    Oh, some really nice latin riffs here, on which you executed with perfection. Very impressive reading these highly syncopated rhythms. This one is really fun. You're having fun and so are we.

      Hi David! It is very interesting to hear Latin rhythms, to play them, and to read them. I think all three things are finally starting to click, and it takes me a lot less time to read latin style jazz now. The Jobim book has been great for honing that skill!

      @@elenafortinmusic The only stone calypso piece I have ever done is Jester Hairston's "Mary's Boy Child." He writes in the rhythm; one need not guess. My wife, also a singer, decades ago did a master class with him as choir conductor, would go around to Unis; lovely man. He singled out my wife as a fine singer of the rhythm he taught, plus range and beauty. He told the choir, "We can sing this but fus't ya' gotta' get de ridem."
