Godzilla: Domination seriously looks like they remade the Neo-Geo game King of the Monsters but with an actual Godzilla license instead of a bunch of stand-ins. I approve. Also, whoever the insane genius is who got the task of "make a Lilo and Stitch" game and decided, "Metal Slug clone," that guy deserves the biggest raise... make him emperor of the world.
Bruce Lee Return of the Legend was a really awesome game and underrated. I think any gamer who’s a fan of the legendary martial artist should own and play this game. It’s the best Bruce Lee game.
I snatched Goodboy Galaxy on a whim this year, because the prospect of a GBA game coming out in 2024 was mesmerizing. I can confidently say that it is in my top 3 games of the year, without a shadow of a doubt. Came in blind, expecting a charming but simple platformer, but what I got instead was a brilliant puzzle-platformer with top-notch level design, really smart mechanics, devious secrets, wonderful visuals and a banging soundtrack. Could not put it down until 100% completion. If you need a comparison, it reminded me most of Wario Land 3's more open-ended approach to level design, but taken to the next level thanks to the extra power of the GBA, and 20+ years of hindsight. This is a must for every GBA fan. You can get the ROM (comes with an emulator and standalone, but also included the .CIA, in case you want to play it on your 3ds, like I did), but a Steam version is also coming out sometime later this year. Anyway, brilliant video, as always! Bruce lee's game looks quite up my alley! EDIT: You got me at Lilo & Stitch x Metal Slug
good boy and a good game, nothing more, nothing less. bored me seriously after prison break area, many good ideas but among all that, many flaws like enemy variety or looping areas, a lot of needles backtracking only to exchange some items with NPC's... that game is overrated IMO
My dad bought me my first gaming system and it was the OG GBA. My introduction to gaming and first game my dad bought me was a GBC game called DBZ: Legendary Super Warriors. Love that game
BEFORE YOU PREORDER THE GOODBOY GALAXY PHYSICAL: There have been lengthy delays(months) for the physical game with limited updates from First Press Games. If the physical games do ship, it will most likely take months to years. Just be sure to keep that in mind.
For some reason I remember a lot of GBA/DS licensed games being actually very solid titles. DBZ, Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings and Hamtaro were some of my highlights. I absolutely love how Mode 7 was utilized in almost every GBA game because every developer wanted to show off those graphics :D
Another one that was shockingly good was Astro Boy: The Omega Factor. Several people I know passed on it just because they didn't know much about Astro Boy and a little robot who runs around in his underwear didn't seem that appealing. Then it turns out to have not only butt-kicking gameplay (its kinda like Gunstar Heroes with brawler elements) but also has an actually good story? Yeah, underrated.
@@EdmondDantes224 astro boy omega factor is not underrated at all. its universally acclaimed by anyone whos ever touched it. it may fly under the radar, but it is certainly not underrated. if you can find me a review that says its anything less than exemplary, i'll eat my hat. sick game indeed. hard AF though, I font think i ever beat it. Im going back to it agter ive finished metroid fusion though, for sure.
The Legend is back with another banger 💥 Great selection! Goodboy Galaxy tho what a game! My type of game! I just bought it, it's cool because we get a cia file so we can play on the 3DS. I can't believe I haven't heard of it before. Also the Bruce Lee game is so much fun! Stay blessed!
I've since watched quite a few of your videos and seen you in front of the camera. Seems quite clear you're speaking your own thoughts. Thanks for your effort. I appreciate how you don't shy away from using words with negative connotations to criticize games. Too many people oversell the game quality. I am confident that your videos give me a strong sense of a game. Added dozens to my list thanks to you. Even 3 car based games which is a genre I avoid completely outside of 3D GTAs.
Me and my brother joke whenever we find a game on a console like GBA that we've never heard of (a system we've spent hours scrolling through the list of games for looking for new stuff to download) that it's a "brand new release" because it seems almost impossible to find stuff I haven't heard of before. Somehow TVGS always finds great looking games I've never heard of for GBA every time he makes a video on it. I'm genuinely starting to believe he changes reality to generate new games every time he makes a video. I mean just look at Bruce Lee game, I love Bruce Lee, how have I never heard of or seen that game?
That Bruce Lee game looks really fun! Also, I’m intrigued about Crazy Chase, and will definitely be giving that one a try! Another awesome episode man!
I LOVED Buu's Fury!! I was so hyped for it when it was announced and I still go back and play it every now and then. I had no idea there was a Godzilla game on GBA, it looks very fun!
Baldur's Gate Dark Alliance is such a good RPG on GBA! Imagine playing it back on the day on the go, it's like a fully fledged RPG on handheld. Simply amazing.
3:17 I think Return of the Legend got more in common with Datasoft's classic Bruce Lee, released for various computers in the 1980s. Of course it was simpler, but there was platforming, collecting items (lanterns) to open up new paths, fighting opponents (a ninja and a green sumo wrestler).
Ok so I did a Google image search of the thumbnail for this video and its a Deviantart image of Videl from Dragonball Z if anyone wanted to know. It was killing me 😂
Will check it out. Thanks for sharing. i played a Rainbow Six game for the GBC back in the day but it had left more of a "just want to get it over with" kind of impression on me.
I love the improvements Buu's Fury brought, only problem is it's way too easy. Also I personally don't like having to allocate stat points yourself. It means I have to pause the gameplay to THINK about where I want the points, as opposed to Legacy of Goku II where the points were dealt for you and you could just resume gameplay.
I just got a sealed copy of Dynasty Warriors GBA for £50. I wanna play it but same time might keep it sealed for a bit. I opened Sonic Advance 3 and playing through Phantasy Star Collection so that'll keep me busy for a bit for GBA fix. Its like being a kid again.
I appreciate your efforts! 🙏 Need some advice: 🙏 I found these words 😅. (behave today finger ski upon boy assault summer exhaust beauty stereo over). What is this? 🤔
Personally I like Lilo & Stitch 2 better than the first game, because it sports more experiments to play as. After playing the sequel, the first game's gameplay feels rather stiff and archaic in my opinion.
Does anyone happen to know what game the character in the thumbnail of this video represents? I was thinking it might have been an RPG and I can't seem to find it.
Ah yeah..Boulders Gate GBA is pretty much Diablo-lite.. its good fun but DO NOT marathon the game..you will burn out real fast like I did once. There is surprisingly alot of game in that little cart.
I'm absolutely certain that it can't be SFA. From wjat I can see, Character designs are taller, less animated and the fighting plane isn't flat. All these contrast with SF's design.
@@Renegaiden_ looks like guy vs guy in demo mode when you turn on the game, hence no life bars or super bars. I loaded up street fighter alpha 3 gba and it looks similar.

Nobody ever brings up dark alliance on gba
Such a shame.
I'm happy to hear you talk about it.
