The level of craft is so far far above what’s commonly done in America, it almost takes a minute to tell you’re making a door from scratch. So great to see this!
Very nice, now I understand how a door is fitted. Thank you! There is one thing I am wondering; would it not be worth putting some sound-insulating materials in that gap between the wall and the door frame? e.g. some type of plastic or rubber or maybe that foam spray thing people sometimes use?
Top quality work Pete! I’m going to take the method of using a bevel for the architrave. And it’s actually quite nice to see it all nailed by hand and punched in! 💪🏻
Yet again taught simply and your fully showing the steps on the video, luv watching you guys works I’m sure anybody could learn off any of your videos, TOP JOB!! 👌👍
Hi Kevin are apologies for not replying it’s something that is getting incredible more difficult because of other time commitments like family, running a business, organising a huge show for the Youth of today, it’s one of the main reasons I have hardly done any videos myself, and I’am always thankful that are other Sub get involved and answer some questions as like an open debate. Me personally I don’t like using adhesive on the back some people do it’s just the way some people are shown or decide it might be better fix which in an open debate it could be. There are so many grab adhesive out there they all do pretty much the same job it’s really what your merchant has in stock. Kevin thank-you for being a long time and loyal subscriber I truly mean that because we would not be doing what we are doing without everyone support have a awesome week all the best Tony 👍
you have glasses and ear protection but you lack gloves for the table saw,,,,,,,,??? I'm sorry I can't bear to comment on it, you only have 10 fingers,
Attention to detail is second to none. Great job again. Can't wait for his own channel to start.

Nice one Pete but please use a push stick on that table saw 👍👍🍺🍺
Excellent and detailed work! I like the approach to get it done right and not leave it to somebody down the line to fix sloppy work.
Glad you liked it dude! Take care 👍
Great attitude and standard of work. well done. We used to leave what was called a penny gap to allow for painting etc. That's an old penny thickness.

Hi Pete.
Nice video Pete.
Cya Pete.
PS: Pete, use the sodding push stick Pete. 🙃
Top job Peter. What thickness is the slamming strips you used please?
12 to 13mm 👍
Nice job 👏🏻 thanks for your explanation 👍🏽
Nice tight work
Appreciate it! Have a lovely weekend! 👍
Nice tip with the bevel, I like that
Thanks for watching FB 👍
Nice one Pete, I think one of the sponsors need to drop off a Second fix gun for you to test, sod that hand nailing malarkey 😂😂👏👏
Defo on daywork 👍
Amazing video as per. What size panel pins is he using?
Great job what make table saw you used
Good video mate but why don't you use mitre fast on the mitre's and a 18 gauge 2nd fix nail gun to secure?
Wicked detail! What’s that drum and bass tune in the video called? Nice one
Nice work mate, But if you lads are 2nd fixing with hammer an nails why not cut the mitres with hand saws etc?
Always build the whole set up on the floor/wall and then install in one piece.
Much quicker
@Build With A&E Hi guys, what nails/ pins was pete using on the architraves please? : )
1”1/2 or 2” depending on architrave thickness and 30mm sheridized panel pins all the best Tony 👍
@@BuildWithAE Thanks so much Tony; that's exactly what I needed to know. Keep up the great work. You are the benchmark : )
Where u get that bevel mate?
Amazon 👍
Lovely job Pete , like the bevel tip for the mitres 👌🏼
Miss you guys 🥺🧱👍🏼
Thanks guys! We miss you too, feels weird not having you on site 🥺 Take care!

@@BuildWithAE Thanks for the reply 👍
@@amazing451 He shouldn't need to reply. It's literally in the video
Nice, well explained vid. Only downside was the terrible choice of ‘music’ 😁
Tidy work ya definitely need to get a second fix nailer
but it is a bad ass piece of kit though lol
Eh yup - Your fingers get a bit close to the blade on the table saw, Great vid though, thanks for posting.
4:22....how close did your hand come to the saw blade? Look after yourself mate
Com'on stop trying to be flash, it's called a door stop ! 🙄
I think gluing architrave on is bad practice
Why is it bad practice? I've found glue+nail (or glue+screw) always gives the best bond when you don't want it to move
