    Thank you, great hints & tips, really useful that you have made most of them. My favourites are the Yantas & Heyday patterns. Will go & check them out & then make my decision which to buy.😊

    I’m a senior heading back to childhood. I’ve made 7 pairs of Heyday dungarees in a variety of materials from wool to cotton to denim to home dec fabric. They’re so comfy and I get compliments on them all the time. Love your collection.

      @@debsmadethis it took me a couple of goes to get the fit I liked on the yanta, as I didn't want a side fastening. But the heydays are just lovely and slouchy I am just making a 3rd pair 😊

    1st consciously chosen dungarees was aged 13, green courdoroy. Thanks mum who liked dresses and rolled her eyes about WWII landgirl style in the 70's but bought them anyway and I wore them to death. Over 60 now and known for my Becci bags aka dungarees. Fav pair at the moment are 2nd hand denim hello kitty with pink gingham lining, so the inevitable peeking out looks cool.
    Your vlog came up cos I'm about to make some posh linen ones for aussie summer outings. Happy dunging (new word, Shakespeare would be proud) ❤ and smiling re sister's encouragement ignored, just do sewing swapsies, you get new cushions.

      @@debsmadethis no idea yet, hence trawling youtube for ideas. I don't usually comment but you made me laugh aha another dungy nutter😉 plus I'm an ex pat, who apparently can't spell corduroy, well it was past midnight and still over 36°c 97°f 🤣. I don't tend to use patterns, either copying already owned or adapting. Ideas so far, waisted bibs are useful but not for classy yet casual look on my middleaged tree trunk, so slimish straight, internal side pockets, pleated ankle cuffs for a subtler harem look. Top strap fastenings and armhole length still clueless. Just bought an old singer tuck foot so mulling over top details....omg just worked it out whilst typing this, brilliant and double double thank you 🥰. Cut wide, pin tuck horizontally from top to give shape, stop somewhere flattering 🤣 to be decided. Thus still leaving loose baggyish legs. Cheers me dear. Now to make a mock up as I'm using 1 vintage curtain, flowery front, beige backing....that's another problem to be solved. Typical, can't do things the easy way and just buy some, that's too boring 🤣!

      Where would be the fun in just buying them ?😁 😂
      The pleats sound a fab way to manipulate the volume. Love how our brains work out the details .. do you do instagram ? these sound worth seeing!

    Oooh I’d be interested in your thoughts on the yantas vs heydays. I agonised between the two and ended up going with the heydays when w&w had one of their brilliant sales. I haven’t made them yet (never enough hours for my to sew list!) but hope to get to them towards the end of the summer.

    Really helpful video, thanks for this. Love dungers. About to make the Pablo, I am also short waisted, so your comments were really helpful. Going to look at the yandas, they look right up my street. Will be interested to see what you think of the burnsides as well.

      @debsmadethis  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks Jane. Super! I did some scribbling around the Pablo's this weekend and decided the best way might be to redraft the bib to the correct height once I'd got the waist right! The designer is releasing a wrap trouser with a bib shortly too.
