I have viewed most if not all of the 2240 disassembly videos out there, and I believe this one is the best, based on the very good photography and the narrative. It will be my guide. Thank you, Mr. Meyer.

Bought one for my son just to plink around. 100 rounds maybe and now feeding issues. The lead is gouged from the feeding ramp and won’t slide all the way up into the barrel. Any pointers?

Funny how this is much harder to replace the barrel than on my Colt 1911, Glock , Ruger, Taurus , PSA , Beretta ,S&W ,Canik etc. I guess its the way it has to be since the gun powers the pellet instead of a cartridge. I will install my 14.6 barrel tonight. Thank you. I have plastic breech. Should I use loctite sleeve retaining compound ? It keeps barrels on my High Standard 22 revolvers. Dont know if it works on a plastic metal bond.

Fantastic "how to" video for this rifle, Chad! Now if I could only use this method for the RS22M! Also, do you have any recommendation for how much torque to tighten the two barrel-receiver retention screws? My understanding is over-torquing can negatively impact accuracy.

Excellent video. I bought one last week and took it to the range. Shot great but seemed very sluggish with the bolt and recoil action. Dissembled and found factory grease and gunk in the receiver and on the bolt and recoil spring.. Cleaned all and lightly lubed. Working very smoothly now. To all new purchasers of this rifle, dissemble and clean first before shooting.

You know the pins that secure the Rossi rs-22.are to stay attached... I mean, You can do what you did but, if you notice that one side is slightly smaller & the opposite side has hash marks/ extrusions so that, you can keep the pins attached if you lay the rifle down bolt side facing down & push from the opposite side. They are meant to stay captured.

Hey DJ. Thanks for the input. I’m not 100% convinced that what you are saying is correct though. I realize that the pins are tapered, but I doubt that they would go out the other way.
