@@djdemaster8802 Lol, when I do it, I'm just going to save up for a new one because I am doing completionist mode. (Not for the one on my channel for the one on my DS)
I've beaten this game twice and I never knew that attacking from the side deals more damage than from the front lol. Also congrats on sub 2, which was lower than your SoB at the start od the run
Thanks for watching! Conquest is not a very good speedgame in the traditional sense - your skill at the game won't always be rewarded because of the intense RNG involved in the run. It is satisfying to run, though, because it is a very easy game to complete runs. It is a marathon-safe run with just a save before Lapras, and the No Passwords route skips that, so if you just wanna relax and play the game through the route you can do it anytime - albeit sometimes losing up to 20 minutes compared to PB. Conquest also rewards routing a lot, and also routing on the fly. When making the route I went through every single battle over 100 times to map out each AI encounter, and even then sometimes I get scenarios wich I didn't account for, wich make me route on the fly and makes the experience that much more thrilling. On the other hand, sometimes the AI positioning requires some out of the box movement from your part, making routing this game a very fulfilling experience. I tried routing Two Heroes of Ransei after I got my PBs in the two main categories. I ultimately stopped it because it was shaping to be a 40+ hour run (each one of the 20 required chapters were going to be between 1.5~3 hours long). Then I considered doing a segmented run, but our leaderboards don't allow those, so ultimately I put the project down for a while. I still plan on tackling those problems in the future, maybe when more runners get involved with the game.
RideLith thanks for your reply! something that seemed weird to me though was the individual chapters, which from my experience can be cheesed really quickly with the guardian charm (by invading multiple times every month, each time using 1 mon with the charm). do they take that long even with it?
Couldn't find a way to get it reliably yet, but it definitely is a routing option for some chapters. The problem isn't much the fighting chapters, as those can be cheesed with guardian charm and other mechanics, it's the capture 100 pokés and recruit warrior chapters.
Also recruiting is possible by having the other Pokémon not deal damage. So Pokémon like Magikarp and Munna will always be recruited unless defeated by a status or a non-attack
I seem to recall you knowing of some TAS of this game in the past, but I can't find it now. Do you still know where it is? And is there any sort of datamine or discovery of the various formulae in the games? For instance, is link directly included in the damage formula to justify both HP and Defense, or is Attack just a better stat, and what's the formula for accuracy?
Jolteon needs to be in that position to hit both drifblim and misdreavus, and I used Courage early to finish off Misdreavus quickly, so that it couldn't flinch any Pokémon later on in the fight.
Ok so I start my first run (I can't get an internal capture card so rip that) and I get flinched 100% of the time... and I got burnt in Ignis too. Oh well I'm just testing how Muneshige fares in No Codes Any% so why not
bryce hoen The problem with pushing much better times with this game is that the route starts to get much more dependant on key critical hits and unlikely AI scenarios. The japanese TAS for this game is a little over 1:10, over 40 minutes faster than this run, but it includes strats that are less than 1% likely to happen in almost every castle. The grind starts to get unreasonable.
As a filthy casual I loved this game. So fun
Just watched the whole thing. Thanks a lot for doing the post commentary on this run, explaining so much.
One day, I swear I am going to contest this amazing run! This is one of my favorite games, would love to speedrun it!
Same man. I just need a) a capture card and b) the willpower to delete my file of 120 hours to do it xD

Dude this run is insane! Keep up the incredible work!
Always thought this game had really nice artwork. Great video.

amazing job! insane timesave from your previous run.
I wanna try this someday!
Route/guide are linked on the description. You can DM me on twitter or discord if you have any questions about how to get started. Good luck!
Oh wow. It’s Espik. Didn’t expect to see you here lol
nice video, thanks for making it
what's your opinion on conquest as a speedgame? like would you recommend it?
what are your thoughts on two heroes%?
Thanks for watching!

This was really interesting. Great video and commentary
Very informative! Great job! I love this game.
This was beautiful, nice work!

Do u fond it ?
I did not.
I can’t remember why, but I never evolved Eevee in this game. I didn’t know how good Jolteon is
I prefer Vaporeon.
Why did he use courage so early in Spectra, he could have gone right through his lapras and gallade???
Jolteon needs to be in that position to hit both drifblim and misdreavus, and I used Courage early to finish off Misdreavus quickly, so that it couldn't flinch any Pokémon later on in the fight.
Thanks for the commentary

DJdeMaster Getting flinched and burned is the major cause of resets in the first split.
Does the DS capture card work with Windows 10? It doesn’t say
Weter 23 I use it with Windows 8.1, no clue if it works with 10, sorry.
Well, at least I have a GoPro. Better than nothing.
Best game ever
Good run, but I feel like this game still has a lot more development possible

Has anyone found anything about RNG manipulation for this game?
Also, where's the TAS? I never saw tool assisted anything with Conquest.
That sure was fast
