    WHAT A WILD CAR! This BMW E60 M5 is just an amazing Vehicle! When Luis first got this thing back to Florida, I was blown away at it. For those who don't know, I once had an E60 BMW, but it was a 545i Sport. This thing was kind of the same body style, but with an insane V10 underneath the hood. Pair the beautiful engine with BMWs Iconic Sapphire Metallic Black, and you have one HECK of a car!
    With this one, there wasn't much of any coating on the vehicle, and I knew this going into it because I've washed it a few times since Luis bought it. This told me that there wasn't a need for any kind of Pre-Treatment. Therefore, we gave the car a good wash, used some Meguiar's D101 + Ever-so-soft Detail Brush to ensure all trim pieces, panel gaps, etc. were cleaned out, and took it inside the shop to start Clay Baring it.
    With this correction, I tried a new Cutting Pad apart from my usual rotation. A blue Rupes Coarse Foam Cutting Pad. It worked Fantastically! Now for the 1 inch pad, I used an Adams Polishes cutting pad, but I bought a new brand of 2" pads to try out for my next detailing coming up! Ill talk more about it then, but I'm really hoping they work good because of how cost effective they are. Past that, we finished it with the trusty Sonax Perfect Finish + Yellow Rupes Polishing pad. I really want to start finishing these jobs with a finishing polish and finishing pad, but just need MORE TIME! Especially with a time-constraint job like this one, definitely wouldn't have had time for another entire polishing step.

    I have the same color Sapphire Black same year 2006 M6 and it's been collecting dust as I work on an engine rebuild. This gives me hope to see her shine again when I'm finally done

    That black color is carbon black a special one for M cars

    • @TheTAEclub
      @TheTAEclub 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Why is it special is it only for bmw m cars? Is this one that or is it sapphire black?

    • @leonlange861
      @leonlange861 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@TheTAEclub this is Saphire black metallic. I first thought it’ll be carbon black because he mentioned the blue hue. Carbon black is a very vibrant dark blue in direct sunlight and pure black in every other situation. Saphire black has no hue to it other than just black metallic. The blue part you see in this video is clearly just reflection from the sky and therefore is saphire black metallic.
      Carbon black was not a m-only color but a very rare color and has changed a lot over the years. The e60 was almost in the range of medium/dark blue and the modern bmws with carbon black are more of a dark dark blue

    What polishing pad is that I have the same paint 2012 135i

    • @ccdetailing
      @ccdetailing  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I used a combination of different pads + products for the sake of correcting. You can try a 1 step combination of things, but it'll be difficult with a BMW. I would recommend using a Microfiber cutting pad, and after you've compounded the paint, follow up with a yellow rupes pad + polish!

    As far as older M cars you'll see E30, E36, E46, E39 but you will not see a E60 maybe at a car show but rarely seen driving down the road.

      That’s why I love this car. Just an awesome piece of machinery and the owner takes such good care of it and drivers it regularly. We go on rallies together, road trips, goes to shows with us, does all of his own work, etc. Just an awesome piece of machinery.

    How much did you charge for ceramic coating this car.

    • @ccdetailing
      @ccdetailing  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Usually I don't disclose how much a customer has paid for their Detail, but I can tell you a correction, topped with CSL+EXO V4 can range from $1,000 even up to 4,000+ depending on the amount of Correcting, size of vehicle, current condition, any add ons, etc.
