Yup my charging handle wiggles as well. So does my Marlin 60 charging handle and pretty much all 22lr semi auto charging handles. It's fine and doesn't affect performance.
My ruger 10/22 charging handle doesn't move nearly as much as this guns but it does have a little bit of play to it. It's kinda weird how the charging handle sticks out so far on these. Does that have something to do with it being the bolt lock?
I was wondering about that , mine came off at the shooting range , my son found it and we came home took it apart and put back on , I guess it fits loose , kind of wobbles .
In mine the bolt got stuck when I pulled it back. Can’t get it to release again. Wonder if this is a defect in the bolt. I have the same one as the one in your video.
Bought one for my son just to plink around. 100 rounds maybe and now feeding issues. The lead is gouged from the feeding ramp and won’t slide all the way up into the barrel. Any pointers?
I have heard of folks using a small o-ring to put behind the lever/colt that takes up a lot of that slop but I’m worried it may interfere with the functionality of the rifle.. I’m assuming these companies send them out like this for a reason
I have an rs22 and it doesn't wamt to feed more then 1 round the rest get stuck in the magazine any tips on this issue? I put one round in magazine it will feed fine half of the time the other half it jams
Bought mine on Cinco De Mayo, @ wally world $125 out the door! My son's bday gift (8yrs old), he's so stoked 😍 🙌. Can't wait for him to take it to the range.
To lock the bolt to the rear, simply pull the bolt back and the push in the charging handle (towards the bolt). To release it, just pull back on the bolt again.
@@chadwickmeyer7844 funny thing is i watched your vid before i bought the gun so I knowed how to do this in the store, but forgot and had to come back to your vid!
My cocking lever dismantled itself when shooting. I can't cock the chamber anymore because I don't have a cocking lever. I still have it but it's popped right out. Can you do a video that shows how to dismantle and restore The cocking lever?
You can buy one from Rossi for $3.99, I also lost mine , my son found it and we put it it back on so we’ll see next time we shout it . I understand it’s supposed to loose like that . The hardest part is dealing with the spring and putting it back but it’s not too bad . It’s basically two Phillip screws and two roll pins . Don’t drop that tiny little pin that holds the charging lever in place. Once you get that spring in it is supposed to push the little pin that holds the charging bolt .
Mine come off while firing twice to much tolerance going back to shop . There’s a pin that latch to the handle it’s too Loose and flys forward while firing found it twice 5 ft away
Just picked one of the Rossi rs22 rifles up seems like a nice little gun. When you mounted your scope and removed the rear sight did you put the rear sight screws back in the gun? Or just left them out?
That’s why I got a picatinny rail on top of the dovetail rail and popped on a red dot sight instrument of a scope. This way I kept my open sights. Anything goes wrong, i just remove the rail along with the red dot in one quick shot
This is a licensed copy of a marlin 795,I have an older marlin 795 from the mid 80s and when I took the sr22 apart to clean it after trying to make it stop working after500 rds of cheap mixed bulk crap ammo,I wondered why the damn thing kept going no trouble that's when I found the answer,I thought this rifles guts look awfully familiar wait a min this damn thing is a marlin mod 795 copy tickled the he'll out of me,I guess it's cheaper to build something that's a proven design than start from scratch 😉

I had the handle fly off at the range as well. Ordered a replacement and haven’t shot it since, was concerned but trying to make it a reliable plinker

I bought an aftermarket bolt and was a tighter fit!

Same
brand new rs22 after the second shot my bolt stuck open.
What's the fix?
My charging handle came out while shooting it at the range. Lucky, I found it. Now I have to figure out how to put it back in.
Thank you. Take care!
No problem, you too!
Is it suppose to lock back every time you fire?

Thank you sir, I just bought one idk why mine was $325 other people bought there’s for cheap lol
Brooo whaatt, these go for like $130 all day

If you spent $325, you bought the 22 magnum version not the 22 LR version.
Mine was ok new, but after 100 or so rounds it’s quite floppy now
How do you unlock the bolt and lock it easier I just got the rifle and it’s kinda tricky to me
To lock the bolt to the rear, simply pull the bolt back and the push in the charging handle (towards the bolt).
To release it, just pull back on the bolt again.

It’s supposed to be loose. My Rossie RS does the same thing and there are no issues.

I will do it tonight.

Dang, sounds like you got a defective one. Hope the fix/exchange it for you.

I left them out, but that’s just personal preference.
Happy shooting!
@@chadwickmeyer7844 thank you for the quick reply. The gun seems pretty decent so far in the hands hopin to break it in this week sometime.

@@factorybear5264 Yep, at one point I did the same thing, but I personally didn’t like the look. Too much hardware for me.
I put shoot thru scope mounts I could still use the sights
Mine won’t lock back at all, can’t push it in
I mean the bolt just sits there only purpose is to pull back the receiver I have the mosberg plinker and there 99% equal never had a problem tho

How the hell do you get your bolt to stay open??? I can't get mine to stay open
Push the charging handle in towards the bolt.
My charging handle is stuck open
Nvm 🤣 I figured it out 🤣🤣
Good to hear. 😀
Can you explain how ? I can’t get mine to stay open
@@plvto1687 when you pull back on the charging handle, push it in towards the bolt. That will lock it in place at the rear.
