Hi William, I moved to Jomtien last year and absolutely love it. It has everything that i need close by. It's also affordable, safer, and quieter than Pattaya. A quick 10 minute ride into the city, and you have malls, hospitals, and anything else that you need.

We have been going to Mexico for years and paying lots more for an apartment. Would consider this but would like your suggestions for beginners. thanks We really enjoy sharing your travels
I keep telling my husband that Mexico in is expensive these days and maybe be he might consider moving someplace different. Thailand is far away but so if you don't plan on it or want to come back to to the states, why not try Thailand. It's good to to keep options open.

We were there for Xmas week and then hopped over to Japan for new years. Loved Thailand. Everything was so inexpensive and people were so kind and friendly. We spent a lot of time at Nai Yang. Such a chill place.

Better live there in the winter than swden or from Canada. Have been watching you for three years. With the crazy prices in Canada it is difficult to retire. Even Mexico is expensive. I spent a few months in 2023 in Jomtien and it's a great place. I'd suggest heading down to Rayong for a few days. My monthly rental was somewhat larger than yours and it was $280 per month.
Wow William, things look amazing there. I think you found your long term headquarters/homebase. I know I always tell you to come back home to Mexico. But man Thailand is incredible. Great clip! About restaurants and street vendors. I lived in Brasil for 15 years and you really get bored with eating out! We are simple people. We get tiered of eating out! Sometimes we want to make simple food in our house or appartment. Bred, milk and whatever on the bread! Fry up som meat, boil potatos and pig out on condiments! ... Lol
Another vey nice video William. Hard to conceive how inexpensive things are there, better than Mexico and generally, depending on the location, much cleaner. Man, those rents for those nice apartments are so inexpensive. Here in San Diego I pay as much or more annualized on just my property taxes. I own a condo in Jomtien and its a 30 second walk to the beach and it's basically a private beach cause no one knows about it besides my neighbours (obviously) I will be packing up shop in Australia soon and moving my family there. Legit paradise.
