It's funny cause I found Tulin to be the most useful, that kid headshots everything that even looks at me.
Yeah I like his power too, it's repeatable in the air giving you more speed and overall distance. The 30' leap thing was neat but I don't think it was as good for travel.. little redundant with Ascension anyway... But it's more useful for boss headshots. W/e
Also his ghost is tiny and doesn't take up half the goddamn screen when I'm trying to aim.
@@pyroavok his ghost fits in like 99% of caves, he has like 95% uptime giving head
Shots all the time.
he the best
His only problem is blowing all your Loot off a cliff. But Yonobo would have blown it up anyway.
Every time someone mentions that Zelda is missing, I'm like oh yeah I knew there was something I was supposed to be doing.
Bro I have like 40+ hours innthe cake now and I'm only on my 2nd temple because I've been exploring and filling out all levels of my map 🤣🤣
zelda gimme those peach vibes altho just like peach she capable but still get captured or disappears but ig Nintendo gotta make money somehow
As someone who went to all the geoglyph memories before doing much of the story missions, every time someone mentions that Zelda is missing, I'm like "so yeah, about that..."
(just gonna leave it there to avoid spoilers)
But apparently Link just doesn't want to tell anyone what he's learned from the memories
This game basically says, "Yeah I'll let it slide" and I love it so much
Everytime the game asks me to hit a target with a big ball and I just use a bomb arrow instead.
"Close enough."
“This is not how Nintendo wanted you to play the game.”
Meanwhile Nintendo gives you a shrine with a madmax car to run over all the enemies.
@@Confron7a7ion7 I did it another way. I attached the big ball to other items that have length and touched the target with the ball using ultrahand so I could use recall to force the ball to hit the target which somehow worked
The multiple ways to solve shrines is fun
Except for duplication tricks, that is
It's like playing a DnD game and the DM encourage crazy hijinks.
Honestly the other sages should function like Tulin where you just press A while gliding. Riju press A with your bow out, Sidon while holding your shield (overlaps with parry though), and Yunobu while aiming to throw
This is actually a pretty good idea!
I wish someone mods this in
Or they should have changed down from horse whistle to a selectable menu with champion abilities and the horse too ofc
@@gavinjones ye I think that's the best option
@@gavinjonesi think it would have been better if they replaced the map option in the scroll wheel to select a sage.
Okay. But can we talk about how the first king of Hyrule is legit a goat man and is married to a Hylian Human woman, AND HAS DECENDANTS
We've seen humans cross breed with other fantasy species all the time, and nobody gives a hoot about that.
The Gerudo breed outside their species ALL THE TIME lol, they'd have gone extinct if they had to wait for that rare Gerudo male to be born, worse yet when it's usually another Ganondorf
So what you're saying is, the first King of Hyrule was the GOAT?
@@KeithFraser82 literally 😂
Sufficiently advanced genetic engineering is indistinguishable from Furaffinity.
I like having the spirit dudes fighting with me. The map is so big, yet I feel much less alone. It's like having your own party for the game.
True, only issue is actually finding the right one to click mid fight 😂
During initial planning for "The Legend of Zelda 3," the developers intended to make it like a JRPG, with a full party instead of just Link running around alone. Obviously it didn't work out back then, but having the spectral party members in Tears of the Kingdom is a resurrection of that idea. They really like to go back to and use old ideas and concepts that didn't make the cut previously. I like that they keep all the old concept art and lots of notes on ideas and stuff, just in case it is useful in the future.
yes! I love how often I can just, like, run around a minor fight and let them do it for me, or when tulin nabs a stalkoblin out of the blue that i wasn't aware of
@@striderfairchild8647 in my case, I have to remember that i can even use their abilities in a fight in the first place :P
I almost never use anyone except Tulin, but I do like having friends.
The only complaint I have is the champion abilitys. Like the shadow versions are fine I guess but let us use their abilities without having to click on them. Most of the time when I wanna use them I can’t find the one I want.
yea. they really nailed it with the "only downgrade from the previous game" i dont even keep any of them active ever except Tulin. they get in the way, its always more trouble than its worth to try and use during combat since you will rarely get the one you want. just turn them all off except Tulin.
@@scottcaligiuri5410 I love Yunobo's ability for getting zonite
@@scottcaligiuri5410 sidon's ability is amazing when paired with the lightscale trident, but it's a pain having to chase him down to use it
@@NoNo-567 unless you don’t wanna use a bow, Riju’s is better for that too, since her lightning doesn’t send the ore flying all over
