Nice review. Any mention on pricing when it comes here to Ireland? I suspect it will be more than the seal given the size which would be unfortunate as the seal is overpriced in my opinion.
@@CompletecarIe it would be good if you were right on that but based on the performance seal being 51k and the model below being around 46k I can't see this being under 50k given its a more in demand size of vehicle for the Irish markets. Time will tell I suppose.
@@noobemu that doesn't sound too bad considering it's extra size over the seal. In Ireland we get badly hit on taxes with cars so we generally seem to pay more than our European neighbours. Time will tell.

Why don’t manufacturers tell us when vehicles are arriving in Ireland at these press launches? Also you didn’t mention the capacity of the boot in litres so we can compare with other makes.
Often the exact dates aren't set when we get an early opportunity to drive these cars. Production and shipping schedules can also be a factor. Boot space is 552 litres, expanding to 1,440 litres.

Re people hating SUVs, I understand if it is a big ICE guzzler but for if it is an EV like the Kia EV9 for instance then surely the hatred is based on disliking the shape or what they perceive them to represent. I drive an old MPV, it's the same size as an SUV in footprint and has a dirty old diesel engine. I've never seen anyone calling for MPVs to be banned or small 3l petrol sports cars. There is a real irrational hatred of SUVs going on. There are many benefits to them. Decent boot, often 7 seats, good visibility, decent in rainy weather etc

BYD is the best EV car
It was our first impression based on a short drive. We'll be doing a more in-depth review later this year.
Hello, do you think the price of the plug-in hybrid version will be above or below the pure electric version?
It will depend on each country, but in Ireland the PHEV could possibly be more expensive.
Does anyone know the real world fuel consumption?
Eg Rav4 AWD 4.8L / 100 kms but actual is more like 5+
Yes, we'll be covering it in our latest review video which goes out on Monday morning.
can u specify the ground clearance in mm?
seal is 145mm
this is a SUV, Song Plus in china. Totally different from seal

BYD SEAL U OR SONG L?
Song L looks sportier, but Seal U will be a hit with families we think

I heard 300 mm when it fist came out. but I think it is 200 mm slightly higher than the seal but nor really an off road beast.
