Anxiety turning Riley's imagination into an animation sweatshop where joy isn't allowed has so much symbolism that I'm glad Disney didn't cut out. I doubt they're that self-aware.
Anxiety could have easily been just a normal villain that the emotions have to defeat. But instead, she's just a natural force that they have to learn to live with so that Riley can truly grow.
Which is the right thing to do. Anxiety is an emotion, when it takes over that's when it becomes a disorder. We shouldn't get entirely rid of it because we need some extent of anxiety to help us plan for the future (we don't plan if we don't care and we don't care if we don't worry) It's the same with Sadness from the previous movie. It shouldn't take over because that's depression but it also shouldn't be erased because forcing ourselves to be happy all the time is also bad for mental health.
The "I'm not good enough" moment, I'm sorry, it hit SO HARD. My heart broke. Anxiety isn't a bad thing, it's a normal emotion. But when it takes control of everything, it's pathological. Hello Screen Junkies team! First off, I love your channel and the way you bring humor and delve into the world of TV and film, especially in ways that get fans excited about hidden gems or underrated shows. I'm reaching out to you because there's a series that I think your audience might love, but not many people know about: Siren. Siren is a unique blend of mystery, fantasy, and drama, with a focus on mermaids and mythology. It aired from 2018 to 2020 and built a passionate fanbase, but unfortunately, it was cancelled before it could wrap up all of its stories. I'm part of a movement of fans who are campaigning for the show to come back, and we think it has the potential to find a much larger audience, especially if more people knew about it. Your Honest trailers and deep dive videos are fantastic for getting people interested in shows they may not have considered before, and Siren would be perfect for something like this. The show combines elements of Buffy the Vampire Slayer and The X-Files, with a modern twist of mythological creatures, environmental issues, and human drama. I truly believe that if more people knew about it, they would get hooked, and your channel could be key to sparking that interest. Would you consider making a video to introduce Siren to your audience, or even making an honest trailer about the show? Not only would it help us drum up support for bringing the show back, but it would also introduce a fantastic series to fans who love the kind of content you usually cover. Thank you so much for your time, and I hope you'll consider giving Siren the attention it deserves! Best regards, [sincerely, a fan who is also interested in Siren's return

We'll miss you James Earl Jones.
I laughed out so loud in the cinema at the sar-chasm bit that everyone looked at me.
No mention that Riley went to an ice hockey camp and was the only white person there lol
Dont feed the alt right gators.
We all want to finally stop to having to listen their constant whining over “forced diversity” “CRT” and “DEI” good lord people go outside and touch grass sometime.
Huh? 99% of the kids were white.
Well, it's San Francisco.
She went to an ice hockey camp in San Francisco, California. I'm pretty sure I saw a few white characters in the background, but of course the camp in the majority minority city isn't going to have a ton of white characters in it.
Edit: I watched the movie, and one of Val's other friends was blonde and white.

Best regards,
[sincerely, a fan who is also interested in Siren's return
Regardless of how good Inside Out 2 is, I hate how much brainrot has attached itself to this film.
"The 🏄🏼♀️ in Kentucky. " I love that quote.

0:55 They tried. Oh boy, they tried until they had to reverse course at the last moment.
The most realistic feeling that Riley could have for Valentino is admiration. It's something everyone has at her age.

Lol yaas, I wanted to see this in cinemas but I didn’t get around to it. Can’t wait til this comes on Disney +
Ironically I had a therapy session where we talked about my overflowing anxiety. This movie nails it.
The message of existential dread is best delivered in an upbeat and excited voice, of course. ;)