@@ShizukuMizuchi1 that’s the worst one in the game. The lightning circle thing moves so slow that it makes it pointless to do it in combat. + the fact that you have to constantly track them down, it just makes it pointless
This might be the first time Link isn't called Zelda in the starring.
Also, I'm surprised they didn't include torturing Koroks in this. 😂
Nintendo invoked the Geneva Convention on the Korok torture footage. 😆🃏
Apparently launching kororks isn't torturing them. 3:26
@@mattwo7 The first Korok to go to space, he's clearly helping them to advance in their space program
@@mattwo7 lmao. I missed that part. Thanks for noting me 😂
I tink the same.
"How dare you advertise our game for free!" -Nintendo, probably.
I mean that's basically what they've done so far?
Okay but Tulin's random headshots are hilarious and helpful (especially in Lynel fights), and why do you need a once per day 30 ft rise when rocket shield exists? The "nerfs" are actually just good design with the other game changes in mind.
Rockets are a pain to gather
@@Merlincat007 Attach a bomb to a shield and get nearly the same effect.
@@Merlincat007 Just drop a crap ton of Zonai charges into a dispenser that includes rockets. You'll get like 30 of them in a single min.
I'd be inclined to agree if the absence of Mipha's Grace didn't kick in every time I tried to do something with a rocket that failed more spectacularly than intended.
Then again, my addiction to obnoxious Ultrahand builds is a me problem, not a game problem.
Cuz rockets are rare as hen's teeth.
I am now exclusively referring to Ganondorf as "GanonDILF" now. We need more "Ganondilf", Epic Voice Guy!
Oh come on, Ganon coming back in this one wasn't Zelda's fault, her and Link just had VERY bad timing on exploring below the castle
Or perfect timing, from a certain point of view
"Exploring below the castle"? Is that what the kids are calling it these days?
@@tymmezinni As a follow-up question, if the guy is having trouble, does he say that it's just because the princess is in another castle?
In hindsight after collecting the past scenes, I think the idea is Rauru tagged out when he sensed their approach thinking that it’d go fine. …It didn’t go fine.
@@MagnificantSasquatch
A floating, green, disembodied hand tagging out after 10,000 years sounds about right. It also puts Zelda’s 100 years to shame.
I didn't think I'd ever live in a timeline where Ganondorf is described as sexy.
In my honest defense... He was always pree sexy to me ever since Ocarina of Time.
He lost a lot of weight, and ripped up!
You've been living in one at least since OoT
As far as I remember, he used to be a pig? Like in zelda 2 the adventure of Link game over screen he was chuckling at ya.
So you have never played Hyrule Warriors, got it.
Wind Waker Ganondorf can also get it.
ganondilf, fursona royale, and sidon my face were the highlight of my day. this was so fucking hilarious
Can’t forget about guy trieri 😂
The highlight for me was "Sorry, princess. I know you're lost in time or whatever, but I'm advancing Hyrule's _space program_ over here" and the "downstairs skies." 😃😃
We need to see you roast the gollum game.
You want them to suffer that nightmare?
That PS2 game has next gen graphics, idk what you're talking about
@@DgardsGaming someone needs to make the sacrifice.
Bruh I've spent most of the time building war machines to liberate the lands of hyrule
Now I truly feel American 😂
Just remember, ordinance overkill is simply making sure the job is done right the first time.
🎶Hyrulica, F YEAH comin in time to save the mf'ing day yeah... 😊
Liberty Prime Vibes intensify...
Link is gonna build a wall and he is gonna make the Lynels pay for it
You build war machines to liberate Hyrule, I build war machines to wipe all koroks off the face of the earth. We are not the same.
Riju's ability really is kind of insane. It's an AOE that smites everything you point it at like the hand of God, the cooldown is super short, it can be used underground, instantly kills most enemies, briefly stuns those it doesn't and makes them drop their weapons, and all it costs you is an arrow, which this game is much more generous in giving you than the previous game.
The only downside seems to be that Riju occasionally kills an enemy near a cliff and I can't get their teeth/guts without jumping off, which is asking a lot when you're looting Hyrule Castle again.
its literally impossible to use it 99% of the time. Just use electric keese eyeballs or shock fruit with a good multishot bow
@@Paint6370 Really? I've never once _not_ been able to use it whenever I wanted. Mainly for knocking horribilins off ceilings, boss moblins bringing their minions close together, and any other enemies that don't spread out. If anything, I've had a problem with her activating the warm-up thing when I'm just trying to pick up loot from dead enemies.
Just don’t apply the latest update and use the paraglider duplication on Silver Lynel materials. You will be a god of war forever.
Don’t forget that Riju’s ability can also break rocks. She and Yunobo have saved me hundreds of bomb flowers and blunt weapon durability by blowing up the breakable rock walls you often find in caves. Not to mention they help with mining in the Depths.

