I get what she’s doing but living in NYC all my life with actual homeless people on the street, i just cant get behind this person trying to get famous for being homeless by choice while drinking her Starbucks and shopping at Mercedes. Leaves a bad taste in my mouth. It’s smart, but it makes me extremely uncomfortable….

Couldn't agree more, I live in CT which isnt too far from NY & the homeless population here is just as bad unfortunately. Her trying to classify herself as "homeless" while living in her van, drinking starbucks etc if the ACTUAL homeless community heard her try to classify herself as such they would legit laugh in her face & tell her she don't even know the half of it or be able to cut it if she didn't have those extra luxuries to fall back on to help make her comfortable.

“Homelessness or houselessness - also known as a state of being unhoused or unsheltered - is the condition of lacking stable, safe, and adequate housing.”
Is her vehicle stable? That’s subjective.
Is her vehicle safe? That’s subjective. More safe than a bis bench? Yes. More safe than an Avon dined house/building? Depends. Cars are easy to break into usually.
Is her car adequate housing? Not really.
I personally don’t care how she refers to herself. It’s not affecting anyones life in a major way, it doesn’t contribute to more homelessness, and it’s not shifting the world.

@@IAMCCSuarez, I hope this doesn’t come across as rude, however you did say that you appreciate constructive criticism so… I’m an older southern lady so I do speak my mind and at times I do come across a tad bit rude, even though I’m not meaning to come across that way at all. So that might be why I’m picking up this vibe from you. You know, like that old saying, it takes one to know one? But you do come across as arrogant at times, in my opinion. And your speech is very monotone and flat, and that might be why you seem arrogant. Most arrogant people sound very monotone and flat when they speak. I haven’t been following you for very long, so I don’t know what part of the country you’re from, so it could be just the way y’all talk from that area. Some think that all people from the south are dumb hillbillies. So I can certainly understand that your speech patterns might just be because of where you’re from. I just thought I’d let you know that you do speak in a very monotone and flat way and it’s coming across as arrogance. And the vocal fry…sweetie, please stop that, it is so annoying. Yours isn’t half as bad as the young lady who’s TH-cam channel is called 10 to Life. Omg hers is so bad that I had to stop listening to her channel. It’s like nails on a chalkboard. I think the two of you are around the same age, so it might have something to do with the generation that y’all grew up in, I don’t know. But I hear a lot of young women y’all’s age that speak with that vocal fry and I’m just saying, it’s annoying. Put a little inflection in your voice and don’t be afraid of how you’re going to sound to people or how you look all the time. It seems like you’re trying to be this always put together sophisticated type of young woman and it’s coming across as stuffy and arrogant. Let your hair down and laugh sometimes. Talk to your followers like we’re your friends or family. Don’t be afraid to make mistakes. Even if you snort when you laugh, snort away.🤣 Loosen up and have fun with us. I know that some of your content isn’t anything to laugh at, but break away from that sometimes and tell us about yourself and your life, especially the fun parts. Do a whole video in your PJ’s with no makeup on and your hair in a bun. It’s okay to admit that you’re not perfect and you don’t always have the answers, especially when you’re exposing some of these possible scammers or grifters as you call them. Stay humble, because, but for the grace of God, goes you…and me. God bless and take care.

Jury’s have ruined lives over patchy memories seeming unbelievable and like stories they couldn’t keep straight, especially women from the bipoc community who are more likely to experience trauma and therefore gaps in memory where stress levels are elevated, just my two cents, appreciate reading your experience and perspective though, drive safe and sane on your way to walmart hehe

@@kadeelacayo4806 That's not what Rawr meant. Rawr wasn't saying "She brushes her teeth, therefore she's not homeless". She's saying "Ari's teeth are an unnatural shade that can only be accomplished through either repeated professional bleaching or veneers. Both of which are VERY expensive, far outside the financial reach of most people living at or below poverty. Hell, even working class and lower middle class are likely not able to afford such luxuries, especially since insurance doesn't cover it. Though, given the unnatural straightness at the bottom of her teeth, her smile is most likely attributable to veneers. A good set of quality veneers, which those appear to be, run approximately $10k to $20k. If we're looking at LA, which it looks like she may be given all the beach pics, and HIGH quality, then that cost will go up to 2k to 3k PER TOOTH. The average adult has 32 teeth, so you're looking at $64k to $96k for the finest of bright white fakeness."

