I was expecting Jorbs to simply use the power of bonk to win but then he pulled out a sneaky infinite towards the end. Great run!
7:20 is the PERFECT example of why you might not want demon form, articulated in as blunt of a way as possible. This game just keeps on surprising me XD
Me wondering why he got rid of what seemed to be the best card "heavy blade" in a deck with 3 demon forms - , then I see 37:30 and the fact that he was able to calculate that so far ahead...mind blown!
He had dropkick and flash of steel when he removed it. At that point it is just counting how many cards stay in the deck after you play them, eg. powers go out of the deck, and so do exhaust cards, which is all the skills when you have corruption. So really in this case you just have to count the the attacks that don't exhaust. if you count 4 cards not part of the combo, that don't get out of your deck, you can go infinte.
After determining it is possible to go infinite, you have to make sure you can do it in a timely fashion. In this case, mumified hand helped getting the powers deployed, and dark embrace + corruption meant that getting through all the skills would also go fast.
Lastly, heavy blade isn't that great. It's a lot of damage once your strength is stacked up, but by that time most fights are won, and you are looking to feed, play reaper, and play hand of greed. Basically it looks really impressive when it does 120 damage, but if the enemy only had 80 hit points, your strength is so high you could do 40 damage with a strike, it is kind of just like playing 2 strikes in 1 card (which is still much better than strike, but still super impressive). Even without the infinate, I still think heavy blade was in the buttom half of cards in his deck.
This game really is a card counters paradise. Works so well
such a clean run..gosh..ending with full health, in style with 100+ block, even if you had to fight 3 more hearts after that you would still win..

There's something oddly endearing about having an infinite combo, but only needing to cycle through it once because of the heart's damage cap and your 50+ strength.