Make an Honest Trailer for The Lord of the Rings: Gollum
He didn’t bring up the fact that Zelda evicted Link out of his flat and forced him to spend money he didn’t have to build something new
"take to the skies, and also the downstairs skies"
I died laughing at that one.
i love how there are multiple ways to solve the shrine puzzles,
i came across one recently with a Jenga tower puzzle, that had a ball on top...
i simply let the tower fall on purpose and used recall to stop the ball,
then used Ultrahand to grab the ball and opened the gate to proceed :)
I felt like a mastermind when I figured out that having a random rock fused with a weapon solved all the “find the rock” korok puzzles lol. Also, whenever I couldn’t figure out how to get from Point A to Point B, I would use rocket shields to cheese the shrines.
I, on the other hand, went "ooh, jenga!" and made very sure that the tower did *not* fall :P
In this one shrine, it had these water orbs, and while I could figure out most of the water orb puzzles, the last one had me just confused. So I made a bomb shield to jump over the gap, and just skipped that puzzle entirely.
I simply got closer to the tower and picked the ball with my hax magnesis powers.
This game is PEAK Zelda. It took long to finish it, but it was all worth it. And without any crashes… oh, spoke too soon. 😂
Definitely Peak Zelda, my regret that I didn’t try 100% Breath of the Wild before it came out but that’s no big deal, can do so after Playing through Most of Tears of the Kingdom.
But I still play Breath of the Wild occasionally to do so, well searching TH-cam videos to locate hidden shrines and crap help a lot.