@@Original_Tenshi_Chan she lived in big mansions. She could have had all the luxuries in life 13 months ago…. But now her life has been completely changed.
I see where people are coming from…
But I just think she’s a hot mess and it’s obvious by the attachment issues she hinted at between her “free spirited dad” who runs from his responsibilities and her mom with whom she did not ever form a strong bond.
Even her grandma treated her funny for bonding so closely with her grandfather who adopted her.
The cali family was still partying and drinking and fighting…. So she had to go. If you are struggling with mental health issues and/ or substance abuse, you cannot be around that kind of environment unless you’re begging for a relapse.
I think the biggest issue is, people can’t fathom that a cute attractive girl can “really” be in this position. They think she’s just a glam, car-livin, hippie.
Meanwhile… I feel like I can see the utter and complete hot ass mess that she actually IS. Yet she recently found god and seems to be seeking healing so I’m not knocking her…
I’m just sayin, I’m kinda scratching my head at why people think she’s “scamming” instead of the literal hot mess that she is!?
I personally have experience in this area so maybe it’s just more obvious to me. Idk 🤷🏼‍♀️

Yea same on the tickets thing. The last and only two tickets I got were in 2010 and I remember everything about them. Also, her moving to CA while knowing she is not financially set was what instantly made me not give a fuck about her situation. I know that’s harsh, but CA is known for being expensive. We have so many homeless people here that truly need help and are not homeless by choose. So choosing to move here and live the van life while simultaneously asking for money on the internet is really frustrating. If she needed to move far away, NV is right next door and significantly cheaper. I used to go to college with a girl who came from money, her and all her friends glamorized being homeless and chose to live the van life for whatever reason, but they were pretty so people would often give them money and whatnot while on the street. Meanwhile my dad is homeless due to mental illness and is frequently harassed or arrested for just existing as a homeless person and being mentally ill. A lot of us can’t even afford to live in the home we have grown up in here, so I just don’t get why the fuck she would move here. It makes no sense

It might be because California is warm year round in most parts of the state. I’ve heard that’s why a lot of people choose California. If you’re going to be on the streets or in a tent or in a vehicle, it would be very uncomfortable in the winter, so they choose a state where it’s warm most of the time.

@@teresacox2511 Florida is warm year round, a lot cheaper than California and closer to Arkansas where she came from.
Ari has aspirations to do exactly what she's doing and I suspect that she did some unsavory things before she left (that's according to some folks who popped up in her chat who know her). There's just really no rational reason that a truly homeless person would choose to live in the most expensive state in the country and drive around all day while gas is super expensive in California. Can't be doing too bad to have the money to even sustain driving around all the time at this time of inflation.

I’ve been homeless before and nothing about it is glamorous. It sucks especially in the winter. If you’re a smoker and can’t afford cigarettes you will find yourself picking up random thrown out buds to get some nicotine in your system. It’s depressing. It feels hopeless. Maintaining a job homeless isn’t impossible but it’s hard as well for multiple reasons.

I've already seen videos on TH-cam reacting to her videos as a criticism to "how homeless people spend money" and this is EXACTLY why she pisses me off. She is making it harder for people with real issues gaining housing & help harder to gain access to help. They will see Ari staying at the Biltmore & think ALL homeless people would do the same if they were given money (instead of maybe buying food & getting into a studio apartment). I really hope videos like this one keep coming to remind everyone she is unhoused by CHOICE to make money off of it.

The only time I’d see a Starbucks cup in the hands of the homeless people I live around, is if they pulled it out of the trash can. Never seen or heard about this girl but she reminds me a bit of a friend who is all about the Van-life, traveling and such. She has a great paying, remote job so she pays for most things herself. HOWEVER, she is very privileged and refuses to acknowledge it. She has all her belongings stuffed in a room at her parents home, (doesn’t pay them rent) and is constantly complaining about her lack of food and proper shelter (so people will feel sorry for her and give her money 🙄, food or shelter) because she refuses to pay over a certain amount for these (much needed) things in order to pay for experiences such as entrance to certain private places, snorkeling, scuba diving, etc. I get the appeal about that type of life but pay for that shit yourself if those are the things you wanna do- DONT GRIFT ON OTHERS. I hate that shit.

Certainly not an easy way to live. His car has been broken into, with him inside. Pipes and whatnot have been removed from the underneath making the car undrivable. He is free to live his life the way he wants. But he isn't scamming people either, at least, not that I'm aware of.

Love that you always take an objective approach. You present the facts, and then you present potential back office facts (real life s**t). It’s incredibly informative & personable for fellow creators/potential creators/ and all invested online personalities. Sometimes we can get caught up in this whirlwind of “the algorithm” and “the following”. It’s vital to have successful and logical people in those positions keeping it real out here. Being vulnerable and genuine with your audience… about all of the aspects of content creator life, it’s just so refreshing. You are appreciated. Haven’t watched any of her videos yet but I can say, as someone who’s transitioning from brick home to converted van life & documenting via socials, this video reminded me that we can show the world our struggles but until we show them our vulnerabilities, it’s simply not relatable. I hope this girl finds a mentor to teach her how to invest properly with her newfound blessings. And I genuinely hope the people who so kindly donated to her think back, despite what she’s previously done, as to why they felt inclined in the first place. God forbid we all find out she lives in a high rise😫 if so, babe you’re a genius, but also…. Sheeeeeeeesh. I can think of at least five better hustles. That don’t involve monetizing sympathy.

