I want Zelda to go back to this vibe - the heavy atmosphere and creepy uncanny vibes
Yeah the open-world has its greatness....but it really lost some luster of sorts.
Making Zelda like this would be a herculean task for any dev. You cant really create the n64 era horror vibe with modern visuals. I can understand them not taking the risk, although maybe a smaller zelda game or new ip in this style could be sick@@GabeTechNetStudios
@@GabeTechNetStudios The open world genre of games is mostly filled with a bunch of empty space that serves nothing but to waste more time exploring empty fields that you will never return back to. I guess we should thank Ubisoft for popularizing this trend in gaming since they love turning out the same type of slop gamers will eat up constantly and term over-saturate the gaming market with these big shallow open worlds.

Damn, the way they implemented zora swimming from MM and the new mechanics for the Booster Gauntlets is extremely cool! The OoT romhacking community is full of talent.

I am a proud admirer of Zelda Ocarina of Time and this mod made me feel something I hadn't felt in a long time.
We really are entering the golden age of OoT romhacks.
Man we need another Ocarina Of Time style game so bad, guess times have changed.
Every sound, especially the lock on, even the way Link runs is just so sick.

Yeah modern Zelda has awful sound design. It's more realistic which is strictly less exciting. Zero punch to everything.
the mod Sealed Palace dropped recently, full new OOT game. its pretty great.

To use a plant nursery, its a really cool concept that, if i remember correctly, has never been used in a Zelda game, until now

Super cool. Gives me Forest temple, spirit temple, and fire temple vibes, but also completely unique.
First bridge gave me Goldeneye vibes, the building beyond felt like Tik Tok Clock , then back to the other building some lab at Racoon City

This is amazing. For about 20 seconds I thought I was watching a Twilight Princess hack. I've been playing Zelda since 1991 and I've always preferred the less cartoony ones. Twilight Princess is my all-time favorite so I can really appreciate this re-texture. That armor is awesome and so is this mod!

This hack in particular exceeded my expectations! The premise and design were already interesting, but the custom items and mechanics elevate it to the next level! I just wish the reactor would do something more interesting than just unlock a door. For all the buildup with the puzzles, I expected a more impressive cutscene. Still, the future is a lot brighter for Zelda hacks!
Very good work, super impressed. Half Life, MM forest temple, Minecraft stronghold vibes in there...great stuff.
This was a really solid rom hack, there were a few moments that felt like a new player might not figure out so easily like the book case opening to get the mirror shield or tossing the crates on the pipes in the boiler room. Overall the art direction and quality of the assets particularly on Link are really good, nice rom hack.

So this Link would be a pretty closely modern one since machines are being used. I love this concept. 😁
AMAZING hack. So many puzzles put together with thought to make an actual dungeon. The different parts of the facility all fit together in a resident evil sort of way, but really it comes out unique. And there's an actual structure, which is hard to come up with, even if difficulty is a little too high in some places. Like 34:50 is borderline cruel.
Altogether, it's quite amazing though

I grew up with OOT and Majora's Mask, and this ROM hack looks amazing. The youtube algorithm is terrible, but every once in a blue moon, it turns up a real gem. This is that gem.

Okay, this is really cool. Awesome to see how far this art has come and what can be done with OoT now! Creative and new, while also feeling perfectly appropriate for classic Zelda.
Side note: please consider capturing / uploading OoT at 60fps. OoT runs at 20, so 30fps video gives inconsistent frame pacing that's choppier than the actual game (you can see this firsthand at 0.25 speed). 60 is divisible by 20 though, and should fix the issue for smooth and even frametimes.

ティアキンでフックショットが何故無いのは、ゾナウギアのロケットを盾にスクラビルドしたやつで飛び越えるなり、
ゾナウギアで作る小型のエアロバイクを使うなりでフックショットを使う場面をクリアできるためだ。
それと天井抜けするトーレルーフも意外に役立つ。重量物はウルトラハンドで釣り上げることで解決。
前作のBotWではどうするかが問題。それを考えると、続編のティアキンの方がより自由度が増していると言える。

This is pretty awesome! Are all the textures taken from OOT-MM, or did you made brand new ones? Because they all look on point! I think that's what a lot of people fail at when making new OOT maps. Their textures look too new os sampled in a way that doesn't match. Items and puzzles also look on point. I'd maybe add more saturation and quadraic or complementary palettes to add that 90s punch. Maybe his outfit has too much details/layers also. But that's me trying to set this as an extension of OOT word. Never the less, this is one of the best, if not the best OOT "extension" map I've seen.
I didn't make this mod, it was made by CDi-Fails. That said, I've recognized many textures from Banjo Tooie, so I assume the creator has used textures from other games as well. The artistic work is extraordinary

Just recently played Pumpkin Tower (New video later today) that was quite good too. It's a Majora's Mask mod. Rhere is also Bedtime Story, it's shorter but really good too