@Kira 1807 majoras mask didn't have boar Ganon. It also only had 4 dungeons. Majoras mask is MANY people's favorite Zelda.
Your complaints are basically that Nintendo didn't treat Zelda like Call of Duty and re-release the same game over and over again.
I, for one, am glad Nintendo is letting their developers follow their creativity and make games that are exciting to them.
@Kira 1807 Wait, so you will attack a game using games from 20 years ago, but we can't defend a game using those very same games that you brought up? Boi, you crazy

Just started the Riju quest last night, and I concur. She is OP.
only if she stops running away from you for a goddamn second so you can activate the ability
except that she's a melee character with a ranged ability
I've only done the Rito quest line so far after getting absolutely side tracked by so many things! And honestly, his traversal ability is pretty good. No wonder the game kept hinting at players to go there first.
@@pknepps Doesn't that optimize her? She has been running towards enemies because she's equipped with a scimitar, but that has allowed me to keep a bit of distance. She's an AOE version of Yunobo's linear attack. Speaking of which, I had him available for initial gibdos encounters, so I couldn't relate to anyone who struggled with them.
@@aidanjackson5084 Tulin has definitely helped me unlock some towers earlier than I would have taking a different route. Once you complete your stamina bars he becomes way less essential.
When you said "Ganondilf" and Hyrule's next top model was so happy 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
“The one you always forget you have” is so accurate I have gotten stumped by so many puzzles because I forget I have that skill
Thirst-trap Ganon is his most powerful incarnation yet. He’s bricked up and voiced by Matt Mercer. We never stood a chance.
GannonDILF had me laughing so hard. Good one, guys.
The difference from Nuts and Bolts is that Hyrule was already gigantic in Breath of the Wild and the Master Cycle Zero went over well, so having vehicles felt like a natural evolution rather than "let's deliberately change the entire gameplay because we made it too big". They're usually optional or have puzzles centered around them, and both the comedy and gamebreaking factors are sky-high (Z-2997, I think, that's the altitude of the highest island above Lookout Landing). Puzzling out the intended solution in shrines is also a good exercise (that rollercoaster one with two rails becoming one was a nice brainstretcher).
Telekinesis and glue: one unexpected combination that is too much fun. I still miss infinite bombs, but Yunobo's a decent replacement.
Only thing this video needs is a spoiler warning in the beginning. This was awesome!
There is so much more. This honest trailer could only fit so much content into a few minutes
Spoiler: Weapons still break.
@@antney7745 We knew that would be the case, but yeah. I was mostly talking about the story line and abilities you get this time.
After a few weeks, spoilers sort of become irrelevant. Most people have at least gotten far enough to unlock a couple of sage abilities. Heck, most people have found the biggest plot twist by now. If people don't want to see spoilers, they shouldn't watch videos about the game.
@@shinyhoarder Depends on your profession, I am just now getting to play, but it won't be until next week that I really get to play the game.

That is his new canon name for me for now on. lmao
I love having to chase my allies around to use their ability while getting bashed by enemies or accidentally jumping onto the sage robot to become a massive target
tbh it seems like Ultrahand would be the most useful irl ability. Lift any object regardless of weight and it comes with free superglue.
This game is an absolute menaxe and Im loving every moment. The fact that most people are creating korok torture machines is amazing and I keep thinking if the nintendo team did see that coming or not
they most likely were well aware of that. after all, the bonus for getting all the koroks in TotK still is...
So love this and all but there are a few spoilers in this video be warned.
Such an amazing game. I still can't stop playing it. I go to do just one last thing and next thing I know I've got ten more one last things. I have to just drop the controller and step away like I'm trying to stop doing drugs or something.
Yes.
Same. I keep staying up until 2am just saying 5 more minutes. Can’t stop.
This is entirely accurate except for 2:39 - They did NOT include enough babygirl outfits to properly prettify Link. I could let slide getting rid of the Gerudo Vai outfit, but not giving the Cece Hat a full set feels like an actual prosecutable fashion crime.
The way I cackled at the Sidon and Link statue in Zora Domain - he is Link’s bf and no one can tell me differently
At least this trailer gives mineru the same treatment as the world of TOTK does. Completely forgetting her existense outside the 2 cutscenes
Oh no, anyway

The yassified version of the game you loved six years ago is the best description of ToTK I’ve seen and Tauro is proof of that
I'd have to think about which ability I'd use most in real life. Phasing through ceilings is a contender, sure, but I make no guarantees I'd use that one most.
my favorite in-game is fuse, but I'd probably realistically use ultrahand, just so I could pick stuff up from across the room

