    I just wanted to mention, I’ve had a drone for about a year now, and I’ve been spending a lot of time over the last several months watching tutorials on getting better footage and whatnot. I’ve noticed that I’ve gradually narrowed down the list of channels to just a few, and yours seems to be the one I’m enjoying the most. I really appreciate your presentation style, as well as the topics you cover. I’m learning a lot, and using my drone more and more to practice what I’m learning. Please keep doing what you’re doing, the way you’re doing it. I’m sure I’m not the only one that is benefiting tremendously from the content you’re providing us with, and having a ton of fun with the process. Just wanted to take a moment to say thanks!

      Austin you made my day brother. I work 7 days per week on these playful little tutorials. Super passionate about sharing the joy i get from these little flying bastards. I’m working hard to make this a full time income so I can travel to better locations and even collaborate with some of my creative mentors so I can make better content.
      Congrats on your journey with these flying creation machines!

    I can't imagine you flying two drones at once in an airspace that looks like it is filled with hazards, e.g. trees and power wires, and taking some difficult shots at the same time. How did you pull that off? Beyond that, you packed a great deal of food for thought in a short video. Thank you for your effort.

    • @djskillzz215
      @djskillzz215 11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yeah, seems like the way he did it, was to not really fly both at once... Mini 2 was only used for 1 particular shot and stayed in place, while the Mini 3 Pro was used to capture all the action and for moving around and panning purposes... then just hit RTH on Both when done.... Pause when both are close, then land them 1 by 1...

    Ted, I wanted to congratulate and thank you on your last several videos. You have removed the cursing and yet you are even more educational, humorous and helpful. You've lost nothing and gained improvement, story telling and for those of us who are distracted by cursing, you help us out and bring us joy. The other part of the audience does not miss it so this is a win-win-win. I thank you sincerely for all you do.

      Danny I listened to your advice. And thanks for the kind words about my episodes lately. Man I’m really trying hard to make this TH-cam thing my full time income. But theres just so many talented people on TH-cam now its really hard to get views if you’re not pitching the latest gear. It’s hard to get people to click on a video about lighting or composition! F**k!……ha kidding.
      Thanks for being a valuable part of the community here.

    • @DannyFyffe
      @DannyFyffe 11 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      @@TedNemeth Ted: I'm sure you have figured out that TH-cam is a game. If they favor you, they will feed views to you. if they don't, you can't get ahead. I can say this and I'm blowing nothing up your skirt. you deserve many more thousands of views than you get. Your content is A+. What you give for free has value and I would like to say if you hang on you'll get paid, but sadly, you are right. The gear review guys who get all of it for free are promoted selling snake oil and lies. So what do you do? If you love what you do, you'll keep doing it. So I know you'll continue as you can't fake what you bring. I have my own small channel and it covers the things I like. If I did it for money or views, I would have stopped a decade ago, but I do it because I enjoy it. Wish I had better news for you. Oh well, I will keep looking and watching and recommending. Take care and happy travels.

    Ted. First I want to say that I really do enjoy your videos and your wonderful take on the art of cinematography. I appreciate your point of view and your unique take on the art behind using the flying camera that is a drone. You have a fresh and unique perspective that we all need to see.
    I need to say though, that for me, your message for this video was lost when your started flying two drones at the same time. As a Part 107 remote pilot I know that is against the law as it violates Section 107.35 Operation of multiple small unmanned aircraft. That section states that “A person may not manipulate flight controls or act as a remote pilot in command or visual observer in the operation of more than one unmanned aircraft at the same time.”
    I firmly believe that it is the responsibility of all content creators that are flying drones to obey the laws and not risk ruining the sport and art off of flying drones for the rest of us. I love your content and want to see you continue, but breaking the law and posting a video of you doing so is not sending the best message to your viewers. Because you do it, people will think they can do it as well, and someone will get in trouble with the FAA because of it eventually, even if you don't.
    Your footage for this video could have still been caught if you just added a second remote pilot to the mix to capture the video from the second camera. That would have had the same result, but stayed within the bounds of the law.

      right on! we have chosen a very complicated hobby. If we want to actually improve the footage we have to intentionally keep simplifying everything to keep focus on practicing the craft itself.
      So guys LOVE buying accessories and getting lost in all the specs and settings. That’s their thing so they enjoy that particular aspect of the hobby. Everyone is different. But for me….I love the challenge of crafting better footage with lighting, subject, storytelling.
      Cameras are just tools to help achieve that.

    Ted, again and again: I cannot pronounce enough how valuable your content is especially for beginners. If people looked for drone content on TH-cam the last few weeks they probably didn't get rid of the feeling that more than 90 % of the content are about all the nice new features of the DJI Mini4 Pro. But let's be honest: in the light of your tutorials about cinematography most of these features become so overestimated. And let's face it: if we watch a drone video, we don't see if it was made whether with the Mini2, Mini3, Mini4 . But what we see is good or bad videos. And the outcome barely depends on the technical aspects of our flying cameras. Ted, keep enlightening us👍🏼

      Nancy! this is amazing. Nate gives very thoughtful advice. He goes more into the psychology of why channels grow. I kinda have a parallel to that with my content. I focus less on gear and specs and more on the art of how to creating better footage.

      But I am a big fan of the Foresty Forest channel, and he is a master of drone photography from mountain tops in the beautiful Canadian Rockies.
      If I can do something with drones even 1/1000 as well as he does it, I will be totally satisfied.

    You have a wonderful and entertaining way of imparting new knowledge that you have gained to others. Well at least to me for sure.
    I was wondering what I was going to do with my Mini 3 Pro now that I have purchased the Mini 4 Pro. Previously when I had purchased a new DJI Mini I would pass on the previously one to one of my adult children so that they and their kids could experience the joys of flying these little mini drones. I have run out of Mini recipients. This video has convinced me that it would be a good idea to keep two minis for myself as one never knows when a shot requires more than one mini. yes! the old man and the sewing machine is amazing. The total destruction and despair when flooding like that hits a poor village….yet that old man seems to have a truly genuine smile. I love that shot.
      And the other shot you mentioned is EXACTLY the other shot I was studying. Look at how perfectly the steam stays low and doesn’t block the subjects and the Taj so perfectly faded yet present in the background. That took tremendous skill and patience and probably weeks of trial and error. Thanks for sharing Jaroslav.
