and use chord ratios. My guess for now is that Stardust will be a practical live sound on sound looper and the Morph is more for experimental stuff where pitch doesn't matter too much.
@@CinematicLaboratoryI looked also I believe you can save from the video but I can’t see it doing the akai wind to milliseconds (ala between disco hospital and teenage lightning on LSD by Coil)that has always been integral to what I do along the with ambisonics etc .and I use it with drums after clouds with kammerl beat repeater that someone updated without telling me(I tried wavepicker)… so many modules to update including spectrophon…
Interesting, this is exactly the approach my practice has been taking