The game has been amazing but i wish they explained more the Lore about the Zonai and the connection with Skyward sword.
Like, are Hylia and the Golden Godesses actually Zonai?
Apparently, Nintendo deliberately left all of that open to interpretation. The only real clue we have to how Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom connect to the other games is that they take place in such a time far ahead that all the other games have faded into myth.
Some people think that BoTW, AoC, and ToTK take place in a separate continuum.
@@h0m3st4r that used to be the case, but ToTK has a character go back to technically just after Skyward Sword, when hyrule was founded, before the rest of the games
@@marinmarinhola Yes but Sonnia and Rauru said that they were the founders and first kings of Hyrule but that should be Link and Zelda from Skyward.
i thought the sage abilities in TOTK were pretty good. It was nice that they didn't have a lengthy cool down. Riju's lightning may be a downgrade compared to Urbosa's fury, but i could use it as much as i wanted without waiting 20 minutes. It was also annoying that the cool down wouldn't start until I used all 3 charges. I would always use 2 charges of an ability and then not need to use it again for an hour, and then get mad that i could only use it once.
The only issue i had with the sages abilities was how difficult it was to use them in the middle of battle. I found out much too late that you could whistle and call them to you, but even that wasn't super helpful. If they could have made some quicker way to access them in the controls that would have made a huge difference.
Like maybe something similar to how holding the 'L' button brings up the wheel menu with your main abilities. You could hold 'down' on the d-pad to bring up another wheel menu with the sage's abilities, and selecting one would automatically teleport them to you and activate them.
Either that, or maybe something like pressing 'A' while aiming your bow on the ground to activate Riju and pressing 'A' while holding a shield to activate Sidon. not sure what you could do for the others.
Please make an Honest Game Trailer for "System Shock".
Doesn’t the build vehicle and robot thing remind anybody of GMOD? That was the first thought that came to mind when I saw the game’s building mechanics

1:57 Glad to see I'm not the only one who thought in Banjo Kazooie Nuts & Bolts.
I didn´t think i was that invested in Sidon-Link until that green stingray showed up and i yelled "Who´s this bitch"
Glad someone else thinks the Champion powers are downgrade. I mean come on, having to physically chase down the avatars to activate the powers? Come on! Still less stressful and more fun to play than Majora's mask though.
Let’s gooooooooo! Who can’t love this game!? It’s soooooo awesome
Oh you're gonna love it, *FOR SURE*
Because it's BoTW again though, so...
I mean, it ain't broke so I guess Nintendo didn't fix it, but they just found themselves a "new formula" and a "new comfort zone" to chill in.
The game isn't bad, by no means is it even close to that. But they, in a very true to self manner, made the same game all over again 😂😂😂
I hate gathering, crafting, cooking and pointless fetch quests in games, tried TOTK and didn’t like it, let alone love it. Sold my copy already. But i can understand a lot of people do like all those things in games
@stijnvonck1431 yeah, this game has a TON of padding. I didn't love it either but I do like it.
Oddly enough, though the way the sage abilities work is a common complaint, I actually _like_ it that way. The sages wandering around and you having to walk up to them or whistle for them feels to me like it gives them more "life" so to speak and provides a small immersive element to me.
I think the only reason they shoehorned in a fiancee for Sidon is so that he can become king of the Zora without us asking if that makes Link co-king. What's-her-face literally said that almost every time Sidon talks, it's to talk about Link.
Can confirm about getting sidetracked. I got Tulin early on and since then I’ve been meandering around doing other stuff. I’ve almost forgotten about the main quest. Been too busy handing out mushrooms and getting a cool hat or helping that idiot put up signs, and trying to activate every shrine butt I see.
Yeah, those sages are a downgrade. It more of a hassle to find them during combat in order to use their powers.
I've avoided so many spoilers in so many YT videos...but I had to watch this one huh?

Which one is?
Pretty sure the Skyward Sword tutorial is pretty long, but then that also depends on where you consider the tutorial to end. :P

Kinda agree on the donwgrade abilities. Used to fly, now a nudge, used to revive, now a bubble shield (like megaman leaf shield), used to have the save bubble shield but 3 times usable and perfect parries, now a less damaging cannon. Riju is good though, riju kinda wanted to make Urbosa proud here.
not a downgrade at all. the cooldown are 10 seconds. so it makes sense to make them not as OP
So did Zelda cause the apocalypse or did they just get really unlucky about when the seal over Ganondorf wore off? Because it didn't seem Link or Zelda did anything.
It was just unlucky timing. He was about to wake up regardless if they were there or not.
I blame the Hyrule royal family for banning Sheikah technology and allowing themselves to become so ignorant of their one responsibility that they failed to do their one job: maintain the seal on Ganondorf.
