Engraving large items

  • My latest method for securely engraving oversized items with the XTool D1. I use an existing jig to create the most secure method yet. Although the jig modification does require some tools, it is very useful for oversized pieces. The sculpfun enclosure was donated to me for a previous video, at that time I wasn't sure if I had a need for it. I finally put it to work.
    For templates that I have made, check out my Etsy shop. I build files for projects and tools for the XTool D1.

    You do SO much and spend SO much time teaching and showing others how to use their engravers...and you do it all expecting nothing in return. Kudos to you and thank you !!

    Nice job...If you put a wood sealer before staining you would get a more even coat over your work piece...Cheers!

      The variations in the grain is what they love. Apparently without it, it doesn’t look rustic… That’s the way they like them.

      @@TheClackShack All I can say is...Keep giving them what they love!!!In my part of the world they like the modern but still rustic look...Meaning they want it all even, with a rustic look...I prefer your way but, it does not sell well where I live...

    Hi Clack Shack, Do you know how to lower the xTool D1 diode lower than the lowest setting? I have a smoke enclosure that raises the D1 by 4.77mm (3/16 inch) which means if I try to laser a large item by sitting the D1 inside the enclosure on top of what I need to engrave, it's 3.55mm (3/64 inch) too high when the D1 is in the lowest setting. Any suggestions?

    • @TheClackShack
      @TheClackShack  ปีที่แล้ว

      You could shorten the legs or bring the work surface up.

    Yak yak, waffle waffle. Man this is not a good video. We've seen everything but engraving a large item. We've seen woodworking and mostly your back. Please bud, a word of advise, please look at how some of the other guys do a video presentation. A good example would be Paw Paw's workshop. He is focused, precise and to the point. Sorry for the bad review.
