I checked the disassembly video. Just seems like poor design choices or due to limited R&D. Once you remove the case, there's another case with lots of empty spaces protecting the motherboard and antenna lines. Plus the PCB runs along the whole body. The battery actually sits on top of PCB. Unlike regular phones where PCB housing the motherboard is on top. Also they have divided the battery into 2 2000 mAh blocks sandwiched on top of eachother (probably for better heat dissipation due to fast charging) And they also have put in a heat sink pipe as well. Nonetheless, seems like limited R&D that made this phone 16 mm thick

I'm short, and I have S22 Ultra, often when riding my bike the phone gets in the way of my hip joint, pressing the phone against my abs/obliques. I don't think I'd have that problem with this phone.
For those concerned about thickness, I run something similiar with an Iphone SE (2016) in a battery case. It hardly made the phone less usable or feel too different. It was still easier to maneuver than my 6+ inch device
Finally. A company that doesnt just follow the trend. I really love a small compact phone design but i am still not sold with this phone. Looking forward for further development tho

Personally, I find anything between 6 - 6.5 inches an ideal size for phone as it's a nice balance between in-hand feel and viewing experience because it's difficult to game on small screens. I got a Moto Edge 50 Neo for my Mom for around 250 dollars and it's definitely a really balanced phone. It has a 6.4 inch LTPO display which isn' t extremely compact, but it's definitely a Compact Phone for that price. It has the same processor, and has great cameras too. 32 mp selfie, 50 mp main with OIS (LYT 700), a 13 mp Ultrawide and a 10 mp 3x telephoto with OIS which is extremely great for the price and it's the only phone that supports 4k 30fps video recording with all the lenses but it only supports lens switching at 1080p 30 fps (while Moto Edge 50 supports Lens Switching at 4k but my mother wanted a smaller phone). It weighs just 170 grams and is even IP 68 rated and supports 68W wired and 15W wireless charging. I am completely satisfied with my purchase 🥰
It would behoove Unihertz to explore licensing an original Blackberry keyboard, and including it on their new qwerty. Both for quality and familiar character and symbol layout.
The design is one of a kind too. Maybe its smaller size and aesthetics could be combined together in the future. It looks thick, but I support manufacturers who produce smaller phones. It's about time.
Unihertz, please look into making a Jelly phone with a slide-out keyboard, maybe similar to that of the Palm Pre or Pantech Pursuit/Pursuit 2. I think it would be pretty useful, unique, and it'd be a fun throwback for the folks who grew up on cellphones with slide-out keyboards. I'd totally buy it Maybe you could call it the Jelly Slide? 🤣
