Ok let me tell you
1. Goku is a good dad he not only died once but twice for gohan
2. Goku knew how strong gohan was in the cell saga he even admit that he can't beat cell but gohan can and he was right
3. In the Bojack movie (takes place after the cell saga but not canon but still) goku was dead after saving gohan from cell then goku literally left heaven to save gohan from bojack
I can list more but im gonna be a yapper so watch some videos of how goku isn't a bad dad
