It's crazy how the OOT aesthetic changes how one views this stage. It gives a mysterious and even eerie vibe.

Seems like a pretty neat version of the level. The puzzles definitely make full use of the various areas found in the original Mario 64 level, and the cat you have to feed a fish to was cute.
But it does feel like it's lacking enemies here. You've got the boulders, the Beamos and the Lizalfos at the end, and that seems to be about it. I know Super Mario 64 and Ocarina of Time don't have many similar monsters between them, but a few somewhat thematically appropriate OoT creatures would be nice to see here, like maybe Tektites or Leevers or something.

Yeah. Skulltula, gibdos, the anubis from spirit temple that breath fire, blue greem, and white bubbles. And maybe one wall master.
The outside. Red tektites. 1 blue blue tektite in the water. Guays, leavers like you said. Baby dodongos in A couple spots. Additional lizalfos and a couple dinalfos would be cool too
It's funny because the original boss in the Mario game of this level - Eyerok - is very similar to Gohdan in Windwaker and somewhat similar to Bongo Bongo in Ocarina of Time.
Ok but honestly, why does Shifting Sand Land fit so well with Ocarina of time? I know that SM64 and Ocarina share some assets but still.
OoT's engine is a modified version of the SM64 engine if I remember right
Probs because outside of the pyramid interior, it’s not (that much of) a platforming stage, making it easy for Link to navigate (relatively speaking)

I feel this Shifting Sand Dungeon looks familiar like it's taken from another classic game... of course! The House of Shifting Sands in DQM: The Dark Prince! It even has sand pitfalls and Mandrake Majors! ;P
Jokes aside, this recreation of Shifting Sand Land to be a puzzle dungeon seems great! I do wonder if the way you were supposed to solve that puzzle at 11:11 was to pull the block so that it's half over the pitfall and then push straight it directly forward.
The sky texture makes this a nightmare version
I'd love to see Dire, Dire Docks - however I do realize there would be no way to dive that deep.

You could even have kid Link obtain the Zora Mask from Majora’s Mask and transform into a Zora to traverse Dire, Dire Docks.

Not sure why I expected the Takkuri in the place of Klepto, that's an MM enemy. Though it could be programmed to work like a Like like and killing it will get you back your item.

the slide drop before the lizalfos fight was a really cool idea! giving the player a challenge by dropping them to only 1 heart

Amazing, very cool.
I saw the beta version of this. It's come out really well. Though, you could have made Bongo Bongo the boss. A really tough boss fight for child, on that arena, but it is possible and similar to Eye Rock.
I was hoping for that, maybe in a later version. 🤞

While there is no 1 to 1 equivalent to the wing cap, the hover boots have have some of the functionality, with maybe the longshot also contributing. Although the Iron boots are essentially 1 to 1 equivalent of the metal cap.
Final boss should've been bongo bongo, him and that eye rock boss are basically the same enemy

why are the sound effects slightly off pitch? is that a pal/ntsc difference? they're higher pitch than I'm used to
ah now that you got to the pond and sped up, I suspect the entire footage is played at a slightly faster rate, like 5-10% faster?
I'm playing in a Pal N64, but NTSC game using everdrive. But no idea if that's something that affect the sound effects

No idea honestly, Nintendo took down the Kaze video where the download link was. I had it downloaded for a long time. Check on TH-cam, maybe someone uploaded an alternate link
