It's a water lizard. There are a total of 6 species in Thailand. They are close relatives of the Komodo dragon. 😊🐲🐊🦖

I’m up the road in Pattaya and it’s as good as it looks. First time ever leaving the states and came here for 3 weeks. $900 round trip plane tickets, and I’m at The Edge Pattaya for like $65 a night in the top floor looking at the ocean at 2:30am with a 10/10 girl next to me that just fell asleep hahaa! Best food on earth here too. Buy a ticket, best thing you’ll ever do I promise

I wonder why the asparatme is so bad, the sweetner. I read some information about it but it seems like they say it is not harmful anymore
Dr. here said that you have to drink about 10 liters a day to have any problems with the sweetner

Oh yes Jomtiem is much more laid back than Pataya, much quieter as I've read. So where to next William? I'm guessing Phucket as there are some nice islands there and I imagine the snorkeling is excellent.
You might consider taking scuba classes and becoming certified. Maria also. I did it in Junior College and so glad I did. My last dive was on an island off the coast of Belize and what a wonderful day it was.
Shoot I had not put on the tanks in 17 years but having lettered in both swimming and water polo, I'm comfortable in the water.

I spent a year in Thailand, honestly you don't want to go where William is now as it's not nearly the best, you want to go down south to any of the Islands or up North to Chiang Mai/Pai/Chiang Rai, etc... so beautiful and amazing!

Not a crocodile but an Asian water monitor. It can grow till very big but not huge. You can always find them at the swamp, ponds, rivers or reservoirs.

There are foreigners In Jomtien but more then tourists you will find expats there, especially because it is such a quiet place.
As for running, if I were you I would do that at sunrise or sunset on the beach....
