king of ghazals ustad mehdi hassan sings shair lukhnavi's ghazal.
this private mehfil was held in vancouver canada in 1977 at the residence of former pakistani play back singer salim raza (jaane baharan fame).
salim raza migrated to canada in the 70's where he opened a music school in vancouver.
he was a very good friend of khan sahib mehdi hassan.

What is so special with the great Mehdi Hassan Saheb was the fact that whatever he had attempted during his glittering career spanning over almost six decades, as a singer of exceptional merit, he could do it with such finesse and perfection !
The great Khan Saheb had a rare GOD -- GIFTED ability to lend credence to any lafz of the shayar with the exact feel, as depicted in the kalam, owing to his magical voice and inimitable style of gayiki !
Such a resourceful singer will ever tread this path again in this world !
