You'll only hear it if you believe that your works and turning from sin is getting you to heaven. Jesus is the only way we get to heaven. Nothing else. There's not a thing in this world we can do that will get us into heaven except believe in him and what he did.

He did it for us. He loves us despite our failures. Its hard to even imagine how perfect and loving of a creator he is. He knew you before you knew yourself. Trust him. If the issue is porn, (which I know it's awkward for a stranger to pry at something so personal but I struggled too) fasting and prayer is how I broke free from it thanks to God. But God isn't going to take every temptation from you, daily prayer and bible reading is always suggested for growing in your conviction and discipline as well. Always get back up when you fall, lest you keep Jesus waiting.

As a Gen Z Christian this hits hard. Not only does it sadden me that many will perish because of the deception(s) and because of the evil that is so rampant in society but weve had the answer for 2000 years right in front of us and yet we continue with the same mistakes and the same sins. How could I judge previous generation's if it has only become easier to sin and harder to serve the will of our Father. Even now I recognize that Ive lived a worldly life rather than one in Christ so Im glad something like this showed up on my feed. It helps to remind and to provoke not just me but to those around, for our duty is not just to ourselves but to loved ones and strangers alike, to spread the Truth in the Gospels of Christ (He is the Only way to God). If you have true faith in him and are striving to follow him daily by repenting and entering into a covenant with him through baptism, and enduring till the end you will enter into the kingdom of God.
Don’t forget the context of the verse. Jesus was speaking that to the Pharisees that believed that their works were solely enough to get them into Heaven with our Lord and Savior Christ Jesus. It’s not about what you do, it’s about what He’s done on the cross for our sins, so that by you believing in Him, you receive God’s grace, salvation, and forgiveness for your sins. The work is finished. Now go, love your neighbor and sin no more.

this verse was referring to the people who think that their own actions will get them into Heaven. Instead, Jesus died on the cross and took all the punishment we deserve in order for us to get to Heaven. Heaven is a free gift and a promise from God to us. Just trust in Jesus.

If you already placed your faith in Jesus Christ, don't worry, you are saved for eternity and you will have eternal life. Also, do not expect that Christ will make everything easy for ya, you will still struggle so that you will depend on Him more and more and your relationship will deepen overtime. If you have intrusive thoughts, do not worry, they are not your thoughts but from the devil trying to attack you spritually (even I experienced and struggled with it). If the issue is porn, (which I know it's awkward for a stranger to pry at something so personal but I struggled too) fasting and prayer is how I broke free from it thanks to God. But God isn't going to take every temptation from you, daily prayer and bible reading is always suggested for growing in your conviction and discipline as well.
Always get back up when you fall, lest you keep Jesus waiting.
