Please position the camera up a little more next time. Watching the gauges while you ride is not interesting. It kind of makes you sick from "car sickness." The front end of this bike and the new Goldwing was designed a long time ago. It is called a Hossick front end. Separates braking from steering forces.

I think the R1100R/RS/RT are really an engineering wonder. Its now 2020 and I own a 99 R1100R with 22K miles. Reliable, very very comfortable, great clearance, great handling, great braking, ABS, fantastic ergonomics. Not the fastest but way faster than most cars and handles highways easy. I actually like the somewhat clunky gear box (improves from 99). They are built like a brick, I like the looks ...and you can get a low mileage one for 3K and less these days (2020) which is just ridiculous. My garage guy says he has recently serviced one with 200K on it. They are known to keep going... Not many options for tires due to wheel size, but I have just put on new Conti Attacks which are fantastic. Put a Booster Plug on it and don't forget to turn off the choke after about 60-90 seconds on cold starts...

Haha, I saw that too. But, it doesn't really matter on these bikes as its actually a high-idle lever. These bikes are fuel injected, so it "chokes" the intake mixture by adding more fuel. Boils down to a fuel consumption issue, more than a rich running bike.

I currently own a 1994 R1100RS, awesome machine. As for what he said about possibly not finding the Telelever front suspension on a sport bike, I had the same suspension on my 2007 BMW K1200S. Although it was loosely classed as a sport touring bike, with 167 hp the emphasis weighted heavily on the sport part of that equation. I've owned four BMW's, 1994 R1100RS (current) - 2007 K1200S - 2009 R1200R - 1994 K75S, and they all had the Telelever front suspension.

I was also a very new rider when I bought it and it’s very forgiving, I thought so anyway. It’s perfect as a daily commute mule or riding from Seattle to Miami. ABS, fuel injection, heated handgrips and the best hard luggage ever put on a motorcycle.

I have a '94 RS. Love the bike but am going to sell it as I have a RT now and several other bikes. It is most comfortable for people with short inseams and long arms. I have put 500 mile days on it, but am a little stiff in the knees and arms. Not sure I would recommend it for a beginner: need some maintenance expertise and it is a deceptively fast bike. This is a thoroughbred--made for the autobahn--essentially a street legal race bike.

@@christiansimpson6377 thanks, I’ve got a friend with a 14k mile ‘96 that’s sat in the garage untouched for close to 15 years. Will need lots of TLC to get it safely back on the road but it would be very satisfying. Costly but satisfying none the less. Just have to convince him that as it sits it’s not worth nearly what it was when he parked it.

Its not a choke. It opens a throttle body butterfly valve a little to help start it on cold days. Its fuel injected.

Had one, the engine is great, the brakes are great the suspension is good the rest is rubbish.

I had a K75 and a similar experience. Great engine, handled and stopped well, but other than the engine the thing may as well been made from swiss cheese- the electrics and transmission both troublesome.

Just because it has a boatload of electronic doo-dads, it is not necessarily a great bike. If you don't have an engineering degree and like simple DIY, stick with basic metric or American bikes which you won't have to work on nearly as much. These bikes ride great, but somebody has to pay the expense of keeping it running. UBER EXPENSIVE to maintain.

why not quote Exodus 21:7? Ephesians 6:5-9? Luke 19:27? can we keep it to the bikes and not your belief in fairy tales and imaginary friends?

You're the one that clicked onto his channel man, so that was on you, not him. Might I suggest you stop watching things, that you don't necessarily agree with" instead of being upset about it, and trying to get the man to change his channel" to better fit you! If you haven't found God yet, and I am talking about the one and only" God almighty who is the creator of everything before, during, and after your time. Might I suggest you give him a try! What do you have to lose? I promise you, that after I give God a chance to come into my life, it's changed like nothing I even imagined it could be like. I may as well just tell you, that before truly letting God into My life, I was nothing more than a broken version of what I could be. After letting God into My life fully, I know I can do and achieve Anything. For instance I used to think that" people like Sean, were only"so gung ho about God" all the time, because they were born into Money, and it had nothing to do with commitment, and hard work. After giving My life to God, I know now why Sean, and others like him, give all thanks for everything that they have to God. I am no longer on the outside" looking in wondering how it would be to have a beautiful home, car, family and friends. Basically any and everything. I'm not sure how to explain it, other than I accepted what was right in front of my eyes the whole time. Ohh I'm not trying to tell you that my life is perfect, and that I never have any problems, but they sure are easier to handle now that I have God to help me with them.
My name is Tony, and I have a used Motorcycle shop in Chattanooga Tennessee, if there ever was a man that needed God you're listening to him. I have to go open up my shop, but please hear me when I say God is Great!!!!💯🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