Real life it's concerning that someone would want to show homeless in California. The fact the channel took off makes me think the powers that be like this content. Just live in a van, plug in yt and be happy. We no longer make money from talent or hard work, just be cute and people will donate. Fast forward 50 years I'm wondering what is the plan for old people. I care for an 89yr and she has a homeless friend that's 70 that got his van taken because he couldn't afford the tag after the engine blew. He's got health problems. It's not a pretty situation. It's sad. I don't care if her channel makes money or not. My concern is the overall meaning for the future of our world. We donate to cute homeless you tubers, but look past the 70 year old struggling with being out priced for life. He's one of many in California. It makes me sad it's not just her channel. It's the whole black mirror thing and these channels. It's hard as hell on a lot of elderly folks with fixed incomes. I know it takes all kinds. I'm one opinion. I just don't get the appeal and drive that one would send money to her.

Not remembering something isn’t grounds for me not believing a person. In my 20s, I was dealing with undiagnosed bipolar and OCD, with suicidality most days and multiple suicide attempts. I also was going blind, was told that I qualified for a couple of surgeries to save my vision, then wasn’t able to have them, and then somehow became a candidate for corneal transplants in each eye. I don’t remember MOST of my 20s because they were f**king traumatic and stressful. I am not even sure what year it was when I had either one of my transplants. I failed out of college-but couldn’t tell you how many semesters I failed before I got kicked out or what year that was.
So forgetting things is pretty believable to me!

I take back all that I said. I thought y’all were saying that she forgot how many tickets she got or when. I find it much more unlikely that she forgot what she was arrested for. And Chelsea said they were arrests.

As an Arkansan if prices are an issue you don’t leave and go to California as we have low prices and if she does live in her car lowest gas prices

Chelsea! This is one of your best deep dives yet. I had never heard of this girl but the layout and how you explained things without being biased kept me watching the whole way through.
You're amazing girl and I can't wait for the Brittney Dawn deep dive

At the end of the day it’s her choice, her life, her way of living, her money she chooses to spend on whatever. Her past is her past as well. We all do things differently, we can’t compare ourselves, our choices, our ways of handling things, to others. She had said herself that she never imagined that it would blow up they it did, she herself was surprised. I feel that she wants to leave everything behind, and start a new beginning, in a new city, also she doesn’t plan on living in the forever, that’s temporary. The cash app and PayPal, she has explained that it was because people wanted to help her, and many people it is the way they handle it, for trust issues. There are good people out there that like to bless others. And if she’s being blessed, that’s awesome for her.

I watched her “homeless” video because it was in my recommended and I’d just like to say that my ICK-dar immediately went off. None of this surprises me, but I’m glad you’re covering it!

*She's not homeless by choice, she's homeless because she threatened her grandmother with violence and so got kicked out they even changed the lock to the house, she's also homeless because she's burnt bridges with everyone she knows personally so she's lied about that also*

I’ve never heard of her, so I can say clearly with all certainty this was an unbiased piece of information. I still have no opinion on the girl one way or the other, other than I hope it reaches the ears of her subs. Good job Chelsea 🌶

As an AshLeigh can confirm I've known several guys named Ashley. I've never seen her videos but I'm glad you did a deep dive as you're a fair commentator ❣️ also I agree I was never in trouble with the law but I was stopped and questioned 3x when I was a teenager for being out after curfew and at 37 I still remember each incident. As a mom the thing that concerns me about her backstory is the way she treated her child. That's a pretty intense situation and I couldn't imagine leaving my own child for any reason especially when they were that young.

This girl popped up in my feed, abd at first I waa curious, but as I watched more content I saw the change quickly. I personally experienced being homeless and I stayed at people's houses bouncing around. Its not fun, and full of adventure. Its scary not knowing what's going to happen. I akso didn't go out shopping and go to Starbucks everyday abd sitting at a beach all day. I barely had money for food most days. She got money from people and changed her tune very quickly. It went from homeless living in car, too I choose to live in a car, and wanting to buy a van, and doing it by choice. She wastes people money on expensive hotels. Plus not to mention She wasn't truthful about her past. Obviously she didn't want people to find out she neglected a child. She is narcissistic, and completely manipulated people into believing her story. I know how hard it is to live pay check to paycheck and high rent, but she took donations from people, and still hasn't actually responded to people about the truth. She calls them haters, but its people calling her out on lies and deception. Its disgusting. She's a con artist who uses faith and her looks to get away with it. And she knows it. Her videos aren't about being homeless. It's garbage. She just shows california and plays music. I could keep going about this. I have been in a situation where I had no home, and this is just insulting to people that really are struggling.

I think you are spot on🎯 and appreciate you speaking on Ari with class and very respectful, we don’t know her personally and what she’s been through and we all handle our issues and problems differently, however, I don’t see any mother can just forget her son but I have never been in her shoes, I just try not to judge no one and never give money unless I know it’s 💯 legit.

I have been pulled over twice, both from pulling out of a lit parking lot and forgetting my headlights. I then also was in an accident when a teen on a bicycle cut a corner to cross the street right in front of me (rider was unharmed, front end of bike was bent, police determined bicyclist at fault due to no signal and crossing traffic in middle of the block). All happened over thirty years ago. I didn't know anything about this. Thank you for the video and all of the research, Chelsea.
